All day today I keep thinking of a conversation I heard this morning. It wasn't really that funny but I keep cracking up every time I think of it.

A college student co-op complained to a co-worker that the holidays are too short, especially this upcoming major holiday. It really should be longer. He said "And besides, my father will be driving me crazy". To which the co-worker responds "Why? Don't you drive?".

Actually the co-worker was serious. I don't know if he misheard him or didn't understand American colloquialism (he's originally from a different country). The co-op said it was just a figure of speech. Oh, the father will want to watch football all day & the co-op wants some quiet time, that's what will drive him crazy.

BUT I am weird dd is 10 she did a gift exchange the other day with her cheerleaders. It was 5-10$$ she got a tiny neaklace and ring pack. She said oh that it is gold. I was just telling her that just becasue it is the color gold it isn't real gold. She looked at me said they went to Fred's instead of Jared's)
