I must be obsessed, anyone planning 2009?!

My family (and extended family) are going back to Disney Feb. '09 ( I don't even have the exact dates yet). Is it too soon to be talking obsessively?! Anyone else prepared to do the happy dance for 12+ months with me?!:yay: :cool1: :cheer2:

Well Im traveling to WDW in october and I started planning in January and it is always better to plan in advance, just to start my plane tickets cost half price than now because oil prices werent so high at the time

We booked the 2nd week of January today! We will be staying at WL this time. Hooray!

Not only are we planning December 2009 for Christmas and DH's 40th Birthday...

We're also planning October 2010 for my 40th Birthday!!

:woohoo:

We are currently booked for the WL Villas for June 7-13, 2009, but are hoping to move to the OKW. Gotta wait for the 7 month window to make the change. 12 of us going, three families, each with a 6 year old (by then). Are we nuts? We promised the guys they could golf a couple of times.

I am dancing with all of you!! :dance3: I have 2009 planned too, well for the most part. Dh and I are taking our daughter (17th birthday) in Feb 09 (5 nights SSR), land and sea Sept 09 (7 nights AKV), and Oct 09 anniversary getaway (5 nights AKV). I can't wait!!

March 15-22, 2009 at SSR This is a no park trip so we spend our time enjoying all the free stuff that happens at each resort. Movies by the pool, Electric light parade, Wishes from the deck at the Contemporary, Campfire at WL and hopefully another space shuttle launch if NASA cooperates. The teens spend countless hours at Disney Quest and adults take the lovely walking path to OKW for breakfast. It goes right past the Tree Houses and I'm curious to see them up close before they tear them down (rumor).

:drive: On the road again. :drive:

My husband thinks I am crazy. We haven't even gone on our two trips this yr and I am already making next yrs. plan

We booked our room tonight!

Now...we just have to sit back and wait 15½ months. Ugh.

I'm so happy to be back on the Dis boards! DH and I decided last night to go ahead with plans for an early Dec. '09 trip, so I can officially let the obsessing... I mean PLANNING begin.:cool1:

We are planning Dec 4-12, 2009. First trip for DH & I alone. Planning to stay at CR, CL, MK view. We won't be able to book until after our November trip of this year so I hope there are still rooms left

We now have reservations and airfare for Sept 24 - 27, 2008 (to go to MNSSHP), Dec 13 - 17, 2008 (to go to MVMCP, etc.), Feb 15 - 18, 2009 (going with Disney Freak Friends).:cool1:

We also have reservations & airfare for a trip to Key West for a week in May 2008. We discovered Key West on a Disney Cruise last November!!:thumbsup2

We are planning a week in AKV with our DD, DSIL & DGK's in Sept 2009, an Adventure's by Disney trip to the Grand Canyon in May 2010 and November 2010 for a week at OKW for our 10th wedding anniversary!

To be perfectly honest, I have not thought about 2011 yet...HMMMM, where to go....:rotfl:

Dude, it's never too early to start planning. We won't be there until Halloween '09 and we've gotta get the financial stuff sorted and reservations made^^ Big trips take big planning.

*Here's for early Happy Dancing!*

No, not too early. That's what I've been doing for our Feb. 09 trip. At least it's keeping me busy until Fall semester starts.

We will be at POR from 1/26-2/4! I am already planning too. Never too early. LOL

Okay, we are going this Nov for the family w/Gram along. Going next June 09 with two other families we are real good friends with. Staying in a villa. Right now at WL, with a 2-bed and studio. Hoping to change to OKW and a 3-bed so we can all be together.
and maybe, just maybe I will be there mid May for some training. Got prior approval to attend if the funding is available.
Definitly changing my tixs to AP when I get there in Nov.

Last night one friend said, oh I hope you don't get tired of Disney. All I could do was stare at her. Tired of Disney? Is that possible?

Well, we've been home just a day from a week long stay at Walt Disney World. While we were there, we were planning our 2009 trip., We stayed at the CBR in one of the new Nemo themed rooms.

On our day off, we headed over to the Wilderness Lodge to check it out. We originally had booked a stay at the Wilderness Lodge but had to cancel because our daughter was injured while on a missionary trip. We walked all around resort and looked at their small counter service area. While we thought the resort was beautiful, in all honesty, I am glad that we didn't spend the extra money to stay there. I don't know if it just didn't appeal to us because we live in a log home and our landscaping is very similar to the WL???? We just didn't feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

So, that afternoon, we decided to check out Pop Century which is where we would have stayed had our brother and sister in law gone with us. We were very leery about our possible stay there so we wanted to see what the resort had to offer.

Our main concerns about Pop Century were the room size and the bus stops. We walked around the resort grounds and asked one of the mousekeepers if we could look at one of the rooms. She said she had to ask one of her supervisors who just happened to be just around the corner. They were very accommodating and were glad to show us a room that had just been checked out of and cleaned. The rooms didn't see to be that much smaller than those at the CBR even though I know they are.

The bus stops weren't that bad either. I like the way they are set up like a line for an attraction. I prefer those type of lines instead of people running up in front of you to get on a bus.

So........we've decided to book our 2009 stay at Pop Century. It'll be a nice change from the CBR (have stayed there 3 times) and I can now rest easy about the room size and bus situation.

Never to early to plan a WDW vacation!

We love POP! The food court is awesome, the shopping is great and the buses are fab - you don't share resort bussing so it's quite efficient!

I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay there!:hippie:
