I must be nuts, Laptop surgery

I just took apart my laptop, I have had my "baby" now for a little over a year. It is a HP 17" media center laptop and I LUV it, however, HP was not thinking so clear on this model because it runs VERY hot, so hot that in the last few weeks it has been shutting itself off out of the blue on me. Well I just got the bright idea to take apart the are where the fans are on the botom side. OMG!!!!! I pulled out some seriose dust bunnys!! Its amazing, I can not even hear the engin reving anymore....

Sorry for the randomeness but my son is not impressed and my husband is not home so I just had to share my good news

LOL, Ya I was able to but if I had the right size screw driver to keeping taking more of it apart it may have been an issue

Yep my Toshiba did that...I bought a can of compressed air that I use to blow out all the dust...instead of taking it apart

I did try that, it didnt work. This stuff was under the metal panel that holds in the fans. I am so SHOCKED I have now had this baby on for well over two hours and not one loud engin rare to be heard. 'Its a darn good thing I am easily pleased.......... (ok, i am really NOT easily pleased, I am a spoiled brat who pouts when I dont get my way, but who asked)
