I don't know how many of the old collectors are still here. I check in every once in a while but now that I had to cut down on pins I don't post often. I only buy what I like now, can't do traders anymore.
I miss the old gang. I remember when we were one of the top posted boards on DIS. I remember the Thursday night chats when we talked about pins once in a while but mostly about our families, lives and trips to WDW.
I miss the waiting in line for pins. I know alot of people like the RSP but those 3 am waits in line, talking to everyone and trading were fun.
I can't afflrd the events anymore and even if I could get to WDW for the weekend I can't anymore. WDW has scheduled them on my grandson's birthday and I can't go to an event when he is having a birthday party.
Now that I am on disability I have to start pruning my collection and selling some pins. But I look at them and can't decide which ones I want to sell. Every pin I have has some meaning to me. I either waited in line to get it, made a trade with a wonderful person for it, or someone sent me it either in a swap or just because. We had alot of "just becauses" in our group.
I welcome all the new collectors and still try and give out some pins when I am in WDW, I still have lots of those trader pins left that no one seems to want anymore. They make great traders for the new or young trader.
So, if you are one of the old ones say hello, and if you are a newer trader welcome, and enjoy pins. I did and still do..
