I miss spectromagic

I MISS MISS MISS Spectromagic sooooo much!!!!!!! I fell in love with it when I first saw it on my Honeymoon 19 years ago! We were in Disney this past April and May and watched the MSEP, but it just didn't hold the "magic" for us. I'm sure it's probably the same for those who grew up with MSEP and then saw Spectro.

When is it coming back you ask??????.....

I mentioned this on another thread....
During our trip this past May, we did the Backstage Tour at the MK. We saw the Spectromagic floats hidden under tarps. I asked our guide..."is Spectromagic coming back, and if so, any time soon"???? She said "it IS coming back, maybe in a year, maybe in 3 years...I don't know when".

THAT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!!! I'm just happy to hear it's coming back!! Thank Goodness we have videos to watch until the real thing comes back!!!

In all the fast planning for our quick trip, I missed that Spectro was gone. We only did one park, MK and I insisted that we see the night parade thinking it was SPECTRO. Boy was I wrong and disappointed. I really did not care for the Main Street Electric Parade. Give me Spectro any night!

I grew up watching the MSEP, but when I took my own kids in 2009, the music in Spectro. had me. I just like it so much better.

Oh how I wish they would bring Spectro! My first trip to WDW was in 2004, so that's the nighttime parade I remember. MSEP is OK, but Spectro has that killer soundtrack and disco feel to it.

I'll agree that certain visuals are better, we did think the smoke was neat but everybody that has talked about the music is right. The music for spectro is so much better! That's the part that really does it for me, especially when the kids sing at the beginning

Count me in as well....I totally miss Spectro... While it was nice to see MSEP last year, I really thought it was going to be a summer/fall thing and that's it. Here we are, going on a year and a quarter and no news of MSEP going back to Cali..

Ok, I have a great idea, how about ya'll write en mass to Disney, so we can get MSEP back in DLR (esp DCA) and then they can bring spectromagic back for WDW. I sure miss MSEP, especially if it's not living up to expectations in FL.

This is probably the last thread I needed to see....I am dreading heading back to the world and not being to see Spectro Magic. I haven't seen MSEP yet, so I should try to keep an open mind.

We like MSEP more but Spectromagic is lovely too. We've seen MSEP a lot now and just love it more each time!

I've heard and seen both. Because of the music, I really prefer Spectro. There is just something about that music....I dont care so much about the floats and their content, I just love the music! Oh well....I'll just have to go to youtube and listen to the Spectro soundtrack until they bring it back.

There hasn't been a night parade in DL for a while. MSEP was last in DCA which now has World of Color.

I can. All I have to do is listen to the music, and I can see the parade if I want. I love that parade, and want it back. Do you listen to a soundtrack with the Genie from Aladdin or Roger Rabbit?

I miss SpectroMagic... I never got to see the whole parade when I first saw it, but it was so pretty and I loved the music. Like with Wishes, it puts me in awe and I just love it. MSEP is still a great night-time parade, but Spectro fits in a lot better with the Wishes and Magic, Memories and You! tempo.
