We moved because the military asked us to move. Yes things are broken and "lost" but I did not have a clue I would miss my crockpot as much as I do.
It is winter and cold here in IL (we moved from CA) and I have wanted to make many crockpot dishes. BUT NO, somehow the movers or the packers broke my crockpot. :sad1:
I know I can just go buy another one, but my wonderful crockpot was perfect and searching for another is just not easy.
Todays rain calls for a good chili or chicken noodle soup.... bummer.

...what are you waitin' fer??? GO POST-HASTE AND GIT YERSELF A CROCKPOT, woman! [...can ya tell that I can't live without mine... ]

I am in IL too.

Go now, get another one! It is still going to be cold here for quite a while!

I want a new one- one of those fancy  new ones that are digital and keep the dish warm after cooking. Do you want mine and I'll get the new one. :lmao::rotfl:

Really buying a crockpot is not that hard. Buy one the same size as you had. You will have many choices under $50.

Go buy one to use until you are able to find the perfect one. It's not bad to have two crockpots! I use mine all the time, so I would be lost without it.

GO GO GO :goodvibes

I'm in the minority because I never use my crockpot anymore. Mine is 30+ years old and I just don't trust it anymore, and have never felt the need to buy another as I didn't use it all that much anyway.

I used to make homemade soup in it, but now I find it's just as easy to make it and simmer it on the stove for 2-3 hours. I'm sure I would use one more if I worked outside the home, but since I'm home most of the time I just don't care all that much about having one.

...she's right - mine is older than Methuselah, even though it still works great...I'd love to get myself a new one!

I would die without my crockpot. Go buy another and make something quick. You still have time to make dinner! :goodvibes

Mine was 13+ years old and I wanted a new one - bigger and with the programmable functions. I hemmed and hawed and said I didn't really need it. DH finally said - it's $30 - go buy the dang thing. So I did. And within a month, had occasion to use both. I love my new crockpot :)

Um, I got a programmable one (not used yet; okay, not out of the box yet :umbrella: ) from QVC for under $30. I was looking at the Hamilton Beach for about $40-$50 (Target, QVC, Amazon), but went with this one instead.

My old one was about 12 years old. I told my husband if he really wanted to give me something for Valentine's Day it would be a new crockpot. I got one and I love my husband!

good grief girl-go get another one-i have 4-in different sizes and programable-and i bought my mother in law the new hamilton beach with three different sized liners for christmas-and it was less than 60 dollars.

Wait, the programmable is only $30?
The 6qt programmable oval by Rival with a bonus mini crockpot is $40 at Costco. There was a coupon a little while ago for $10 off plus a $5 mail in rebate at the time. Even at full price it wasn't a bad deal.
