Our last trip was my first full-length trip using my digital camera. I absolutely loved using it, don't get me wrong, but now I'm faced with the task of weeding through over 2000 pictures and deciding which ones to order, ie which ones to scrap. I kind of miss the days of dropping the film off and picking up a nice pack of photos ready to go.
We got back a month and a half ago and I've been putting off doing this because I knew it was a bear of a task. Not to mention going through all my "stuff" - receipts, brochures, etc (I have a big shopping bag full) plus going through my swap stash and figuring out what elements I'll be using, and that's all before I sit down to actually scrap anything!
I figure this album will be done around 2017. If I'm lucky.

), so we with 3 of us each having a camera, I'm sure we won't be lacking in the pictures. And since we will have so many, I think I'm going to try my hand at digi scrapping. Don't feel bad about the album taking so long- I'm still working on our '05 trips!
Now that seems crazy! It took me a while to get used to picking which pictures to print, but now it doesn't seem weird. Plus if I don't print one now, I can always print it later. With film we were always having to pay for some bad and strange pictures. I can't remember how many we took on our 7 day trip to WDW, but it was definitely over 2000. I once took 500 photos at Greenfield Village in less than 4 hours. My friend went to China for 2 weeks and only took 500 photos.
