Sailing solo on a WBTA, I joined with 13 other cruisers from this forum for our dining table. It was like a big family. We covered the age spectrum from 2 yo to retired. One couple was even from the community next to our town.
Palo brunches over the years, in the private dining room, with forum friends.
On the first cruise of a B2B, the chef at Palo came to speak with us. We started talking about lasagna and how I had some on previous cruise (it wasn’t on the menu at this point). He was proud to say it was his lasagna I had previously and asked what day I was coming back - and made lasagna that night. It wasn’t offered to others; what we didn’t eat was going to be enjoyed by the Palo staff.
Always Golden Mickeys.
Late night movies on Funnelvision, snacking on pizza, FREE coke, and soft serve ice cream, enjoying the ocean breeze and starlit sky (and amazing lack of people).
Eating the same thing for breakfast at Cabanas / Beach Blanket, including discovering the Muesli. Corned beef hash and link sausage.
Chateau Briand in Triton’s. Cuban salad in Carioca’s (and the decor). Truffle pursettes in AP. Filet mignon and chocolate souffle in Palo.
(Amazingly, I’m not a big fan of the food - but I do have my go-to favs).
Complimentary Palo meal as Platinum.
Towel animals.
The classic design of the ships. The Dale Chihuly chandelier in the atrium.
Clean language / topics comedians for adults.
Cast members in uniforms.
Disney Terminal at Port Canaveral.
(I recently tried Carnival; those last things really stood out to me).
Hearing Brent speed deliver his morning announcement. Laughing at Captain Thor’s extremely slow, rambling noon talk from the bridge.
Trivia.
Sitting on loungers on Deck 4, sailing through Tracy Arm in Alaska, on my 50th birthday.
Hearing someone call out a high school nickname (From Alabama) while in the security line at Vancouver.
Serenity Bay. Especially one time during low tide when I could walk out to the sandbar.
Taking my nieces on the only cruise line my sister would allow.
Having my niece go on a
Disney cruise to Alaska (repeat) for her honeymoon.
