We are gonna be very sad to miss this ride again on our visit. My son really would have enjoyed this ride and I really enjoyed it too. The saddest part is they haven't put anything in it's place (last time I was there nothing new anyhow)....or has something been added there?

Nope, nothing new. It's still just hanging in limbo.

Was kind of a neat attraction, wasn't it?

They would come up with new attraction for this area. It's been many years since 20,000 closed.::yes:: :wave2:

Didn't they changed it into "Ariel's Grotto"?

I miss that ride to. They put Ariel's Grotto (meet and greet area) next to the area, but it's not in the area. There is the statue of Ariel's father that is in the water, but it is off to the side close to the grotto.

If you would like to see the ride again. Go to this site (Digital Disney) http://198.65.141.39/ , they have video of the ride.

I love the site, I am in the process of downloading everything, they have some stuff on there that is not even in the parks anymore.

Agree with you here, it is disappointing to enjoy a ride like that one and years later, come with your children to share it and discover it has been long closed!

There are characters at the site, on scheduled photo sessions. It is sort of a filler, but still...

I am going to be the dissenting voice here. I thought this was one of the worst rides at Disney. Personally once was enough and I have never looked back on this one.

I had fond memories of it too. Really a good ride for the under 8 crowd.

My DH likes to kiddingling tease me about how he never got to ride it since I would not stand in line for it during our honeymoon when it was still open. By the time we got around to go again it had closed. I really didn't think it was that great of a ride which is why I would not stand in a long line for it 9 years ago. But I do wish they would put something else in there. I'm sure the Imagineers could think up something really cool!
