I might get a dog...

If it is a girl name it Sara. If it is a boy name it sean or timmy.

I have a poodle. If you wants a playful dog it would be a good idea to get a poodle. the toy poodle is really playful. I have had my toy poodle for 6 years, and he acts like he is only 6 months. A good thing about the poodles are that they do not shed.

yea but my moms allergic..i thought of getting a beagle, cocker spaniel or golden retriever

Oh. I'm am i little bit illerigic to dogs and the only reason we got a poodle is because most people are not illergic to them. I'm sorry if it seems like i'm pushing you to got a poodle.

i have a dog. its a mix. hes part golden retriever and part beagle. hes cute but fat. hes 6 years old, ( please make sure you don't feed your dog too much cause they can get really fat ).

get a dog that's cute, playful, doesnt rip up stuff around the house, and make sure hes not agressive around children! i can't really tell you what kind because i dont know what you like. same thing with the name. my dog's name is Sam and my cat's name is Eddy. we had a problem the first time we got Sam, he pooed and peed all over the carpet when he was a pup. but they learn not to do that anymore after 1 or 2 weeks.
welll have agood life with that pup!

Golden Retreivers are the sweetest dogs ever! They are soo cute and friendy, they love attention.

I like Max for a name for a boy dog.

I would consider where you live, how much free time you can spend with him/her, and the personality you want. If you live in an apartment, don't get a great dane obviously. If you would rather lay on a couch than go for a walk, don't get a high energy dog. I love mixes/mutts. The best advice I can possibly give you is to get a dog from a humane society or rescue. You will be saving a life and getting a new best friend. Puppies from good breeders will go to a good home and the breeder will make sure of it. A lot of pet stores get their puppies from puppy mills, which is a sad, disgusting place for "profits" (AKA puppies) to be made. Humane Societies do have puppies and contrary to what people believe, they do have pure breds. Just let the people at the rescue/humane society what you want and they will most likely be glad to let you know if the perfect dog for you comes in.
Good luck and I would love to hear about your dog when you get him/her.

Get a Golden Retriever!I have one and its the best dog in the world!

I have two Bassett Hounds, they are very friendly dogs, and they aren't aggressive at all. Unless you try to wrile them up. Hope this hepls!

Mu aunt had a golden retreiver and his name was buddy. They are very fun 2 play with but it is very hard 2 let them go. :sad2: :guilty: very hard it has alomst been a few months and i still cry.

I have a cocker spaniel! But i'm also looking for a new puppy...I wanted a maltese but there REALLY exspensive! SOO i'm gonna get a Imperial Shih Tzu..Red and white!! And i wanna lil girl soo i can put lil bows in her hair..and paint her nails!!!

I have two dogs, a shepherd mix & a beagle. Both are from a humane society. I agree with Simba928, the rescues and humane societies are great places to get a dog. And they do have puppies and purebreds (like my beagle). As for a type of dog, mixes are wonderful =).

I have a shih tzu, and I adore her! She's 3 years old, and very playful. She's also very friendly and loves people. Shih tzus are small, so if you don't have a very big house (our hose is kinda small), they are great. They are also hypoallergenic (meaning they don't cause allergies).

One thing that I forgot to add is that if you have any other pets make sure they get along with them. For example, if you have a cat (or other small animal including rats, hamsters, rabbits, etc.), you wouldn't want to get an adult huky unless you know for sure that it is good around cats (huskies like to chase small animals). If you get a puppy, you can get just about any breed because if he/she is raised with another animal, they will be able to get along with most of the time. I had a husky and she got along GREAT with my cat. One fact to consider is that once a dog hits the age of 2, they become harder to adopt out of humane societies. If you are busy, an older dog (I don't mean like 8 or 10, although that would be very kind if you did) would be great for you. You won't have to worry about house breaking and, if you are lucky, they might be already trained.
Please feel free to PM me if you want more info. Good luck!!

I have a yellow lab, and he is very very sweet. His name is Joe, and he'll be 2 in a couple weeks! We got him near my grandmother's house in New Hampshire, by a guy who has been breeding labradors for 15 years. He's a big dog, and they have a lot of energy, so be prepared to take him out and run around with him/her often!
Good luck!
