As a leader, perhaps you can join your fellow scouts in reversing the discriminatory practices of the BSA. I think the scouts do some great things but lots of kids don't get a chance to participate. For example, just this week the executive board of our synagogue took a vote on whether or not to allow the formation of a troop. It was voted down unanimously because of the discrimination issue. As a result, lots of young boys in our congregation won't have the opportunity to join a local troop
Sorry your temple is short-sighted.As a result, lots of young boys in our congregation won't have the opportunity to join a local troop.

What about through their local public school? That's how my son joined.
A local Boy Scout leader has been trying to form a troop and has been unable to find a facility to host the group. In fact, he came to us after his own house of worship turned him down for the same reason.
