Last night, I made the highest possible rank in Boy Scouting. I obtained Eagle Scout, joining less than 4% of all scouts. I would recommend Scouting to any boy. I have so many great memories of the past six years. :)

How wonderful- all your hard paid off. That is a great accomplishment.

Congratz

I quit in 6th grade to play football.

Learning how to tie a not just wasn't my thing, hehe.

Congratulations!

My DS (12) just joined Boy Scouts last month. He's actually going camping for the first time this weekend. And both my nephews are in it and they really enjoy it. My nephew is almost 15 and he wants to make Eagle Scout so badly.

Congratulations!! I have a friend that did that years ago. He's been in the Army 27 years and is a Lt. Colonel at present. He's looking forward to Colonel in the next couple years. :teeth:

Great job!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Congratulations, you should be very proud of yourself.

Congratulations~!

Give me a Scout that will be strong enough to know when he is weak and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid...

…who is proud and undaunted in honest defeat
but humble and gentle in victory.

Give me a Scout whose heart is clear and whose goals are high

…who will learn to master himself before he tries to master others

…who has learned to laugh but has not forgotten how to weep

…a Scout who will look to the future yet never forget the past

…who has enough sense of humor that he may always be serious.

Give me a Scout with humility to learn that to know himself is the
foundation stone of all knowledge

…who has not followed the paths of ease and comfort,
but has solidly faced the trials of challenge

…who has learned to stand up to the teeth of the storm
and has learned to accept passion for those who fail

…who has knelt to give sympathy to those who cannot help themselves.

Give me a Scout who so stands before his fellow men that his Scoutmaster dares to
whisper, “I have not lived in vain.”

And when you find this Scout…

he bears the mark of an Eagle.

WooHoo, Brad!!:bounce:

I am very, very proud of you! The Trail To Eagle is a long and winding one - now that you have reached the top of the mountain, it's time to celebrate!

What was your Eagle Scout project?
And - are you going to the National Scout Jamboree at Fort AP Hill next summer?

Good for you, congratulations! :bounce:

Congratulations... that is a tremendous accomplishment, lots of hard work and dedication..

My son is a Star ( soon to be Life), so i have an appreciation of the hard work that you have put into this accomplishment...

Congrats!!! That's AWESOME!

DS just completed his project this past weekend, now he had to just tie up the loose ends YIPPEE!

CONGRATULATIONS - that is a great acomplishment that will serve you well your entire life. Way to go!

I wish. Our troop's summer camp is that same week.

My project was to rebuild an ampitheater that was destoryed in the 1986 floods.

This is what I started with. I had to remove the old railroad tie benches, and replace them with new bences.

This is how it turned out. I also had a fire ring donated:

how kewl is that! My son just joined Tiger scouts this year! I really hope he enjoys it and sticks with it. So many fun and wonderful things to learn and do.
Congrats!
What happens now? I know very little about boy scouts.
What a wonderful thing you did! Great pictures!

Truly a wonderful accomplishment! Your project is awesome!

You can be very proud :)

Congratulations!

Congrats.... Job well done!

Wow - what a great project, Brad!:bounce: :D

Darn - I thought maybe you would be going to Jambo - I know your Council is just one down from ours. My son is going - his 2nd Jambo - the first one he was 13 and broke his arm on the 3rd day, so he's hoping to have a little more fun this next time around.

So - when do you think you will have your Court of Honor? How tough was the Board of Review? Were you sweating it? My son says that it's pretty intimidating to sit before a bunch of people and be questioned about a variety of things!

Congratulations, again! I'm very proud of you.

Spinning - some boys drop out of Scouts after achieving Eagle. My son became an Eagle Scout in 2003. (Board of Review in
Feb., Court of Honor in June.) He truly loves Scouting and camping and the OA (Order of the Arrow, Scouting's national honor society of camping), so he has remained very active with the Troop, OA and Scouting. In fact. he went to Philmont in 2003, NOAC this past summer, and was just made Administrative Vice Chief in his OA Lodge.

Boys can be a part of the Troop as a Boy Scout until they turn 18, after that they can then become as Assistant Scoutmaster or a committee member.
