I got mine more than a year ago. Didn't know about the companion pass or I would have done that. Maybe close mine, and have my husband get two?!

That's not a bad idea as long as the 50,000 bonus point promotion is still going...I thought it was down to 25,000? Anyway, I got the regular premier card in Jan to get the 50,000 points and then last month applied for the business card so I could get another 50,000 and do the companion pass. They initially turned me down for the business card (even though I have great credit) because I had opened the other card so recently. I called them and they approved me over the phone. So, now we are waiting on the new card to get here so we can charge the $2000 to get the additional bonus points. The great thing about the companion pass is that it will be good for the rest of this year AND all of next year!!

Hmmm. That sounds great! My husband did get an email offer ring him 50,000 bonus points. But I don't know if he would be offered the same with a business's card. I do think you need to have specific offer to get the bonus points. We are planning to fly in December but normally only fly once a year so if he didn't get the bonus points quick enough I don't know if it would be worth it for him to have two cards or not.

If you already have one and received 50,000 points this year, it's a better plan to open another different SW card in your name because then you will get to 110,000 points and get a companion pass.

I did this last year, opened one of each of their cards. I got the companion pass which is awesome cause my fiancé can fly free with me when I fly on miles. We went to Disney in December, going again in May & October (planning Disney wedding & the wedding!), and we are going to Denver in May and just used miles and the companion perk for the flights. We are thinking of going somewhere else in July as well cause we might as well take advantage of the perk while we have it!

When I told DH we would get the companion pass in April or May this year, he said, "This DOES NOT give you permission to plan additional vacations!" He knows me so well

Haha! He sounds just like my husband! He will probably say not to get the card just for that reason. SW doesn't fly to Hawaii do they? I want to go to Aulani.....

I believe we were! March 9-16th. It was fabulous. Was just DH and myself so we really just wandered around eating and drinking...I think I gained 5 pounds! But the weather was perfect! Now, just mapping out our plan for October....5 adults and 4 kids...yikes!

I believe I read on here the other day they are adding Hawaii flights in 2015! I feel like I saw it on the DVC board when someone was asking about airfare?

Found the thread, it's a SW employee stating they should be flying to Hawaii in the future, but I was wrong...it's 2016!

How was yours?

Ours was great too (3/16-3/21),only one day rain. Crowds not bad. First time seeing F&G - loved it! We have bigger group going on our next trip too. Not until December for us though. Atleast 7 - possibly more.....
