I loved the poly but Jambo house stole my heart! Dec 11 graduation TR!x2 7/13 COMPLET

I haven't updated since last month. Sorry about that but here we go...

While I had hoped we were done within the hour before the park opened. It did not happen. We ended up leaving 15 minutes after. At this time Tangled become a new movie of mine and even devyn. For those who have seen the movie, devyn sings or more like hymn's the opening song and on the part after she bakes and puts her thumb out on the spot she paints the stars, devyn does that too. So I really wanted to see here. I guess I should have seen here the other day because even though the park just opened, by the time we got there, her line was already an hour and a half long. So we missed her and I am sad because Flynn rider doesn't meet with her anymore.

We had to be back at the resort before 2:30 so we had about 4 and half hours to enjoy. So we ended up starting back at dumbo with a much shorter wait than to see Rapunzel.

Then we went on peter pan. Tj wanted to ride with me this time.

TJ asked to ride the roller coaster train or also known as big thunder mountain railroad, so we headed that way. However, we stopped because we ran into frontier donald.

Then to the collar coaster train :rotfl:

Someone took these and gave it to my mom while they were waiting for us to get off. I love them.

We rode three times in a row with no wait. Loved that!

Then, back to fantasyland to ride IASW and Winnie the pooh

We left fantasyland and went to tommorwland, with our fist stop being the speedway, followed by the people mover and buzz.

Time for devyn's speech therapy but ill finish this TR TODAY...

Sounds like y'all were having a great day! :thumbsup2

Man, that line for Rapunzel! :headache: They need to start up a FP for her.

Can't wait to hear what else y'all were able to squeeze in before having to leave. Although, y'all really accomplished a lot that morning! :goodvibes

My goodness I know. I could not believe her line was that long. It was only 9:15am.

That's crazy about the Tangled line being so long already!! I absolutely adore that movie. :lovestruc In fact, it came on Encore three times yesterday, and I watched it two and a half times! :rotfl: The music is so great, and Rapunzel is definitely a close second to my favorite princess (first will ALWAYS be Ariel!). I think she is meeting in the Town Square Theater now with other princesses, so I'm hoping we can FP that in October and meet her. I made her a page in Paxton's autograph book, but that is more for me than for him. ;)

LOVE those pictures of y'all on BTMR!! How awesome that the PP photographer caught them and was able to put them on the card for you. I have never seen them do photos like that before. Very lucky!!

I love that movie too. I am the one that is watching and singing along in the back. I could not believe that either at that wait and i feel worse that flynn is not with her.
I do love those pics. My mom just gave me the card. She said the lady was trying to get some managers family on there but they were not looking and she got me cause i was like screaming at devyn on the train.:goodvibes

It was almost 1 o'clock and I knew that this was the end. We went on two more rounds of the people mover and headed to the exit. Taking one last picture,

We used our last snack credits on a chocolate covered pretzel, cotton candy, and some cookies and got the bus back to Jambo.

Look at this face. I bet he was thinking he did not want to leave

ry%3D400

We got back in plenty of time that Devyn got to do some exploring and the other little one fell asleep on the bus back to Jambo

we stopped to eat before we went through security. Mistake we will not do again # 1. We will go through security before eat . We shared a nugget meal from McDonald's. It was the worst food we had all week. It was also then that I realized the mickey cookies and cream ice cream I got at mara for dessert was still in the freezer at jambo. How could I forget that? Mistake to never do again number 2. Check the freezer before i leave nit just the fridge.

We still had a little over an hour to get the flight so we just went on through security. I looked up and saw our gate number under the section we go through security and we always go this way so we did the same. And it was soooo slow. So slow in fact that it took us almost 45 minutes to finish. This was partly my fault because I had on a sweatshirt and under my shirt I had a disney celebration button that I totally forgot about. So imagine my surprise when I beeped several times through security. Everyone kept asking me what I had and I had nothing. I was about to cry because I thought these people would think I was going to sneak something but I wasn't. In fact I was starting to cry when the lady told me it was ok she would just pat me down. They start from the bottom to the top and low and behold, there it was a celebration button. The lady thought it was so funny. She told me she could usually tell what people have by looking at them but she could not tell by me. I felt very good when she mentioned that it actually happens a lot.
Mistake number 3. Get rid if those buttons before I leave because I will end up throwing them away anyway.

It was close to plane time but not that close. We would still have time to sit a bit and go to the bathroom. As many times as I have flown through this airport, this has never happen. We always fly airtran and go the same way. As I mentioned before, I did read the area that said gates so and so and that's the area we went under. I saw the train coming so we just hurried and went to get the train. We get on and off and I head towards the gates. I look for our gate number and realize, it was not here. I say this again, as many times as I have flown through this airport I always get on the same train or at least I thought cause apparently our gate was in another area. We caught the wrong train. Call me dumb but i have never realized that there was more than 1 train. What was i thinking! This is not the monorail. I m thinking I did not even know their was another train and the sign said to enter here for our gate. However, once you go through security , you have more than one train to choose from to take you to the appropriate gate. Talk about someone feeling dumb. That was me. So we take the train back and realize that four other people did the exact same thing. One of those guys was even on our flight. Another guy said he lived in Orlando and travels every weekend and he has never realized this and that they should fix their signs. So I felt a little better but still dumb.So we ask a guy how to get to our gate and he informs us that we have to go through security again!!!!!!!! Our flight leaves in like 20 minutes. EWW
what where we to do?

So we went to go back through security and hope for the best

until the man comes along and takes us along with the other people who got mixed up to the employee check in area with no wait. I was beyond hopeful but still scared we were so close to our flight. The line was short and we were out in no time. This time though I did not have that stupid button on. We took the right train over to our gate and we literally had like 10 minutes left. I thought that was pretty good so we casually walked to our gate until I hear over the intercom.....

Debra T. , Tio Gaither, Devyn, and bashawnika( not my name but this is how people pronounce it) . Please come to gate 100 for final boarding. My mom and I look at each other and start running like crazy. Lucky for us, our gate was the first one. The guys were laughing at us cause we were running with 2 strollers and our carry on's dragging on the floor. They looked at us and said, “ YOU MADE IT!!” Thank goodness, after all that we made it. That experience really tired me out and devyn too. He fell asleep before we even took off and me just after we took off. The flight was great because the plane was so empty, Devyn laid out on a row all to himself and I took the other side. We arrived back home and into cold Atlanta weather.

Whew! What a day at the airport! But, I'm glad y'all were able to make the flight!

So sorry that your trip is over! But, thank you for sharing your wonderful memories with us. Sounds like y'all had a fantastic trip! pixiedust:

Well that is the end. I think i have been dragging this out so i can hold on to it since i will not be back anytime soon. I am currently hoping yet planning to go back next September. Ugh that is so far away but for good reason. Devyn will be turning 4 years old and he will be able to ride the big rides. He is currently 38 and a half inches tall so im sure he will be well past 40. Right know im hoping for the 9th through 17th. If not that long i will take a short 4 even 3 day trip. My main goal is to get him there for his birthday.

So recap this trip.
You all know that i love Jambo and AKL but there is no way i can afford a deluxe on my single parent salary. I will stay there again one day just not for a few years, maybe. Although i really want to try other resorts but apart of me just wants to stay where I love.

Our trip was the 8th through 15th of December. The year before we came in December was later in the month and we stayed at poly. I did not see any difference crowd wise except that it was more crowded than i expected. I know that in Georgia the kids did not get out of school till the 20th and i was expecting less people there but i guess we are not the only ones to take the kids out of school there last week. I know that my mom would never take me and my sis out the last week with final exams coming up.

Dining
While on the DDP this trip made me realize how different it is to eat when you have children.we tried all new places except one, that was cape may.
I have to tell you that the 1st time we went there while on my DCP. I did not like it because they did not have crab legs then or they did not have them every night. I love crab meat and this is the one reason that keeps me back. It has become a place i will revisit every trip.

Ohana: A 1st for us and the one i was looking forward to most because of the reviews. However, we did not have a good experience here. I did not enjoy the meal because i rushed so and devyn was not into it. I will not scratch it off my list entirely because I know that my DS mood had a great impact on the meal. If i try it again and still not like it then that will be it. My mom did not enjoy it not even the food so it will be a while before we try it again.

Teppan edo:
I really enjoyed our meal here but my mom thought it was just ok. She prefers our local hibachi grill. We are so use to having fried rice instead of noodles that i think she was thrown off. The cook was super nice and funny. I am sure we will come back but not that often since our local hibachi has just as good food and more affordable

Garden grill:
Looking at the menu, I did not think i would like the food. The main reason I booked it was because my nephew wanted to go here on our last trip. However, I did in fact love the food. Would you believe my favorite dish was the salad? Im a big girl that likes fried food and i usually can only eat a salad unless it has some meat on it but i Loved this salad. It had to be the dressing because I always get ranch on my salads. Even the boys loved it. The character interaction was the best. We saw the characters several times and our waiter was the best we had all week. He even gave me some of the kid dessert because i did not care for the adult one. The only real drawback was they were running behind and we had to wait a while to be seated but it was worth it.

Crystal Palace:
What can i say about this place?

EXCELLENT

i LOVED THIS MEAL SO MUCH. I tell you the food was so good. Even though it was breakfast food i think i enjoyed the chocolate mickey waffles the most. They got me and i do not even like chocolate like that unless it is cookies and cream. I am already planning to come back here and eventually try lunch or dinner. I am not sure how different they are but i think dinner has more meats.

So that's it.
Thanks for reading along everyone.

I had a great time and so did devyn!

I love your recap! I have to agree with your mom about Teppan Edo. We do enjoy the food & environment but I find our local hibachi grills to be better. I need my fried rice! :lmao:

I really hope y'all can get back to Disney next September! That would be so fun to be there for Devyn's birthday! :goodvibes I would love to do that for Reid's birthday one year. After you get back from that trip, I definitely want to know about that trip report! :thumbsup2

:) yEAH WE had this conversation again last week when my nephew asked to eat at the little tokyo at Disney world. She needs fried rice too!
I really hope that trip works out. I t is kind of hard to plan it because i am currently looking into switching jobs and i have been at my place for 5 years so it is easier for me to request off especially with all the vacation time i have. I am really looking forward to your family trip coming up!

Still and forever playing catch up from this last month....

I love your recap. I agree... CP is a favorite of mine as well.

I am so sorry about your airport woes. I am sure that had to be SOOOO stressful. Once, we missed our DME and then the next one was late. We literally were having to run to our gate. Worse experience EVER! I am glad you made it ok though, and that everyone had a change to spread out and settle down once they were on the plane

Your pictures from BTMRR... those were taken by a pp photographer? I wonder :scratchin when we were on our recent trip, I was on the look out for pp photographers. I saw one near a rollercoaster in DL and asked what he was doing. He told me that he was taking pictures for the memories and you show... I dont' think they normally stand around the rides like that...so it makes me wonder if you were in the show that night.

Great TR! thanks so much for sharing. :goodvibes
