Okay, I admit, I booked a Universal hotel through hotels.com & it turned into a mess
. First, it stated (in bold) that you pay at check in or check out at this hotel. Second, the rate was for $254. Well, I was charged the next day & for the rate of $304. Needless to say I was pretty disgusted with the whole thing & with hotels.com's customer service. They just told me to call the hotel & talk to them. So, I called RPR & they transferred me to accounting & we canceled the reservation so I could re-book at the AAA rate. That was two days ago. I called this morning to re-book & the rates have dropped since then
with my AAA discount I am only paying $257 with tax now, that's $85 less than what I was going to pay before.
I requested tower 1, high floor, facing the theme parks. I hope that is good because it is what I have gathered from the boards. I also have to say that Universal's customer service through this whole process has been absolutely wonderful
. We plan on checking in at 7am so we are ready for early entry to Harry Potter, hopefully that is plenty of time.
