VH1 has moved on and now has on their I Love the 70's series. It is hysterical!!! I loved the 80's shows, because they were things I remembered quickly and enjoyed very much. the 70's brings back memories that were long forgotten. for example I remember watching Mutual of Omaha's wild kingdom with my grandparents. The show jogged that memory for me, and it was so nice to reminisce and enjoy.

they have already aired 1970-1973. Tonight it will be '74 and '75! Enjoy!

I am loving these shows. I was so surprised when they showed clips from the original ZOOM! They even had a couple of the cast members on....Bernadette was one of my favs.

I haven't seen I Love the 70's yet but I definitely want to.

I've been watching them every night! I can't wait to see 1976 because that was the year I was born.

It's kinda funny, DD's high school is having a historic look back at their school. Her "hippie" English teacher (his tag not mine) graduated h.s. there in 1971 so they are looking at his annuals and playing 70's music in class. This is an advanced class that uses unusual means of teaching. But I was too proud when he played a Beatles song and he noticed DD was the only one in the class singing right along...she knew all the words!

I had forgotten about the Electric Company.....and Morgan Freeman being on that show!

Geez, I am getting old!

These shows crack me up. They are brining up things I had long forgotten. The part on the crying Indian was priceless.

I haven't seen any yet, I didn't know they were airing them.:) I love the I love the 80's shows.:)

I need to watch these so my kids will know what I'm talking about when I tell them I wanted to be a Solid Gold Dancer.;)

I was at the beach yesterday and I thought of the most awful 70's book that I forced myself to read when i was in like 5th grade. It was everywhere, on t-shirts, magazines, and I think they even made a movie. I was at the beach when I thought of this book. Can you guess what it was??

I'm named after that Indian, Iron Eyes Cody (not Buffalo Bill Cody, like most people think.) It was pretty funny, though. I couldn't hear a lot of the show because DH was laughing so hard. He's a little older than me an remembers it all so well.

The I love the 80's series was great, too. I think I heard they were going to do another set of 80's shows in October. Did anyone else hear that?

Nope, Jaws was a good movie/book. The book was

Jonathon Livingston Seagull. Truly stupid to me.

Tiggeroo, I knew that book before you even said you were on the beach when you read it. :p

That book was all the craze, though, wasn't it? It was one that you read and didn't want to admit that you didn't get it! LOL!

That's the impression I got too HC. Something like "I love the 80's - strikes back". Can't wait!

OH man! I missed last night...do they replay these shows? I'll have to watch tonight:D

DD (12) and I are watching. She doesn't get a lot of it. I noticed Tuesday nights 9'72-'73) was filled with a lot of sexual content. I think I'm glad I was so young at the time. The first few years (1970-1973) haven't meant a whole lot since I was just a baby, but I did recognize a bunch of things. Doesn't Leif Garrett look great in his "Roller Rink Anthem" segment. He looks much better than in his BTM episode.

I'm loving this too! I wasn't born until 1972, but a lot of this stuff was still around later in the 70's so I remember it. The "I Love the 80's" was during my teenage years, so I really love those. Can't wait til Oct.!

I just am loving these! I did see that they will air something in October on the 80's. Can't wait for that. I am taping all of these in order, someday I will watch these with my kids so they can see what it was like for us growing up! :jester:

I'm finally getting a chance to watch it. It's awesome! :D
