I LOVE spending money!!

So income tax refund came through Friday, hubby got paid Friday (extra $200 there), AND my pell grant money came in on Wed.

Paid A LOT of bills and I'm going to wait for a few more to clear before I wipe out some hospital bills. I got myself 2 new wigs, The Goodbye Girl from Amazon, and Elton John's greatest hits. Got DS Fox & the Hound and a Baby Einstein DVD(Favorite Places) from WalMart and I got him a book called Walking Through the Jungle. It's a sing a long and he LOVES it. Won't have to keep it checked out from the library for 3 weeks anymore! DH, bless his heart put is DVD back so DS could have the 2nd one. I told him , hello, the money is there, but he said would rather have the memory or video card for his computer. I can accept that!
I FINALLY got a job at Cracker Barrel, and will receive my first paycheck on Thursday and will take the floor on my own next week. I train for the first time on the floor tomorrow. (monday) EXCITED! Working on my BS in Elementary ED and I'll be in the classroom on Wed with my practicum teacher. Just starting my degree, very nervous, but more excited.
So glad things have turned around for my family. Haven't been able to splurge in a LONG time, so this has been nice. Still cautious with spending even though the refund was QUITE substantial. Just don't want to see it go too quickly.

Ours was deposited on Friday also. We have spent it all already! We paid off a loan and some credit cards. Both dogs had to go to the vet and one needed to get fixed. Those things took the majority of the refund. We did blow a little. We bought some Disney movies that I didn't already have, and DBF and DS both got a new video game. We also bought DD a high chair since we were going to need it anyway. That is pretty much it. It wasn't a lot of fun. It was big enough that we could have gone to Disney again. But we did the responsible thing and got rid of debt instead. Now we don't have those bills to come out of paychecks!!

That's exciting. I'm glad you are able to have some fun with it. Ours will have to pay bills. Yuck. I'm hoping for a better 2010, though.

I am paying off DH's car....can't wait. Was supposed to direct deposit this Friday however; for some reason, was pushed to next week.

I love spending money too! We are going to buy a new set of luggage. Unfortunately the rest will be going to payoff some CC bills. But that is ok because in a few months we will be DEBT FREE!

Our refund is going to what it always goes to...college tuition. It's what it has gone to since 2002 (no pell grant here!) Last one through, two more years to go!

I filed last Sunday and got mine on Friday too. I am getting a new laptop. Mine bit the dust about a year and a half ago.

We haven't gotten our refund yet, but it will be going towards putting up a privacy fence in the summer, having a new driveway poured, and building a new deck!

Well, we payed off the cc bill that we acquired last year for medical expenses..

I deposited money back into our emergency savings account, went on a HUGE Target shopping spree (and got a new 40 inch tv to replace the one that broke a few weeks ago) , and now I have money for the minor emergency that came up since I found out my brake lines are completely shot and I have to get my car towed from work to my car repair guy... lol

ETA : Thank God that my car had its annual "ohhh crap moment" when we have money to use on it and not bat an eye. Usually my pos car chooses to have major breakdowns in inopportune times like 2 years ago when my alternator went out right before our huge WDW trip. ...
