Booked our flights for April- $1233 for 4 round trip Providence to MCO. I was so scared after seeing Delta, AirTran and Jet Blue's fares for April.

Let the planning begin :cool1:

Congrats! I, too, got a pretty good deal with SW today. I wouldn't even let myself fantasize about our March vacation until we booked the airfare, because the prices on Airtran and Delta were insane. If we couldn't find decent airfare, we would not have been going. Let the planning begin. Woo-hoo!

Thank you so much for posting this! I didn't know they were extending dates today. I just booked my March flights. I love Southwest! We just returned from a stay at POP and they did Airline Checkin with Southwest for the return trip home, so we didn't need to take our bags with us on ME.

We booked PVD to TPA for $1096 for 5 of us in April - nonstop flights, great times, I am psyched - no Disney this time, but still looking forward to April in FLA!!!!! Gotta love Southwest!

While I am happy you were able to get fares you liked, I am curious as to what dates you are going.

We are going the 12-17th (the week before spring break) and I don't think the fares are very good at all. I am used to $89 fares from PVD to MCO and the fares for the entire month of April were at least $99, and those were only select flights at the worst times.

Our spring break is the 13th-20th, and according to a recent DIS poll, this time period is the second most rated spring break time period. So, you may be flying during some folks' spring break.

We were able to book non-stop to Orlando from Kansas City round trip on SW for $238; within 2 hours of booking, the price rose to around $400 pp for the same flight times. I have definitely booked cheaper flights in the past, but the prices on all the other carriers for this trip have been hovering at outrageous levels, so I feel lucky.

Ditto that....I can usually get SW fro STL to MCO for $89-$99 each way....today it is showing $179-$254 each way:scared1:
