Yesterday he said that next year we should go to Disney for Christmas! Of course I am smart enough to steer clear of Christmas week, but an early or mid-December trip would be great! I have wanted to do this for so long...but I figured he would hate it.

I am already beginning to make plans!

That is so cool! I asked my husband tonight if our 2006 trip will be our last to Disney before our 2008 Alaska trip and he said he wants to go back to Florida at least one more time so March 2007 here we come!

We're there in under 100 days (whoo!) with a big group on a Land/Sea. And if I keep showing DW all the pictures of the Christmas-fied WDW, I think I can talk her into a quickie trip down the first week of December of 2006, too. She finishes her residency and gets out into her OB practice about in July, so I'm thinking by early December it might be just about time for a couple days at Disney to relax.

We've never been other than spring and summer. For those that have been, can I believe the guidebooks that early December is pretty slow?

Traditionally, yes. However, between the celebration, discounts and package deals, & tourism picking back up after 9/11, you're starting to see very few slow days at any time.

The first weekend in December is the filming of the Christmas parade that they broadcast on Christmas Day, so MK is fairly crowded; however, when we were there last year, the lines weren't bad since it seemed like the bulk of the crowd was involved in the filming rather than riding. You might see a bit of an increase on the weekend in the early part of the month due to seasonal passholders who end up blacked out right before Christmas until after New Year's, but overall, it shouldn't be bad. The weather is normally gorgeous at that time & you can't beat the decorations.

I'm so happy for you. The same thing happened to me a few months ago! My DH and I were married in June and went on a 17 day honeymoon to Greece. I kind of fiqured that would be it for us this year as far as trips go. Especially considering that DH has never traveled before and this was his first trip across seas! I've been talking for awhile about my love for Disney and a few months ago he told me we could go to DIsney for our Christmas present to each other! I was so excited. Of course I immediately booked so there would be no turning back!! We are going to WDW in Jan. and I can't wait! My DH has never been to WDW and I am so excited to be able to share this with him. He has even invited my parents and sister to join us. Is he great or what!!! I love my guy!

You are soooo lucky! We just got back from a very short trip and now I'm really wishing to go to WDW during the Holidays but I won't be able to convince my DH to go until our planned 2007/08 trip. He likes WDW but wants to do it "right" in other words no budget! SO I'll just be looking at the boards for the next 18 months while I plan........

I just queried for all the WDW television holiday specials...the first one is on tonight! Twelve months of getting into the spirit. (Did I say we are also going in March and September?)

I love my DH too. We had planned to go to WDW next October, but in August of this year, he said he couldn't wait and suggested we go October 2005. We did and had a great time.

I suggested that instead of going in 2006 for MNSSHP, we try going in early December and go to MVMCP instead, and he agreed!

The kids (ages 2 and 4 in October 2005) were not always behaving well, so the chances of our next trip aren't 100 percent. But if we don't go in 2006, then we're definitely going in 2007.

I converted DH into a WDW lover in 2001 (he had never been before) and it's been great!
