but I know everything must be so overpriced. How can they give the discounts they do?
I went in the other day and activated an old account. I bought several things and used the 15% discount plus the 15% for reactivating my account and a $10 card i got in the mail and got $20 Kohls bucks. Total $279, actual cost $124.
So I tell DH he should do the same. He goes in, reactivated his old account and they remember me. Manager says "Oh you got so much the other day" "Give him 30% discount for reactivating and what ever he scratches off". I think it was 10%.
Our total was $298. We use the Kohls bucks and discounts. Total spent $107.
Guess we'll be shopping there more often!
They also said since we had reactivated our accounts we would get 2 more 15% certificates on total orders that could be combined and 2 $5 gift cards for our email registrations.

My sister always said that one day Kohl's would pay her to shop there. She says , now they do! I love Kohl's. I always find a great deal on something. You will get emails with a % off coupon/code every month. It is always a great deal. Their return policy is great too.

I love Kohls too. :) You really do have to have their credit card to get the best deals. I'm not a fan of store credit cards normally, but I make the exception for Kohls.

I am another Kohls fan.. I just got a $160 vaccumn for less than $100 plus free shipping and $20 kohls cash true I did buy one other thing to make sure I got $20 but still. I love there clearance and I love that I can get DD tons of around home clothes for cheap esp if I buy them the year before on clearance!!!
I will tell you I used to work there and loved it then to except I spent a lot more when I worked there even with more discounts. :rotfl:

Kohls is ok, you just really have to watch prices.. they play a lot of the "sales that really aren't sales" games. For instance, I bought a few dress shirts for $12.99/each, the following week they had a 40% off sale at $17.99, reason being the 40% was off of the retail price. people see the word "sale" and react, you just have to be a savvy consumer

I've been loving khols lately. I've been getting a few $10 cert in my email and good sales. By doing that in the end khols makes out and so do some of the customers..Why? Well with them giving me lil bonuses makes me want to go and shop there. If you have self control you go in and make out if not then khols does. But I prefer to shop at khols then a store that doesnt give me anything in return.

I will go to jcpenny when i get $10 or $15 rewards or jcpenny cash.

I have a JC Penny card for $100 and really do not know how to use it because their merchandise is so limited.
The $10 certs in the mail are the reason we ever went in to Kohls. We hadn't used our cards since 2005. Self control is not a problem but I did some major Xmas shopping for next to nothing for things I was going to get at BB&B at 20% off.
Until I started reading here, I was so unaware of the savings! Thanks!

my mom always gets free $10 sent to her, and she doesnt know how or why?? is there somewhere you can sign up to get it? she doesnt have a kohls cc...

For Kohl's I treat the "sale" price as regular retail price (since everything is always on sale there, regardless of when you go or what you're buying) and the discount coupons they send me in the mail as the REAL discount. Still, I've done very well there when I get the 30% off coupons, espeically in housewares.

I love Kohl's because they just keep sending me $10 off $10 certificates in the mail.

Dh and I love Kohl's. There are many days we take notice that everything we have on is from Kohl's! :lmao: We got the credit card just for the discounts, we pay it off that day. We've found their clothes to be high quality. There times we walk over of their saving hundreds of dollars, and they give us Kohl's cash in return.

I have $20 in Kohl's cash now, a 30% off card from a mailer, and if I go in the day before Thanksgiving (which I will!) I get $15 Koh's cash for every $50 spent instead of the usual $10. I am going to make out like a bandit! :rotfl:

Just got off the phone with Kohl's customer service, what a great conversation with Central America. The rep could not understand how a store located in my zip code could have a different town name. I called them because I placed an order on 11/11 and just received email this morning that my order was modified and they had removed an item. I think that 5 days to find that you oversold an item is too long. Nice that Kohl's cares so much about the customers to send customer service calls out of the USA. I hate when companies think so little of customers that they just cancel an item without any further conversation.

Two years ago Kohl's "lost" a $300 order I placed of winter coats and Christmas gifts. The tracking number showed it was prepared for shipping, but then it was never picked up by UPS. I had one heck of a time getting them to understand the issue, because they're system "said" it was shipped and they didn't want to look into it further.

When I got the right person to understand that i wasn't a flake, they wanted to refund me the money and re-order everything online at it's current price (since the discounts had since expired) :confused3

Now I only shop there in person.

... and if you have a "Safeway" nearby...

Safeway is advertising that if you buy $100 in "certain" gift cards between 20 and 24 November, you'll get $15 off a future purchase. Kohl's gift cards qualify, it says in the small print. So if you were planning to go Kohl's-crazy on black friday, it might make sense to buy $100 in Kohl's gift cards on the 20th, spend them on a bunch of half-priced stuff at Kohl's on the 25th at BF, and you should get back $30 in kohl's cash plus $15 for Safeway (but read the fine print, because there's probably some catch that's not on the website!) If you use your Disney Chase Visa, you'd get a dollar back for Disney, too...

... such a shame Kohl's has nothing I want this year :(

And if you use your card to get an extra percentage off, you can turn right around and write a check to pay off the card for the same amount!

Just received an item from the same order. UPS delivered a broken retaped box and left it by the door. Open the box and the pizza pan set inside is dented. Try the phone number printed on the receipt in the box, rings busy. After 10 minutes of this, go look number up, number on receipt is wrong. Call customer service and only options are to 1) return item to store and reorder(today's price is much higher) 2) request item pick up and repurchase. Kohl's has forgotten what good customer service is. Took 3 phone calls to get this resolved and even then, the rep was not concerned.

Sorry to hear that. I don't usually shop online for Kohls, Target, BB&B, Macys. The stores are close by. If I ever do shop online I have my deliveries sent to my office because no one can locate our house. Not even our own Garmin which has it programmed in.:confused3

I've only had to call Kohl's customer service one time, but I got good service. However, I definitely spoke to an American, so maybe they've outsourced it to another country since then?

Last week, I ordered all of DD's Christmas presents (toys), plus a couple of gifts for my MIL, and a couple of shirts for myself. Fisher-Price, Playskool, etc toys were 40% off, plus 30% off with my coupon code, plus 15% additional off (one day pricing error where the coupon codes stacked, free shipping, plus I got Kohl's Cash on top of all of that.

I just used my Kohl's Cash (plus a 30% coupon and a free shipping coupon) and ordered DS two pair of Levi jeans for only $7.00. :cool1:

The only problem with shopping at Kohl's is that you need a calculator to figure out what you're going to end up paying.

So, thought this was resolved 2 days ago. Today receive email that a pick up ticket is being ordered, item to be returned via UPS and credit will be issued 10 - 14 business days after damaged item is received by Kohls. This comes after a supervisor advised to dispose of the item and credit was being issued. All packaging has been destroyed per the supervisor's instructions. This company is clueless on how to handle customer service and they obviously do not communicate with each other.
