I love fastpass

Not only was it wonderful to walk past all those folks waiting in standby but we used it like a reservation even when standby wasn't all that long.

For example, when we went to MGM we went over to Playhouse disney which had a short wait but no fast pass and noticed the The Voyage of the Little mermaid also had a short wait time. I was afraid that would change while we were in Playhouse so we got fastpasses for Mermaid. We finished Playhouse and had time to make a bathroom stop, have water and a snack without feeling we had to hurry to get in line. then we went over and went in...and the standby line had grown and the fastpass return by then was later than i would have wanted...

There were a few other times we got fastpasses when the wait times were not all that long so we could come back when we wanted and not discover it had become crowded. That way if the 4yo for example needed a break the older kids in the group wouldn't be anxious we'd find longer lines after break was over.

We also used fastpass so we could ride a second time without much of a wait. We got in line for the rapids ride at AK right when it opened and only waited maybe 10-15 minutes but we also got FP and rode a little while later with no wait while the standby had grown considerably.

We got a chunkle when we heard a CM asking folks for their pastfasses!

I love to get a FP for one of the big rides (like ToT) first thing in the morning. Then I can ride once in the standby line and by the time I'm done it's usually time for the FP and I can bypass the growing standby line. What I really love is when someone in my group decides they don't want to ride after all, so I take their FP and ride twice. :woohoo: Last trip, MIL and SIL decided to go back to the room and gave Dh and I their FP for RnRC. We got some dirty looks from the people in the standby line (about 90 minutes) as we skipped past, but it was nothing compared to the second time we went through the FP line, about 10 minutes later. Actually, that is the only time I felt guilty about having FP, but I got over it quick. I will never wait for an hour or more at WDW.

we had 6 in our party and only 3 wanted to ride EE. We were going to get all 6 FP for them to ride a 2nd time but then they decided they wanted to do something else...but I thought that's one benefit of having some in our group who don't go on all the rides!
