SO was getting the Popup for Amex. I put a few grand of spend across three of his cards he has 6? cards. I applied him today for the Green card and he didn’t get the popup and got automatically approved. Hopefully, he gets the bonus.

My small data point. This happened to DH. Got the pop up to go away and got Hilton Biz. Made MSR with tuition and bonus paid out. Not sure if not getting bonuses is more common on MR cards vs cobranded. Good luck to you/SO.

Did BoA tell you it would take a couple of weeks for the new card to arrive? I had DH call and pc his Merrill+ to the Cash Rewards card the first week of January and it still hasn't show up. I'm looking forward to trying online shopping to see how that ends up coding.

I was told 2-4 weeks for my card to arrive.

Do you still get the BoA deals with that card? I actually have the same Americard and it's also my oldest, I would love to change it to the cash rewards card instead. Didn't know if they'd do a pull on my credit or anything for it. I'm a BoA checking account holder too if that counts for anything.

I'm not sure about the deals. I would think so. I use the deals with my preferred rewards card. I never use the americard and have just kept it since it's my oldest. There shouldn't be a credit pull for a product change. When the csr read me the terms of the pc there was no mention of that and from the language it certainly didn't sound like there would be one. I'm counting on it since I'll be under 5/24 in a few months.

I need a glass of wine after dealing with Walmart. Over two months later, and I am still trying to get my gift card funds returned when the fraudulent iPhone purchase via my Walmart account. The real kicker was the email I just received that about gift cards and pins via email when they were the ones who requested me to send them the information via email. Oh, and were these e-GCs or snail mail. Seriously, after I purchased the order number. Now to find a wine I want to enjoy.

Bank of America takes their PCs right up to 3-4 weeks. Once you see it change online, you should get an email that new card is being shipped. When it shows changed online, you will be under the new rewards and can use it until the new card comes.

I want to thank all of those here who have talked about DVC -- I just signed a contract for a resale purchase at AKV! I have wanted to do this for 20 years (literally, and exactly) and every time I have run the numbers I have thought I wish had bought the last time I thought about it. So with the impending changes to resale, I submitted an offer on Thursday, had the contract yesterday, and just sent it back this morning!

It's a smallish contract (100 points) but my plan for the points is the runDisney weekends so it will likely be just me and one or two of my kids in a studio. December use year which I think is also good for January and February trips. AKL is probably not the very best location for the races but it's where we want to stay.

Now if Chase would only give me some of those Staples deals so I could start accumulating gift cards for the dues . . .

Did anyone else see on RMN that if you spend $30 online through staples you get $15 back?! That’s a 50% savings. I wonder if it works on gift cards? I haven’t looked into it yet. Dh just emailed it to me earlier today

You can do it in increments or all at once. I took the all at once approach but others have “recycled” the funds by depositing say $10k into the account, moving it back to their home account, redepositing the $10k, moving it back and moving it back. For me, it was just easier to do a single transfer since I had the funds available.

Congratulations! Fingers crossed on ROFR I actually pulled up resale listings over the weekend to see what prices were like. Dh has been talking about picking up a third contract sometime in the future "for when we go with grandchildren" (mind you, no grandchildren in the near future lol). I'll keep an eye on prices and maybe give him a nudge if I see something good!

I will admit to skimming this thread while at WDW for Marathon Weekend, but I do recall some chatter about TSA Pre and whether those security lanes will be closed due to the government shutdown. I obviously can't predict what will happen as the shutdown continues, but for the benefit of the frequent WDW travelers on this board, I can report that yesterday at MCO, TSA Pre was alive and well. At least for the security checkpoint to the Delta terminal, there were something like 10 TSA Pre lanes open. I was thru security in around 10 minutes. However, I did hear on the news while in Orlando that a terminal was being shut down at the Miami airport due to personnel shortages attributed to the shutdown and government employees calling in sick.

Changing gears completely, I don't think I saw anyone else post about a new feature of the MPX app called United Visa Rewards. I received an email that offered 1,000 United miles for enrolling my United card in the United Visa Rewards on the MXP app. Once enrolled, I was presented with a list of offers that I am eligible for when I use my enrolled United Visa in the MPX app. From a quick review, these offers appear to be much more similar to the Amex offers and much better than what, so far for me at least, have been very disappointing (and small) Chase offers. I just checked, and I have 24 eligible offers under United Visa Rewards.

I tried this out today with Disney Giftcards. It tracked my purchase but we will see if it posts. I’ll keep you updated but it expires today. Right?

I think you are good to go. I applied for my dh the SW plus on 11/15 and then the SW biz about 6 weeks later.
