I just bought one of them for Red Lobster for my FIL and MIL, but I don't want to wait too long and not get it in time for Christmas.

Do you have any offers on your Chase cards for Staples, Walgreens or Lowe’s? I believe they all sell B & N gift cards. I know I still have 2 B & N GCs that I got from the RMN Oct offers.

My “unlocked savings” e-mail finally came this morning (more than 24 hours later). But the promo code still doesn’t work! Frustration. I actually gave up and just ordered the stuff with the 20% off Target coupon (from the spend $50 promo before) since that’s expiring today.

It’s good until 1/15, so maybe it’ll eventually work....

Finally got my $10 credit from the Chase Lowe’s Offer and have $5 pending from Hoss’s. I had some good offers for BAM, Dunkin and a couple of others. Need to remember to do Staples and Walgreen’s.

I just wanted to post and say I went ahead and booked our Hilton room. It cost 408k points and we currently have 241k. I might end up switching to the normal king room. I did want to add that I was told awhile back on the Hilton chat that you could make a reservation and apply points to it later. Well I chatted again today to ask and they said I can't do that. I went ahead with the booking in case the points/night goes back up, but if anyone else was wondering about this apparently you can't apply points after already booking your reservation.

The 75,000 for 5K is a pretty good deal- often it’s 60,000 skymiles for 3k so if you can make the MSR and could use the skymiles it’s definitely something to consider. IF you can get this offer on a biz it would be even better since it wouldn’t add to your 5/24 but I’d definitely make sure it’s also
available on the biz since Amex has a once in a lifetime bonus and you don’t want to waste the bonus.

It’s actually 75k for only 3k spend, so it is a great deal.

I was speaking at a high school when it snowed earlier this week and the kids were going nuts. I don't think the teachers were pleased at the prospect of having to postpone exams though.

We are sitting on about 900K URs right now. No immediate plans for them and no intention to cash out. I know I will need them at some point for something or other that I don't want to pay real money for and redeem that at 1.5. TBH Amex MRs are getting more love from me right now. This Expedia Platform for UR redemption is ... well insert whatever appropriate expletive as an adjective and it still won't be strong enough for how much I hate it.

Today there was a rental van through enterprise. I could book it for $104 on Costco. Alternatively I could book it with 8k URs plus a $150 one-way fee on the UR portal. Ummmm, what!? Their fee was more than the entire rental.

I'm being a little greedy with our Hilton Tokyo stay because we could get the normal King room for 207k points total which we already have (one of those nights would be free), but I really want one of the Celebrio rooms and that will cost us 408k total instead. It's still a King room with an ocean view, but the theming in the room is so cool. BUT is it enough to spend more on? I just can't decide.... It doesn't help that Dh said it's up to me to decide either

I know you seem to have your heart set on this and it is a big trip, so if you can splurge, then go for it girlfriend.
If you want my opinion, not that you do, but I am bored today...haha. I'd never blow nearly twice as many points on an upgraded room unless it was spectacular....I am thinking overwater bungalow spectacular. That pic of the room doesn't look exciting to me at all.

We do have very diff perspectives though. So that taints our views. I am accustomed to having to cover travel for a family of 6. You just have to cover the 2 of you, so you can easily blow points and get enough for another trip, where that takes me alot longer.

We are alike in that I hate making decisions like that. In our house I make the travel decisions. I was glad DH couldn't get the days off to head down to FL ahead of our cruise b/c I couldn't decide...for the life of me...wdw or universal.

Getting really good value out of the LHRC booking at Aria from my United Explorer card. We got more than half off our buffet breakfast with unlimited alcohol this morning. About to go have a free $100 dinner too. Another another free breakfast tomorrow. Later we're seeing Ka (a Cirque show) for free because DH got a $200 giftcard from his conference (and I got a free meal with the excess balance).

Aria is much better than MGM Grand - I have hot water whenever I want!

Earlier DH said "I feel like we've been here forever" to which I quipped "That's because we have been!" This many nights in Vegas is just too much. I'm glad April (Aerosmith trip) is just 3 nights. Then I can take several years off from this place! #Excess

Exactly! Fortunately, I have not come across that for what I have needed. My gripe is no option to purchase first class airfare with UR points. It's not like there aren't seats available for purchase. They were listed on the Amex travel portal.

I can still see using URs for something like the Park Hyatt Tokyo which was an amazing redemption. 30k per night for a room that was over $1000 per night is pretty good in my opinion. I did get 1.5 value for the Dubai airport hotel which surprisingly wasn't marked up higher first, so that worked out. I am quite certain we will be visiting the Tokyo Disney parks every couple of years or so. URs to Virgin Atlantic for an ANA redemption to Japan is worth earning UR points. So, I will keep at them. That said, CSR no longer gets my dining spend. It's all Amex Rose Gold for that now. CFU doesn't get my non category bonus spend. It's all Amex BBP for that.
