I love credit cards so much!

Bat Woman or Traveling Mama?

LOL! Aggie1995...I've noticed Summer hasn't said a word back to me. I did mention MCO so thought my peeps here might know it was me :)

ETA-Although I agree with them too!

Fingers crossed for ya! I did that a couple months ago, I think I was waiting for a coupon to show up because hubby is a little picky on brands. We got down to the just the roll in both bathrooms when I asked if I should grab a couple of off-brand rolls or wait it out - but at least hubby was on board and didn't look at me totally crazy. We just made it, I think we were on the last roll in the house when I finally got to the store to use the coupon :p I have faith you can do it!

Can't lie, it's going to be close but DD was gone for the weekend and DH leaves this pm so we should make it (I hope:laughing:).

No luck with AMEX spend offer on either account BUT I got a free Beagle tracker as a gift from my Lux card so maybe there is still love? What a beagle tracker is and what the hell
I do with it I’m not sure!!!!

I don't either, tbh. I delegated it to DH to figure out and it's been sitting on his desk for months. Sigh.

@kmc8826 -- I get the simplicity for DH. Mine literally walked out the door to do a breakfast run and he forgot the only card we have 10% back on Starbucks. Sigh. I enjoy the "game" aspect whereas he does not. So no shame in Disney Visa...my DH's is Navy Federal which is cash back. Old dogs, new tricks I guesspug:

Right now I’m pretty sure I will be home with our kids. Don’t the cloth diapers get really nasty? Did you have to wash them a ton?
I did cloth for my three. I washed them every 2-3 days. No problems. It saved us so much on diapers. Yes I spent 20-35 on each but with using them multiple times it still outweighed disposable. Plus it’s better for the environment. I do clothes laundry every 3-4 weeks. I just spend a day doing it. They are really easy to use and can help meet a spend on a cc when the time is ready for you. So many choices now and styles

I don’t have a tablet since I just use my phone for everything. I don’t mind the smaller screen. I was going to order sandals but that’s a lame thing to get on Christmas. I always love getting Barnes and noble gift cards but idk I just can’t decide. Dh and I ordered luggage locks since there was a lightning deal on amazon for a 6-pack for $17.99 or something like that.

Someone tell me what to ask for lol

I struggle with my Christmas list too. I tend to like travel stuff. One gift DH got me that I use all the time is the Bungee strap to secure a bag or backpack that one doesn't want to carry to the carry on luggage. I use it all the time and DH has one too. It comes in handy for our weekend trips to WDW and our big trips.

I like to drink from a straw, including my coffee. Yeah, yeah, I"m a weirdo  I know. In my efforts to be more eco friendly and address the fact that many places don't have straws I asked for re-usable straws that I can take with me on my travels.

You're much younger than I am but for those who need reading glasses, I like these. They are perfect for traveling light.

I hate my checked luggage getting damaged or dirty. These luggage wrap onesies have kept our luggage looking new, free of damage and make it easy to identify when you are in baggage claim. Plus some of the designs are just cute and fun!

So there are a few economical items that are on my list this year and super useful to me. Perhaps they inspire you or someone else struggling with what they want this year.

:offtopic: So around 7 tonight DH decided he wanted me to come along on his work trip to Las Vegas the entire time. It's a good thing I never canceled that speculative Frontier flight I booked. So I've been running around, trying to pull stuff together and get the house "travel ready." DH says I'm nuts but I don't like to leave a messy house. And I'm sure I don't have enough clothes packed. I've never done this before - throwing stuff in a bag with no planning for so many nights (8). Plus dragging my work computer so I can telecommute AND my personal laptop because I need both a PC and a Mac (first world problems).

Now I need to cancel my United flight for Wednesday AND the car service that I had literally JUST reconfirmed 1 hour before DH said I should just come along. :sad2:

Honestly I wouldn't have switched my plans except I've been very ill the past week and I have vertigo and I'm honestly afraid to stay alone. I'm nervous about flying with that and nausea. We'll see what happens I guess.

AND I just remembered I need my Priority Pass card!

I totally get this and my family thinks I'm nuts for it too. I've been known to literally vacuum us out of the house!

THIS IS ME TOO!

@GlamMistress - have so much fun on your spontaneous trip! Also don't forget your Platinum; there's a Centurion Lounge at LAS.

I think both our offers were specific for sams club .com and on Discover at least Sams instore and online code differently. So I'm not sure it'll work.

OT - but now I'm floored that Sams Club online is categorized as "merchandise" instead of "warehouse clubs" on Discover!!! Now I'm glad that my GC order was late and I had to buy in store so I know that amount counts for the category this year. Did this happen to anyone else with the non-warehouse designation?

This is kinda hubby, when we have a spend to meet he's off to the races and wants to get it over with ASAP. Even though we discussed a couple times seeing how it goes for the first 2 months and then getting creative only if we have to, his nature overtakes that logic. He says now that just doing all natural spend on our 3k BBP MSR for the next 3 months is ok, but I think he's secretly hoping that our cars or something need work and it's finished off quick. (Please, universe, if you can hear me, this is NOT the wish we'd like you to grant. Thanks!)

The Pay Over Time doesn't change your card, it's just an option you can turn on or off for some purchases. It'll still be a charge card and nothing will change unless you decide to use that feature. You can always unenroll through chat after you get the bonus, I've read of people doing that if you're concerned about accidents.
Sams club online is coding merchandise on Discover?

I know not many of us use the Disney Visa here, but I have a question about using the Disney Visa on ShopDisney that hopefully someone can answer. I've recently used my Disney Visa on two online purchases from the website. The first was merchandise and gift cards, and the second was just merchandise. The first purchase ended up being split into two different charges, which I assume was because of the gift cards. For some reason, on both purchases, the total amount charged to my credit card was slightly less than the amount listed on my purchase confirmation. I didn't use the Disney Visa promo code for either purchase because there were better sale codes online than the 10% code. Is there some sort of automatic discount on using a Disney Visa that I don't know about?

With all this talk about Christmas wish lists (awesome suggestions @calypso726, and love the visual aids!), I'll admit I'm pretty hard to shop for. When family and friends ask what I'd like for Christmas (or birthdays), I hesitate to tell them without also telling them how they need to try to get the best deal: check camelcamelcamel and search Slickdeals for past deals to get an idea if there's ever been a better price on an item, set up for alerts for price changes, wait for a sale if possible, buy and then use discounted gift cards if they can, check for promo codes or sign up for a newsletter to get a % off coupon, check cashbackmonitor and go through a shopping portal! I hate the idea of family or friends spending more money on a gift for me than they needed to.

I'm not sure about ShopDisney, but I've had this happen with other retailers because the tax is estimated incorrectly on the original purchase and then corrected later.

I have this same problem. Our family usually makes Amazon wish lists and I'm always adding notes like "this is not the best price" or "it's less at..." because they will just see the lists and purchase directly from Amazon without doing any research on prices.

Yeah, the Aldi offer reported got me to downloiad the app this morning. No Aldi for me either on any of my 4 cards. There are definitely separate offers for each card. Mine says showing offers for card xxxx at the top. If I click on a different card, then scroll down, I can see different offers. I definitely have the most on my Sapphire Preferred. I haven't tried a GC purchase but plan to try at Starbucks.
ohhhh so it's automatically attached, you don't attach it like Amex offers? Sorry I didn't mean that I see how to add. I guess what my real question is..... If I have an offer for Lowes, on 3 different cards, can I use that offer on those 3 cards, and get the credit on each one??? that's cool if I can I did get Aldi on one card!

yeah...

I think its making a note on those PP which only allows cardholder only in and those who have to pay to get in to ask what they get.
most cards though, are cardholder + 2 guest.
so if therre's 4 of us, and we try a PP retsaurant, can we order 3 entrees and share? (If I only had one PP card)

It must be different how the restaurants do this. It is a dollar amount per person, not per entrée. I know @wendow said she only needed to show one card to cover the whole expense of all 6 of their meals because the credit for 3 people was enough. But I do recall that someone else was charged the fee for the extra person not included on the card. That does not seem right to me, but maybe the restaurant did not know how to do it properly? Or maybe it is right? I would verify first how that particular restaurant does it.

I also wonder if restaurants each kind of do their own thing too?? We did have two PP cards so we could legitimately get 6 in. And that is what we initially showed the server but when it came time to pay, the server said the cost was covered under one card.

Before the last price change it coded as travel.

I just give them the gift cards to scan or swipe. Used 4 last prescription for one of the kids since it was 22.xx. Cashier had no problem. Said I could have used more if I wanted to and it’s a great way to use the small dollar amt cards up.
I'm a little confused....this is a cvs inside a Target? and you use Target gc to pay?

My Dsis uses them exclusively, and they're pretty amazing! she has some brands she likes, they're so cute! and pretty easy to clean etc too. If I had seen these when mine were babies I would have gone for it. In her case she got lucky and friends invested in them, didn't like it and gave them all to her($100's of dollars value!)
