Congrats! I'm sure with the time change AND hour lost it was hard to get up so early. Beating a set time is such a thrill...happy for you :)

We gained an hour by falling back so I got extra sleep. But it was rough getting up at 230.

ouch, 2 teeth doesnt sound too bad, my dog got half his teeth pulled... one thing i stress with new dog owners these days is to brush their teeth whenever u can... We started to do that late and it still ended up with half his teeth going away... he was getting old though. we transitioned from dry food to wet homemade food for him after we caught him swallowing his dry food instead.

Totally agree. Dude had 2 big molars pulled several years ago because they had cracked but he had the other half pulled last year. Thankfully he has enough on one side to still eat dry food. He turned 12 today

That's right-the dogs don't recognize the time change so I'm all confused o_O

The early show time makes for an efficient run day but ugh it's painful. Guess not having to do that is the upside of not running again  Hope you're enjoying W&D and aren't hurting too much!

I didn’t buy EBCI yet. Our flight is in the afternoon both coming and going, so maybe getting to the airport early is an option. It’s my first name, probably typo from booking flights at 6 am. I can’t cancel and rebook because all the flights are way more points/$$. WGA sold out for our flight.
If you call SW to resolve, they won’t charge you any increase in fare. The SW rep said that TSA probably wouldn’t even question it when mine said “Tin” instead of “Tina” but I wasn’t chancing it.

Relaxing morning with the fam before we start our trip to WDW. And then the toilet over flows, poor person (not me I’m fairly plumbing literate) panicked and flushed it again. Flooded the bathroom, small amount of carpet outside, 2 leaks through the ceiling to the floor below now- thankfully we got the situation fairly under control within a few hours. As stressed as we are I just keep saying “at least a whole basement didn’t flood. At least a whole basement didn’t flood...” and that somehow made me feel better about it! @SouthFayetteFan your pre-departure horror story is basically the bar for how wrong can it go prior to departure!

(While some may wonder if this is the rumblings of a pre-WDW departure water curse around here rest assured today’s incident was but a personal curse as my family has been water problem cursed for at least the last 3 generations.)

Headed to WDW tomorrow. Staying at POFQ for the first time. Wasn’t able to get SDD but got FOP and everything else. MVMCP on Friday the 10th-our first ever.
Flights booked with JetBlue points, rental car to get to BWI booked with Hertz points, cash for resort using a magical deal and bank bonuses, $950 for food using discounted gift cards, APs bought with UR and MVMCP using UR.

I was able to call and add our middle names to our tickets to Aruba, since our passports have middle names. The only issue was once we did a name change, I could no longer modify the tickets online to take advantage of price drops, and there were 2 of them. When I called they said they could send me a LUV voucher for the difference but I have not received anything yet.
Hmmm...do you need the middle name? DH, DS and I have flown to Jamaica and Punta Cana many times on SW and don’t have our middle names on our boarding passes but they are on our passports and never had any problems with TSA or on our return flights.

I feel like a little kid the night before Christmas. Finishing up some packing and then loading up the car. Leaving in the early morning to the airport. I can’t wait to finally tell the kids in the morning. We have mvmcp Thursday night for the first time. This trip is definitely a lot of firsts. First for wdw, flying, mvmcp. Should be soooo much fun.

Have a safe flight. PHL is our home airport but JetBlue doesn’t have direct flights from Philly and we didn’t want a layover in Fort Lauderdale.. so EWR or BWI it was. I hope you have a blast. Where are you staying?

We love pofq! It’s our favorite

Have a fantastic trip!!

DoC got owned pretty hard earlier today, jumping to the conclusion that the Amex app was showing a new Platinum card design when it was just a default generic image: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/amer...-new-platinum-card-design-what-is-amex-up-to/

But apparently he's hearing from his sources that Amex is "up to something," "something big is coming from American Express," and "a number of big announcements are coming." He's trying to get more specific information and will know more next week.

 Thanks for sharing. I appreciate how you keep us up to date. Of course now I'm wondering if we shouldn't have grabbed those 2 cards this weekend. ;)

really hoping all these shake ups would push Chase to start adding stuff rather than taking away stuff...

I don't think it was a mistake. Usually, when Amex introduces new benefits, like on the Gold and Platinum cards, existing cardmembers get the new benefits as soon as they're introduced but are grandfathered in to the old terms and annual fee for some time after the changes.

With the window for the triple dip opening in about two weeks, I'm most worried that Amex will announce new benefits while quietly changing the airline credit from calendar year to cardmember year. What one hand giveth the other taketh away.

Thanks. It was a carefully thought out decision, which is still always questionable when standing on shifting sands. I'm doing the best I can in any case to weigh the options with the info we have at any given time.

Mine says Cythia not Cynthia so a quick glance might not catch it, but I wouldn’t chance it either

Switched from two weeks to approved for the CIU this morning!! I think I’m going to call and get it expedited when I get into work this morning. I’m at $4250 on SPG Biz. I have two different $300 bills I’ll need to pay early next week that are non-category spend, so it would be nice to earn 1.5x back on those. I don’t think it’ll take me long at all to finish up the CIU MSR, so hopefully we can apply for the CSP for DH next month.

And for those of you who aren’t keeping a spreadsheet, that’s 3 Chase business cards for me in less than 12 months with no recon.

Congrats...party: and thanks for sharing your business approvals timeline...it helps in my planning...

Just hopping back in here, the site was down over the weekend so catching up- question about a BCE MSR... We hit the 1k spend quickly(ack vet bills) and I calculate spending 1134- the credit is already on the page with $200 to be credited on statement date.... am I good? I was thinking since it now shows a MSR of 934 it's less than 1k.... or since the credit is there it's good to go? (that was fast)
