The best place to start is DoC's monthly best bonus list! https://www.doctorofcredit.com/best-bank-account-bonuses/ (Well, it's the 2nd best place to start after reading our DISchurners Bank Bonus 101 post ) Imho Chase $300 checking bonus is the best way to dip your toes in. If you have the cash to float grabbing the savings bonus from Chase is quite easy as well. Discover also has an easy savings bonus to grab. I'd keep an eye on the Cap1 $500 Money Market offer, people were able to cumulatively get the bonus by putting 50k in bits at a time (25k in, 25k out, 25k in totally 50k, etc...) but they haven't posted the latest bonus in a bit (they batch process) so I'd watch for DPs of the bonus coming through recently FIRST if you'll need to do it in bits and pieces before jumping- but $500 is the best offer seen there- I was thrilled with my $250 back in the day on that one, ouch!

Yay! Checked this morning and nope. But just checked and there it is! I also have an email from PNC offering $15 for paying 2 bills. Gotta set that up.
Now how long do we have to keep PNC account open?

Supposedly 6 mos...However, DP's on DoC say they do not enforce this. I already moved the money out of my dd's account and it's only been open for a couple of months.

All PNC VWs have fees, but they can all be waived with various amounts of min bal or DDs.

The plain VW has a 7 fee that's waived with a 500 min bal or 500 in DDs each month. You can DD the money in then move it back out to avoid the fee. I think the Performance Select one is $25 waived with 5k min bal or 5k in DDs. I switched mine to the plain one in "Preferences" so now I just have to move a little money in and out.

It seems like none of my Amex referral links are working. Ugh. I just refreshed those a few weeks ago. I seem to have more trouble with them than with any other links.

Discover is super easy. $25k seems like a lot, but cumulative deposits work (you can transfer the same $5k in and out 5 times to trigger the bonus). Bonus also posts super fast, within a few days of hitting the amount.

Just got an email that our waitlist came through!! Wanted to do our pre-cruise night at BCV before heading out on the Dream. We had booked a character breakfast that morning at Cape May so this will be easier than coming over from Copper Creek.

That's awesome - BCV is our favorite! Our first stay was one night post-cruise a couple of years ago. We all loved it so much that we bought BCV points and it was a great decision for us. Enjoy your stay!

Are you in a rush? You just missed several sitewide sales on Raise that would’ve put AirBnB GCs in the 8-9% off range, and another 1% back through Ebates. 5% off at Target with a REDcard is the bare minimum savings for any GC. You can do better.

Congrats! We love BCV and are there nearly every weekend during food and wine. Some of our favorite things to do are the lazy river in Stormalong Bay and the water slide when with the nieces and nephews. The seafood roll sandwich at Hurricane Hanna’s at the pool is always a must do. Grabbing lunch at Beaches n Cream is fun. I love their No Way Jose sundae. Salad at Beach Club marketplace is surprisingly good and makes for a nice quick meal when paired with the flat bread pizza. I like watching the turtles in the water and occasional small gator from the safety of the bridge area. Love Cape May too, have fun!

Unscientifically I'm blaming the mgmee links, it seems like they time out or something. I got the Hilton Biz link last week, checked it a few times to make sure it was working, then updated all my links in Reddit. I checked my SPG Biz while there and it was dead. So I pulled another one and updated everywhere too. Yesterday both links were dead again. This is like the 4th time I've updated the SPG Biz from the same initial link. So for giggles and kicks I think I left the Hilton the mgmee but changed the SPG to the next page (americanexpress...) and we'll see if that makes a difference. My personal cards haven't had this problem and they're the application link like the SPG, figured it was worth a shot.

Yeah it's entirely possible. The problem is there are issues with the non-mgmee links - they're basically all the same and don't link to anyone in particular.

Or at least they used to have that problem. Not sure if it's been fixed.

Holy Smokes, can't believe how much some of you pay for luggage. I guess if you travel frequently it may be worth it. My current set is from Target, that I got for 75% off. I think I paid about $15 for the roller bag and about $10 for the carry on bag. lol I knew buying it, it would not last long, but I just loved the colors, teal, green and pink. Very loud and I love it. It has actually lasted better than I expected. It has flown to Universal twice, Disney once, Ft. Meyers Beach, New Orleans and Las Vegas and gone on many road trips. Most of the time as carryon, but I have checked it a few times. I bought my DH a more expensive one recently because he travels for work frequently and he always says he wishes mine were not so girly looking or he would use it because it rolls so nicely. We still have a set that we got as a wedding gift almost 24 years ago that we still use if we need a bigger bag. One of the pieces may or may not have duct tape on it currently but it still works so I am good. lol
