I love credit cards so much!

Wondering about links over on Reddit. Went to update and Chase is telling me that several cards don't have a current promotion, including Sapphire Reserve, Freedom and Freedom Unlimited. Is this correct?

CSR and CF offers have actually concluded, I think the final nail was last week maybe? But if you had an existing link it was working up until I last checked a few days ago, you just stopped being able to generate new ones.

CFU is news to me, I thought that was still good. The website seems to shutdown faster than the app, can you generate a link from within the Chase Mobile app for the CFU?

ETA: Oh Poo :( My CF link gives "
Notice
System issue, please try again later.
"
CSR is still working though. Counting the days.

There have been issues recently with some cards. Typically the old links don’t stop working (just redirect you to a new working link). You can try to generate a link from the refer a friend site or the Chase app but if neither of those work, I don’t think we know of a workaround.

My CF link isn’t working now but my CSR still is. So strange LOL!

Thanks. I was able to pull a link for the Reserve from an older post.

Just another DP for Amex Lux...I completed spend last Weds and it posted on my Amex account Sat, Marriott this am.

Can someone talk me out of the Briggs and Riley carry on I want but don't need from ebags? I keep trying to rationalize the 20 united miles/$ (10,580) plus the United Plus Shopping bonus (1500 united miles for $350) plus 5x Chase Pay with FU (2645 UR). Plus, the bronze would match my LV purse. Need some grumpy man to tell me it's not a good idea :)

ETA @Calfan @CaliforniaGirl09 when I was skinny and worked I might have been part of the spend a lot of money on clothes club :o

I finally got CFU, but it is just for $100 for $500 spend. Used to be $150.

So it's been a few years since we have done this and just wanted other's input to see if it still works. A few years ago, DH applied for a Southwest plus and business card (each got 50K points), then we spent the extra $10K and got a companion pass. Do those bonus points still count towards the companion pass? Another question is do you see better promotions on black friday?

I’m still new to referrals but I just checked my Chase links I generated last week (CFU, CSP, and Disney Visa) and they’re all still working with the same bonus. I wasn’t able to generate one for my CF that day.

Definitely not the right person to talk you out of the purchase, lol. I was actually going to ask you to post a link to the one you are looking at! One of our Tumi carryons is on its last legs, so I might just need a replacement, and I'm loving your math here....

Yeah I just checked on mine since I had to fix the Hilton Biz link anyway and my CF isn't working either :( Guess I'll do all the rounds to see what's what. (I totally don't understand the Hilton one, Just generated it last week and when I put it up it was working, I randomly checked on rankt and it was showing 'no bonus' cuz the link was legitimately dead no a week later. )

Have been lurking here for a few weeks after I got the CSR. Started looking at it because a friend was posting on FB about all the free food he got at SFO with Priority Pass. Now I feel I'm a bit down the rabbit hole. Got the CIP too and will probably eventually get a few more (DH is willing P2). Hit the MSR for CSR and waiting for my statement to close (the bonus already show as pending). Transferred over DH's UR points from his old downgraded CP account. They've been in there for years waiting for the opportunity to redeem at better than 1:1 (and I kinda, sorta forgot about them...lol). Will be getting one-way tickets to Iceland x4 on Icelandair, with points left over. Yay!

Anyhoo - I was hoping people can share the logistics of using Priority Pass, if the restaurant or lounge is at different terminals, going through security again, etc. I want to eat my annual fee back! At SFO, my flights will be from the International Terminal, but the Priority Pass restaurants are at Terminal 3. Is that going to be a big pain?

Here are our flights if anyone has any feedback about the other airports we'll pass through. TIA!

SFO-KEF Icelandair
KEF-EDI Easyjet
ABZ-LHR-SFO British Airways

KEF doesn't have a PP lounge. The airport is small and crazy busy, probably because it is small. I didn't have a ton of connection time so I wouldn't have gone to the lounge anyway unless it had bee in just the right spot.

If you have enough time and don't mind going through security twice, terminal 3 won't be bad. @Lain will answer better, but I think there's a train you can use to get between the two.

It looks like Icelandair flies out of International Terminal A at SFO. International Terminal A has the Air France/KLM Lounge that's part of the Priority Pass network. However, my wife and I have flown out of International Terminal A several times, together and separately, and we've never been able to get into the Air France/KLM Lounge because it's either closed, full, or not accepting PP at the time to reserve space for their own passengers, and have been told to try back later.

Terminal 3 is where it's at. Priority Pass added two new restaurants recently: Yankee Pier and the SF Giants Clubhouse, both in Terminal 3. Yankee Pier has a Priority Pass sticker on their glass window, and SF Giants Clubhouse has a Priority Pass accepted sign on their host stand. Inform your host or server that you have Priority Pass. Different travel rewards cards give different types of Priority Pass access, but the CSR's Priority Pass gets you and t̶w̶o̶ one guests̶ a $28 credit each towards your check at the [SFO] PP restaurants. The $28 per person credit does not cover tip, so please tip your servers. (I didn't have time to check out the PP restaurants back in August, but I'll try to this weekend.) There are also the Amex Centurion Lounge if you have an Amex Centurion or Platinum card and the United Club Lounge if you have passes or the United Club card.

Terminals at SFO are not connected airside, so you'll have to pass through security twice. If you have TSA Precheck, that'll speed things up. From International Terminal A, after checking in, head up to take the AirTrain to Terminal 3. Go through security at Terminal 3. This is one of the busier terminals servicing United domestic flights, so the lines can get long. When you're done, head out of the secured area, back up to AirTrain and take the train back in the opposite direction to International Terminal A. Then pass through security there. The walk and trip on AirTrain takes less than 10 minutes each way, but allow for time at security.

LOL! Good thing you're not an enabler or anything  Here's the link: https://www.ebags.com/cart/preview
..it also comes in black and black (onyx) and another color.

Thanks...I think??

@Calfan...@lain just rained on my parade. Of course...there's always Tumi :)

OH! You just missed a great stacking opportunity on 9/17!

MileagePlus Shopping was offering 20 United miles per $1 at eBags.

The Tumi collection was on sale for 20% off, with free 2-day shipping (ended 9/22).

Chase was offering an extra 5 UR per $1, up to $200 in purchases at eBags, on the CSR, CSP, and CFU using Chase Pay (ended 9/30).

I bought a Tumi Alpha 2 International Carry-On, usually priced $625, for $500 plus tax. I'm still waiting for the 10k United miles from MileagePlus Shopping. I put the purchase towards my SPG Lux MSR and maxed out the Chase Pay promo on our CSRs by buying Amazon GCs stacked with Swagbucks at Best Buy instead.

I finally got CFU, but it is just for $100 for $500 spend. Used to be $150.

:( Wow, really cutting costs. First taking away the AU bonuses and now dropping the sign up bonus. Darn them for having a popular product.
FYI - you may have just confused what you get for the referral. Your link is for $150. The person referring only gets $100 and that’s been consistent for a long time (since they raised it from $50 previously).

Thank you! No TSA Precheck unfortunately. And 2 kids in tow (they'll be 7 and 10 by then). But $28 x 3 = $84 worth of free food is hard to pass up, lol.

Will we be questioned about going to the wrong terminal as our boarding passes? Is it also possible to go coming back?
