ANA has no lounge themselves at LAX. ANA is part of *A which has a lounge in the international terminal. All Airlines that are part of *A give access to *A lounge if flying F or J class.
i fly EVA air which is part of *A. so i get access to the *A lounge.

Here's where I *really* shouldn't admit that I needed a second $500 gift card to cover the purchases, and I also held my breath on this one wondering if Gyft would freak out over the second purchase. Nope! Instant gift card number to use on the spot. And I already see my 5,000 UR pending! Not nearly the boondoggle as your eBags purchase above, but with Nordstrom no longer on the MPX app and no longer on the shopping portals, it was about the best I could do...

ETA: I did have the boots shipped back to Boise so I could pay ID sales tax instead of CA sales tax (and because I had no room for boots on my carryon).

When I click thru the link DoC page for the upgrade, it takes me direct to this app page - when I look on my acct page it shows the 1k/15k offer (which I've been instructed is a bad deal so don't take it) I don't think I've ever been so confused by any card or offer like this.....

Best Buy sells Disney GCs at face value. Chase Pay [5x UR] + Swagbucks 950 (750+200) SB on a $100 purchase [9.5%] + Best Buy Rewards (1-2.5% depending on your level, and whether you have use for the Reward Certificates).

Sam's Club sells a 3-pack $150 Disney GCs for $142.98 [4.68%]. Pay with Chase Pay [5x UR] + Dosh app [varies?]

*The above assumes 1x $100 purchase per day at Best Buy to maximize the Swagbucks deal, and buying the 3-pack $150 Disney GC at Sam's because that offers the best discount.

So it's been a few years since we have done this and just wanted other's input to see if it still works. A few years ago, DH applied for a Southwest plus and business card (each got 50K points), then we spent the extra $10K and got a companion pass. Do those bonus points still count towards the companion pass? Another question is do you see better promotions on black friday?

Yes the bonus points still count toward the CP...right now the personal SW cards bonus points are 40,000 unless your flying,then you can pull up an offer for 50,000 points and have to apply in flight

5 $100 transactions at Best Buy using Chase Pay 5X UR and 5 Chase Pay purchases getting 1500 UR bonus and Swagbucks = 2500 UR (5X CF) + 1500 UR bonus + 4750 SB (950 per $100 transactions) = $87.50 off $500 = 17.5% off

$450 Disney gift cards ($143.98 for $150 at Sam's, so $431.94) using Sam's discount + CF 5X UR + 5% Dosh = $18.06 Sam's discount + 2160 CF 5X UR + $21.60 Dosh 5% = $61.26 off $450 = 13.6%

This is exactly what I've advised a few people to do since the double-dip ended. I don't think it makes any sense to sign up for the CSR now with that high AF unless you have a plan to use all of your URs immediately and need the higher redemption rate (or you spend an otherworldly amount on dining). Otherwise, just sign up for the card with the same bonus and no AF the first year, and still get all the benefits of the card.

Is this even if you use the card for lots of travel and dining purchases? I haven’t figured out the math, but I am thinking the csr af is worth it for dh since he is a business traveler.

No temptation please! I've been eyeing this for a long time but swore I wouldn't get one as long as the Travel Pro Platinum Magna 2 luggage I got holds up. So far, so good. It was my compromise between cheap luggage that breaks every year and needs to be replaced and B&R luggage.

I finally got CFU, but it is just for $100 for $500 spend. Used to be $150.
