I love credit cards so much!

What office supply stores sell Disney Gift cards? I shop a lot at Office Depot, but didn’t see any there. Anyway, someone mentioned they use their CIC to buy gift cards for the 5% cash back and I was just curious where they found them?

I am pretty sure Staples sells Disney GCs. You could combine the current RMN offer of $10 cash back on $20 purchase at Staples and the 5% back from the CIC.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on DVC add-on. I think it does but just to make sure - does DVC purchase directly with Disney count as travel on CSP? Also, anyone have experience if it's an issue to use a cc that is someone else's name? The CSP is in DH's number, and not sure if he'll be on the contract or not (I have two other small contracts and he's not on either of those, so not sure if it matters to put him on this one or not). TIA!
I have experience with both! My first DVC purchase counted as travel on my CSP, and I know you can make a payment using a card in someone else’s name.

Does anyone have experience with online RMN awards? I made an online purchase at Macy's last week as well, and I linked to the Macy's site through the RMN website after activating an offer, but nothing is pending. I'm wondering if this is just a fail or if online offers take longer to process and go pending for some reason. If this doesn't work, I'm just going to stick with the inshore offers. It was an item I wanted anyway and was on a great discount offer, so no biggie if RMN doesn't come through. But it would be nice if it did....

Online purchases through RMN have been more miss for me as well. I've only had 1 of 3 track. Since all were GC purchases, I've not been able to get credit by contacting them. If your purchase is an eligible purchase, I'd contact them and upload a receipt.

So, tried both the app and web site and, although it posts the offer to refer a friend to the Chase Disney Visa, it says the Offer isn’t available anymore. It honestly may not have been used as much since there are currently better offers available.
Is that the $200 offer on the no fee Disney visa? I just used that offer a couple weeks ago. I thought it was a good one considering it’s the same offer they’re giving for the premier card, without an annual fee.

@wisconsinmom that sounds like a fun trip. @tink1970 beat me to it but I would echo her recommendation of the Barclaycard Arrival Plus. A great card for the incidentals of travel. Plus when you cash it out you get 5% back. Similar to Capital One Venture. It also is a Mastercard and has all the advantages of travel in Europe. I would get that instead of considering cashing out UR’s. The bonus is pretty good right now.

@magickingdomprincess I bought direct and put some of it on my Reserve. Yes it coded as travel. Easy way to earn points!

@shairpdrh I am so glad you got to go to Moonlight Magic and am jealous. I am not going as the dates didn’t coincide with our trip, but in case they offer it in the future I was wondering. How was EMM at HS? We are doing that this coming trip. I have followed the thread on it off and on but keeping up on this one is practically a full time job!

@have2getaway the Office Max by me sells gift cards. They are on a huge kiosk right by check out. Disney in both you set amount up to $500 and $50 denominations. Perhaps you have missed it? I wouldn’t get your DH a CIC right now. He can use that card as an “employee” if you request a card for him. Think about getting him either the CIP if those categories work (and because it does have a good referral bonus you can use later) or even the CSR or CSP. I think the CIC is an awesome card and can’t believe it is a no fee! :)

Chase may just be glitching. I just generated a link for my no fee Disney from the app. So that offer is still available.

amex biz cards usually will not report of a new credit card to the 3 bureaus. so it doesnt add to your 5/24 count since chase wont see it.
i just suggest waiting for your CIC approve first just in case amex decided to change the rule out of the blue(lots of bad news seem to happen this way).

Got it, thanks!

I just did EMM at HS a couple of weekends ago. We left the Yacht Club around 7:10 am, arrived around 7:25 am HS went through security and ticketing by 7:30 am, they started leading everyone to TSL at 7:45 am, the line moved quick for Slinky Dog, then we hit TSM, ToT, RnRC and we were aboard the boat to Epcot by 9:15 am.

Interesting on the free bags on AA just for having the card. I am used to Alaska and United where you have to pay for the tickets with the card. So for AA, would the free bag benefit cover everyone on my reservation (i.e., my family of 4) even if I pay with my CSR? I do have an AA Citi credit card...
I think UA is the only one with that stupid requirement. I don't see anything in the AS free bag FAQs that says you have to pay with the card :) https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mileage-plan/use-miles/deals/visa-bag-free/faq-visa-bag-free

AA will give everyone free bags even if you don't pay with the AA card. Booked a trip with AA miles, paid taxes with CSR and got free bags for everyone on my reservation. The reqs are: AA frequent flyer number of the cardmember must be on the reservation 7 days prior to travel, free bag benefit only applies to people on the reservation (don't remember the max, I had me + 3 all were free) and the AA card must be open at time of travel

Yes! That’s the one. Thank you! I think I just messed up and used the wrong Disney rewards card. We have 2, which was a mistake, but didn’t want to close one out. I used the one that does have a few, but the offer is for the other one. Anyway, just realized I was using the wrong account number for the link.

Okay, so I did finally get access, but I am not sure I am doing this right? It is asking me to provide a list of friends names and their emails. How do I simply get the url for them to apply?

Is there a way to generate a referral link for the CSR? DH has tried twice and Chase said there were no links.

I made purchases 9/18 and 9/19....3 of them just posted this morning..and I was able to relink...the other..Staples never came up as pending

Waiting at the airport for our flight to Orlando...so will not be able to reuse until Friday...and I’ll try to keep up here :chat:

Ok then there's hope. My purchases were 9/20 and 9/22 and nothing has showed up yet (still pending).

I see @Albort already answered. If you have already selected your preferred airline you can’t change it. You are allowed to select once per year. I have never used the incidentals airline credit for anything other than purchasing AA gift cards. Between the AA Citi card and/or using miles, gift cards and points to fly in first, we always wind up with a free checked bag or two or three depending on the flight. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful but glad you still got the right answer.

Is there a trick to get the AA $200 GCs so AMEX will reimburse? I'm going to try this one soon and don't want to mess up.

Wow. I've had this card forever and never knew this. This will come in handy when we need to move my DD home from college. We generally don't check bags so I never realized I could do this. I don't use that card much and prefer to pay for flights with the AMEX for the 5x points, so great to know we can still get the free bags! Thanks!

Fun Discussion Question:
Which "churning high" do you find best/most exhilarating?
1) Approved for the card (you like me, you really like me!)
2) Receiving the card (yay the mail is here!)
3) Meeting the MSR (i.e. completing the last purchase to finish the MSR!)
4) Seeing the bonus points post/go pending (whew...they didn't shut me down or use the T&Cs against me, lol)
5) Redeeming the points (not the physical act of traveling, rather the on paper act of redeeming, lol)

Any thoughts??? Figured this might be a fun discussion for our group here :)
Tough call for me between #1 and #2, but I'm giving the slight edge to #2. Once approved, I check the mail every day with a newfound fervor and purpose, LOL. And when that glorious plain envelope arrives that is slightly heavy and has that nice firm credit card feel in one end, oh the joy! I feel like Ralphie in A Christmas Story when his Little Orphan Annie decoder ring finally arrives!

Is there a way to generate a referral link for the CSR? DH has tried twice and Chase said there were no links.

My DD was able to send a referral to us through the Chase app last month. I don't have the Chase app so can't check for you if the option is still there!

I apologize in advance for the newbie question, but how do you generate Chase referral links? I'm attempting to make my first reddit post on the referrals page but I can't figure it out! Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Never mind, I think I found it!

EDIT 2: I went through each of my cards, entered my information, and generated the link. When I got down to the last card I realized there is a refer a friend page that gives you links to the referral page for each available card... :rolleyes1 Better late than never I guess lol. The only card I couldn't find one for was the CF.

I give up on Chase referrals which really peeves me off. They are in offers but when I click to get to it and enter my info it says there's no offer. I went into the app and there isn't anything about offers, just a place where I can open an account. Why are they making it so hard and why can't everyone seem to generate referrals.

ETA - Nevermind. MAJOR blonde moment. I found the email I'd gotten about referrals for the CFU the other day and went through that. I finally read everything and it wants the last 4 digits of the credit card, not my social. When I see last 4 I always think social since I'm so used to that being what's asked. Oops. All good now.

For AA, yes free bags x4 people, all on the same reservation. If you book them separately from yours, they will be charged for bags.

As for RMN, I did a HD purchase online, $20 off $100 on 9/3. In my app, it said “waiting for HD to tell us you made a purchase” so I figured it was not gonna happen. Pleasantly surprised to find $20 in my RMN account this morning. Posted overnight. (20 days though)

Excellent on both counts!

I have tried 2x online and neither tracked. One was staples for GC so I didn't follow up. The other was a sams order and they fixed it via chat when I uploaded my receipt.

Ok. I’ll give it a few days and hope the reward appears as per CyndiLouWho’s post above. If not, I will contact RMN via chat. This was not a gift card purchase, so there would be no concern with uploading the receipt.

Online purchases through RMN have been more miss for me as well. I've only had 1 of 3 track. Since all were GC purchases, I've not been able to get credit by contacting them. If your purchase is an eligible purchase, I'd contact them and upload a receipt.

It was an eligible purchase, so I will go ahead and contact RMN if the purchase doesn’t track in the next couple of days.

Awesome to know about Alaska! I’m not sure why I thought I had to use the Alaska cc, but I would much prefer to use my CSR.

We flew Alaska last summer and got free bags, even though we paid with points.:)

Used RMN at Home Depot and Kohl’s today. HD tracked but Kohl’s did not. Kohl’s was a normal purchase (sweaters for my daughter), HD was a Disney gc. Really glad I looked closely at the gc. The first one I picked up had the security code already scratched to complete visibility. Took another card and it was fine. Loaded it on the gift card site and transferred funds to an older card right away just in case. Re Kohl’s, I guess since it was a non gift card purchase I’ll get in touch with them if it doesn’t go to pending within a few days.
