I have some family that won’t be able to travel either, but I’m pretty selfish and I’m not super close with those family members. LI weddings are just as expensive as Disney lol

You (hopefully) will only get married once. Do exactly what YOU and your SO want. Don't let anyone tell you what you should do but decide, together, what y'all want and then make that dream happen.

I could not get the DH CSR to my CFU to work. I am trying to unlink my cards on the chase website but I could not find the tab to "remove saved card". I had DH look also just to make sure that I was not missing it but he could not find that tab either. Sorry, we are such noobs :headache:

May just have to call and hope that chase can help....

Thanks for trying to help us!
I’ve had issues with combine points. I SMd them with point amount to move and they did it quickly

I did go to "combine points" where I was directed to a page where I can see the linked cards to transfer points. However, I could not find the "remove saved cards" tab there....

Thanks for trying to help!
It’s not a tab. On my screen, at combine points it says
Move my points from
DH Card xxxx

Move my points to
My card xxxx
Remove saved card

(In tiny letters under my card)

DH called Chase again today about his IHG Premier that he was approved for a couple weeks ago. He was told he had to have some sort of account review before his card could be activated. He said the person he talked to today acted like there was never a problem in the first place and the card is now activated like it should have been 10 days ago. He put some spend on it already and looks like we’re good to go!

I finished my Hilton Business MSR this week. Finished the MSR on DH SW Business and he now has CP. I am hoping he will travel with us for a relaxing week in Orlando in December. DH was 2/24 so He is now the proud owner of a new Hyatt card. I really like and use my Hyatt points and it is about time to order my hay for the year.

Heading to Cedar Point tomorrow - staying at a Fairfield Inn tomorrow night using the free night cert I got back after my West Virginia cancelled night debacle in June.

Marriott send me a message today: Check In now via the App to access your Elite Benefits!...

Ummm no thanks, I’ll pass. Last time I accessed my “Elite Benefits” via the app you had a computer glitch, cancelled my room, and I ended up 30 minutes down the road at the “Quality Inn”...LOL! :rotfl2:

@CyndiLouWho

Thank you for the screenshot but I could not find that “remove saved card” below my chase card. Dh and I double checked.
Which card are you going into? You need to go into your Freedom UR, combine points and then on the screen that @CyndiLouWho gave you, you should see the wording since it is the one that currently linked. Once you remove, you will probably need to wait 24 hours before you can link DH’s card to your CSR. You’ll want to get them daisy chained though. Once you connect DH’s to your CSR then connect your Freedom to DH’s card so you would then transfer Your Freedom to DH to your CSR.

Have you tried combining via the Chase app? Once logged on click on your UR total at the very bottom of the home screen. Then from the left menu bar (3 dashes in upper left corner) select combine points. Sorry Chase is being such a pain for you.

If you have another Chase Card with URs, the $500 from CIC or CIU can be transferred to those as 50,000 URs. Otherwise, they are cashback cards.
Marriott has had better offers for that card. Plus look into Amex SPG cards as well as Marriott as they have restrictions on those cards. If you get Marriott cards, you may be locked out of SPG cards (and they are now one company, meaning all rewards can be used at any Marriott or SPG property)

ETA: I see from a previous post you are interested in URs for a big trip. So CIC or CIU would be transferable to your CIP or CSP, as 50k UR. Marriott would be useful is you wanted to stay at Swan/Dolphin but that 75k points will only give you 1 night (50k points per night) and those points are Marriott points, not UR, so good at Marriott or transferable to specific airlines.

I didn't know you could transfer the cash bonus to URs. And yikes! I didn't realize that the Chase Marriot Biz would give Marriot points, not UR's. I just assumed that since it was a Chase card it would be UR's. Thanks!

You could get some SPG AMEX cards. I’d have to review the language because they have some wonky rules about bonuses now. But we are doing first night at a value and transferring to Swan next day to get DME. Two 100K offers would cover 5 Swolphin nights

I have been looking at the SPG AMEX cards. I'll want to definitely get one in the future, because I love EPCOT so staying so close would be great.

I also have extra Lifetime nights. I only have the 5 nights I got from the SPG card earlier this year in total for my SPG account, somehow I have 10 Lifetime nights though. I'm not gonna complain but no clue how they got there...

For the Platinum, still need the 50 nights. The status is just kind of a perk when given by the card, but if you want higher status still have to meet all the same requirements, either nights or insane spends. So if you want to be Platinum have to figure out another 24 nights (edit: or spend like crazy, I think it's 75k for plat?). You won't get any nights from the Lux until 2019. And then at that point you can only have 15 nights from credit cards total, no more stacking from multiple cards.
I figured they wouldn’t make it that easy to earn Plat, but had to ask. I don’t have any more stays planned for this year so will just be Gold next year.

Do the credit card free nights count towards status? Next year I’ll have 4 of those between all my cards. If they count towards status I’ll make sure to use them, even if we just stay somewhere local for a night.

the only downside ive heard is that you arent told about basic economy anymore.
I played around with the Expedia portal a bit, and found that some airlines note if it’s basic economy on the first search results page and some don’t. I think it was American (& partners) that noted it up front; Delta & it’s partners didn’t. You can tell though if you click to view flight details. However, if you select a flight on the next page it shows you the fare class and gives you the option to upgrade to main cabin from basic economy. Ideally it would disclose up front but at least it’s clear about what you are booking before you actually book it.

What would a 48 month Chase 2 player strategy look like?

Here is a mock up of what a 48 month Chase strategy could include. These aren’t listed in any particular order - just identifying what you could accomplish with 2 players. Sorry for the terrible formatting.

We’re just starting our journey but was thinking about this (obsessively) after screen shoting it. I’m interested in the Amex offers I keep hearing about. If players can handle additional MSR is there any reason not to do something like this with Chase while also getting AMEX business cards between chase cards?

Cross posted from the gift card thread regarding Best Buy Swagbucks:

So I just went to check this before making a trip to Best Buy and found this:

Special Terms
**Earn up to 1,500 Bonus SB. Spend $50 - $99.99 and earn 250 Bonus SB. Spend $100 - $499.99 and earn 750 Bonus SB. Spend $500 or more, and earn 1,500 Bonus SB. Bonus SB will only be awarded on qualifying purchases that are also eligible for the standard SB per dollar reward. Bonus SB can only be earned once per day. Bonus SB will only be awarded for an in-store purchase with your personal QR code or a purchase of items featured in the Weekly Ad (in-store or online). Offers cannot be stacked.

Soooo now buying a $50 only gets me 5% back (250 SB), and a $100 gets 7.5% back (750 SB). The $500 bonus of 1500 SB is a measly 3%. Is anyone else seeing this?

I'm not doing another transaction until I'm sure what's happening. Bummer.

Thats weird. I double checked the small print yesterday before I went in the store and didn't see that. Well, I only have 1 more to buy to get the $300 for my amex deal. I will do it for sure and then reconsider the deal on DH's card.
