I actually called Provident recently inquiring about this. The person I spoke to said if I didn't want to use appraisal at time of purchase I would have to pay for a new appraisal. So, seems to me they should definitely use your refi appraisal!

. In the Florida Panhandle, our taxes on a (est) $500,000 house are about $4100. It's the insurance (we live maybe 5, 6 blocks from the water but certainly not waterfront) that's the killer-$4200 for home (including windstorm), the standard flood plus flood overage around $1000.
