I love credit cards so much!

Amex concierge secured a Disney dining reservation that wasn’t showing availability for me when I checked. It took a bit but it was nice not having to check everyday for availability. I’m still waiting for a California Grill reservation during the fireworks. I love the Plat.

Ugh, just stopped at Best Buy to pick up a GC to finish off my MSR and realized my Hilton AMEX was not in my wallet or purse!! I haven’t used it since last Wednesday when I was at the airport, so I’m thinking maybe it’s in my backpack that I carried on the flight. I’m going to check when I get home. If it is, I’m going to run back to Best Buy tomorrow. If not, I guess I’ll pull the number off my statement and order something online.

No, I wasn't. I was actually flying Southwest. I have precheck so it wasn't bad at all. Probably took me 10 min to get over to the lounge and then afterward I breezed right through security (again).

Thanks for the DP...we have pre check as well...so we’d have to go,through security twice to use it...not sure if my husband will be on board to do this....he likes to get to the airport early but it’s to get through security...

We are just starting our CC journey. I'm currently ending my MSR on the CIP. Instead of referring my husband for the CIP we were going to start him with a CSR/CSP double dip because we'd like to get and use the TSA Pre-Check credit before our flight in November. After his double dip we'd refer me for my double dip then after all that he could go back and do the CIP. Is there anything wrong with that idea? I know CIP is usually recommended first, but I've assumed that's because of the high point return on the MSR.

Its also recommended first because it does not count towards Chases 5/24....the 2 personal cards will add to your husband card count...has he opened any other personal credit cards or been an authorized user is the last 24 months

Still working on catching up on over 50 pages.

@Lain, I'm so sorry for your loss. Keeping your family in my thoughts. :grouphug:

So I wasn't here for a few days and I come back to the CIP no longer earning 3x with Plastiq. Ugh. My mortgage payment is supposed to process tomorrow. This is why we can't have nice things.

Been super busy with last minute planning for our trip. We'll be checking in for our first stay at the Swan on Thursday 8/30 and doing DAH that night!!! I can't wait!

We used our local Amex lounge on the way out of town on Friday and again when we got home on Sunday (no groceries in the house!). Was really nice - got coffee, good soup, other noshy things. I even ran into a friend I hadn't seen in a while in the lounge on Sunday! I've used the $100 global entry credit and the $200 travel credit (SW gift cards), so my net fee is $150 at this point - I'd value our lounge visits at about $10pp (so $40 for our usage this trip), so I'm well on my way to justifying the AF for my Amex plat.

I love the Plat.

Speaking of love for the Plat, I’ve been meaning to post some pictures of the food and drink offerings at the SFO Centurion Lounge when we traveled through last week.

Like @1st*toright, we visited on the way out and when we returned. Enjoyed dinner there both times (on our return trip, we also had no groceries to prepare dinner at home), and the food was mostly the same (I’ve had that fennel crusted chicken several times now, each time very good). However, we’d value our dinners in the lounge a bit more than $10 per person, considering the exorbitant prices at airport restaurants and the high quality of food at the lounge.

Many Bothans died to bring you this information. No, just a little bit of my pride. I felt so out of place snapping these pictures like I had never been in a lounge before and may never again.

I see there is one on that side of the airport using the different tram...do you have to go through security twice to use it
You do have to go through security twice to access the lounge. And our experience with mco security has been completely terrible. Not worth it to us for some free food. But there are six of us with no tsa precheck.

This is my dh as well. Which is why he won’t budge on going through tsa at MCO twice.

haha, i got pantry access. they did try to upgrade me but didn’t have availability.

We stayed at the Sheraton Park Anaheim last week, before the merger but after the SPG Biz lost its lounge access. We still got lounge access and free breakfast for all 3 in my family, and even got a Platinum sleeve for our keycards:

Checked my guest folio upon checkout, and it said SPG Gold.

Doctor of credit just posted about Blue Business+ 20k UR offer. Requires a $5k spend.

https://www.doctorofcredit.com/amer...ss-plus-20000-point-offer-publicly-available/

This is better than the support link offer of 10k URs for $3k spend.

Reminder: For those of you in two player mode, having P2 use your referral is a better deal as your household will net 20k MR for only $3k in MSR.

@PolyRob - here’s your chance.
And it may already be dead... It now require a login and likely you need to be targeted. BOOOO!
