Oh wow thank you! Holy guacamole.

OK so to answer the How the ... and after Singapore Air redemption:

Keep in mind it is not all spend and I haven't started MSing yet. Alaska Air balance came from 2 BOA Alaska cards and redeeming 4 Marriott Night/Flight packages. To do that, we did also purchase 180k SPG points which also added to the current Marriott balance.

AA is a combination of DH picking up the Citi biz card, me picking up the Barclay Aviator biz card, AA shopping portal and AA rewards network dining and did speculatively purchase AA miles on the last 100% bonus offer. We go through AA miles like water and always make sure the redemption is worth way more than any amount we would have purchased. When it isn't, I book with AA gift cards or MR points and will get butt in seat miles for that.

United - that MPX app adds up.

Club Carlson - don't need use the points every year and take advantage of the card's 40k anniversary bonus so it seems I always have enough when I need them.

BA - we both churned the card and it's the only Chase card we have ever churned to each pick up 100K miles and already had some sitting in there from an MR bonus transfer.

Hilton - I've been working on getting enough points for overwater bungalows for several years and someone here did use my Aspire support link - thank you :flower3: It's mostly sign up bonuses over the years.

IHG is also one that plays into the overwater bungalow plans and we know how much I like options. So, I've been collecting those points for years. I did recently speculatively purchase IHG points on a 100% offer because we are getting close to the time I plan to book these bungalows.

MR points is a combo of using Amex offers, sign up bonuses when a card is at a historical high offer and I think one support link.

Chase is almost all spend on category bonuses 5x and peppered with some support from here, friends and family.

I didn't include the 44k on the Wells Fargo Propel card which is worth $440 and this is where I plan to do some MS. I don't usually pick up cash back cards and use them. I wanted to have something that would diversify the current points but also not be upset if I get shut down for my efforts.

Just a DP for those who moved their internet/cable/phone bill to CF for the $10 statement credit... my CF was charged for my internet on the 18th and my credit is on my card this morning, the 25th.

Quick question. I had used Disneygiftcard.com site to combine my $200 gift card with my $300 card and it was showing a balance of $500 on the site. When I used the GC at DL, only the $300 was showing. Do I have to use the $300 up before the $200 show up? I am confused since this was my 1st time doing it. Of course, with the free breakfast and HH at the hotel, we have spent very little in the parks.

If Disney IT didn't goof then all 500 should be on the card, just as if you bought a $500 GC. If you check the balance it'll show you all the transactions that happened with that card. It should show the initial load, the transfer in, and then whatever you you've used it on since. (assuming it was all within the last 6 months or so)

Did you save the $200 one on your account? If the transfer didn't work the first time you can try it again without having the GC if you saved it. I goofed when I was transferring the other week because I saw the 'new balance' after transfer preview amount and thought it transferred but when I went to do the next one the balance hadn't changed. Freaked for a second then realized the button must not have worked and I confused myself with that, but I backtracked did it again and checked the transaction history to be sure before moving to the next one. :)

I just got a passholder email from Disney with regard to special VIP passholder events - one in August, Sept, and October for 2 hours each after park close. We don't go until November so won't make it, but the event seems similar to the DVC events, two of which I've attended. Sort of like a free 'after hours'.

I reserved SO and I for October and booked the swan but we may not be able to make it down. It looks really cool though.

I am there the week before in Oct. I grabbed the Oct date anyway since there is a conference that week DW has been wanting to attend. I am sure she'd kill me tho to suggest a 4th trip this year and just a week after another. Tho she won't be on the trip the week before since its just DD and my Mom. She already thinks DD has gone too much.

Is this another chase thing I have missed out on from no emails? Or was it targeted? I don't remember talk about this one.

I got my $10 credit for doing a one-time payment to Verizon which I didn't expect because I thought it was for automatic bill pay.

I'm sure this wont work on gift cards, but since there's quite a few Kroger/Fred Meyer shoppers, here's 10% off your next visit: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/kroger-10-off-your-next-purchase/

It says it added to my card, we shall see if it works. I usually don't do these things because they look suspicious to me. I didn't even try for those target coupons and I saw it when it was first posted because I figured it was some kind of scam like you always see on FB posts.

Thanks. I went back on the site and didn’t see it. I’ll have to try it again when we get back to MD on Sun. We drive back to AZ today so we have no need for the funds at the moment, at least.

Email this morning: Thank you for your loyalty as a Cardmember. Beginning August 26, 2018, your Marriott Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card will become the Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Business Credit Card.

ETA the benefits changes:

Sounds like a forced upgrade with no bonus points. And it looks like the new benefits are aligning with the post 8/1 SPG Biz card.

Just got that email too and was thinking the same thing. Bummer. I was planning to keep this card long term regardless since we do stay at Marriotts a lot, but would've been nice to get a couple extra points out of it.

@WVMomof3 - just received the email that my Lowes $50 purchase qualified for the $10 using my Hyatt Visa. I got an earlier email yesterday that I had made the purchase and that they were processing.

I bought 3rd party gift cards.

ETA: I think I got it loaded, even though it shows up nowhere...KS app keeps crashing on me so maybe their site is wonky.

I went straight to my Kroger account and scrolled through all the coupons. Missed that there was a direct link in the DoC page. Mine is showing in my Kroger account now. How yours shows up as well! Now to remember not to buy bread and milk on the next shopping trip!

Looking at the benefits changes, and they seem to align with the new benefits of the post 8/1 SPG Biz. Unless you value the 35k free night award on both cards, it might not make sense to keep both.

Will need to reevaluate the 4x on all the new categories...have 2 Marriott Biz and 2 SPG Biz between DH and I. 4 free nights is nice, but need to assess how the AFs play into this.
