ive done it twice, both come with 2x.

Looks like Marriott took out the 1 night after $3k spendings on both the old marriott and marriott biz cards... :\ it looks like its worth upgrading to the new marriott card now, but they took away the upgrade points. :\

Some people got the Amex offer twice, others didn’t but that’s it. And the more I read the more I see Safeway is very ymmv. Like Bed Bath & Beyond, so definitely not advisable to jump in whole hog right off the bat.

Wut?? I just clicked through the link on the email I received yesterday from Chase about my old Marriott card, and that website still says 1 elite night for $3K spending.

I only have line 2. Bonus +913 06/28/2018 SPG AX BASE SPEND - CONSUMER nothing else on that date and nothing in my history matches that line #1 description, no mysterious extra points either as I can account for each transaction. Bummer.

Technically I did $475 on Disney and $25 in Brinkers (dinner tomorrow night ). Personally, I wouldn't have done it without first testing it because I really had no use for $500 in Safeway if I had the unfortunate luck of a manager who shut me down (I'm also traveling and there happens to be a Safeway near me for the next couple days). Thankfully I didn't so then I went all in.

Thanks for the info. I will probably test it as well. Other than the groceries we buy next week, we don't have any use for a Safeway gift card either. I also thought I could sell it if needed.

This summer will be our first time on the Magic. It's nice to hear that people still like the ship, since some people keep saying the newer ones are better. We sailed on the Wonder and loved it.

Can someone please give me the lowdown on Alaska’s CC? We don’t fly a ton, usually a few times a year. Is it worth getting? Looks like there’s a fee. How does the companion fare work? Is it one free ticket per year?

We fly Alaska 3-4 times a year as it is the only airline with direct flights to our grandkids. 8 hr drive or 1 hr flight. The companion fare might be great for long flights, you have to figure you are paying $95 + $22 (taxes) for the companion ticket. Sometimes sale prices are better than companion fare. The free luggage is worth the $95 annual fee for me. The card is churnable but that does interfere with 5/24. So it can be a good card if you are stuck with Alaska but not a great one for the cc game.

Someone's postal person took an early weekend

Informed delivery isn't 100% accurate, oddly enough. I've gotten images but not the actual mail for a day or two, so I wouldn't panic just yet. In true USPS fashion it's not considered lost for a week

Unfortunately, mine is always 2 days after I get the email.

Odd, mine has always been accurate, up until yesterday. I was out of town and did not get the mail and it said DH would get his work CC bill yesterday. Just assumed it came and he took it because I did see the rest of the mail listed. Today the same image from that bill popped up. Thought it weird that he would get a second bill. It came today along with all other mail that was posted and apparently did not come yesterday. I guess I can wait a few days for DDs CC anyway since she is traveling now and I am not even sure when I will see her again since she is living 1.5 hr away for the summer.

Just opened a PNC checking account funded with $2k on my Marriott biz. I was so nervous! This is my 4th banking account bonus that I'm going for, but the first I've done online and first funded with a cc. I was so nervous for some reason! I lowered my cash advance to $0 before I applied, but was a little confused because I thought the minimum was $100 but the rep on the phone said it could be $0. Hoping everything goes through ok! Once all of my charges post this should finish up my MSR, step 1 of my quest for a nights/flights package.

I love the Magic! It was my final of the four to sail (last year, dcl cruise #13) and it's my favorite.

Very happy to read this. It'll be our 4th cruise, 3rd ship. We don't sail often compared to most people on these boards. Have a great time on your upcoming cruise!
