I love credit cards so much!

Oh good, we have some of that laying around too.

And plenty of AG stuff laying around from DD19...

How long would you recommend for us?
for our first trip with two young teens we did 6 days...and LOVED it..... of course my kids are really into details and repeating stuff they like ....my DH was done after two days lol- we loved the 'original' details all over the place and got lost in them

I think that Blue Biz was on my radar screen too. I'm gonna need somewhere to park my MR's once I close my BGR at the end of 2018. I am not familiar with the Ameriprise. Will look into that one. Thanks :)
I'm right with you... we don't have an MSR, just finished DH's Marriott, I'm cooling down until I can double dip CSP/CSR later this year. DH is cooling down so he can get the SW & SW Biz at the end of the year.
But I will need to get a MR earning card to keep my MRs alive. Will probably get the PGR in Dec.

How long does it take for Chase cards (CF, CSP) to arrive in the mail?

I'd say at least a week, that 7-10 day language is pretty accurate for standard delivery most times. Only one we had delayed was this last one that we got yesterday. That one wasn't mailed out until the 9th day, which was a Thursday, so it arrived 13 days after approval. But otherwise everything usually gets to us in that window.

If you need one quicker you could call and ask if they'd expedite. They were nice and expedited this last card even though it was already in the mail. (and yes, we did get both yesterday  but it was worth it because UPS comes earlier than our USPS)

Ok, I need help picking my next card. What makes it hard is I currently have no travel plans so I am not sure what I need. I am not like @calypso726 planning 2 or 3 years in advance! I am lucky if I can plan 4 months in advance. Our Disney trip I booked less than 2 months in advance. I will have 2 in college in the fall so I don't even know if I should plan for trips for 2, 3, 4 or 5 people! And with 2 in college I have ZERO vacation money so whatever I can do on points is all we will do. I just got the CIP and have not put much spend on it yet, but am hoping to use Plastic to pay tuition so that will more than cover my MSR. I am looking for a card for DH. I do want him to get the new Southwest card hopefully in November so I think now is a good time to get something to spread it out for him. I will prob put DD(17) as an AU and use the card to open a PNC account with her grad money and will need to buy a MacBook for her also so that should wipe out most of a MSR just with those 2 things.

Dh is at 2/24:
Disney - 2005
Freedom - 2012
Free Unlimited - 3/2016
CSR - 10/2016
Marriott - 9/2017

I am at 4/24:
SW Plus - 2/17
SW Premier - 3/17 - cancelled
CSR - 12/17
CSP - 12/17
SPG biz - 3/18
CIP 6/18

I have the Companion Pass through the end of this year. Hoping DH will get it next year. Will def go for the new SW card but I am not sure how we will go about getting the CP, he does not want business cards in his name. He has to fill out ethical and financial stuff for work and he is worried about saying he has a side business. I am hoping I can talk him into the SW business, if not, we will actually have to spend money to get there I guess.

We currently have 275,000 Marriott points and we are at 44 nights combined with the programs for the year. Hoping to get to 50 and if so will probably be the only time we ever get status so will want to stay at Marriotts next year. Hoping DH has some business trips he can use to help with the 6 more nights, if not then we may put more on the Marriott card to get a few more. The new SPG coming out does not entice me so not sure how to get more points. I may go for the Marriott card, do you think I can get it before the 100,000 goes away?

So on to DH. I don't see any way for him to get more Marriott so the other cards that I am thinking about are the new Hyatt or a United card. I would like to go to Europe in the next few years and thinking that United would help to get us there. Hyatt I just like. We have actually stayed about 10 nights this year because it is such a great redemption with moving UR points. DD(20)is hoping to study abroad next spring and her first choice is South Africa. I tried to figure out what we would need to get her there and it looked like maybe Delta would help, but when I went on the Delta site I couldn't figure it out. :confused3 I think maybe I need multiple airlines? I have never done that so not sure how to go about it. So I am thinking Hyatt, United or possibly a Delta card unless you guys have any better ideas!

@speedyfishy sorry to keep bombarding you with Barclays questions, but after you submitted your documents for identity verification for the AAviator Business card, did you hear anything else or did your card just show up in the mail one day?

I'm in the same boat. Is it weird that I feel bad calling to cancel???

I know..Thats kind of why I kept it the first year, after all it paid for our first Disney trip flight. And got me started in this hobby/obsession. That card has sentimental value. But I am calling as soon as points show, if nothing else maybe a retention offer.

I have an amex question.... I have a personal and biz hilton card, I hit my MSR on the biz, why are my points earned showing on my personal card? it says shared across two cards, but doesn't show points at all on biz page.....is this normal?

It just showed up in the mail.
The whole process was bizzare. First it said they would reach out to me because they needed more information. They the online status checker said I was denied. Then I got the letter asking for more information and then once I sent that in the card came a week or so later.

Well, you are talking to the right (or wrong lol!) person. I'm the queen of changing mine! As soon as everyone gets used to mine, I change it :)
And on the flip side, I haven't changed mine since I joined the boards. :wave2:
It was the teaser picture from when they announced that they were working on the first Cars movie.

Just to add another data point, this happened to me too. I sent my verification docs for the Wyndham card, then called to follow up and they approved it on the call. But my understanding is you can just wait it out if you don't want to call.

Paypal question..... (finally have a minute to think again) So I set up DH's PP acct a month or so back(mine is old) and when I log in, it keeps saying to verify with email- but it NEVER sends me the email to verify! I'm frustrated, and couldn't send any $$$ last quarter, when I tried, it never went thru and I just canceled it b/c I had no time to deal with it.

Yeah, same for me. Ok, well that's good to know. I think I mailed my docs last Tuesday or Wednesday, so maybe end of this week/early next week I'll have my card. I need to apply for DH soon too.

Your next card needs to be the CIP for your DH, that's 100k UR (with your referral).

Spam folder?

stupid stupid stupid. i have no idea how I lost track of FR spending so badly last quarter....I managed to max out my 3, but Overspend by $400 on one of them:crazy2::crazy::scared: oh well at least I can use the GC I bought in the next couple of months so it's really just prepurchasing for no reason..... (sigh) on to the next quarter

Anyone else get an offer from Chase to add the CFU to Google pay and use it 3 times then will receive 1500 points? Because I did and just wondering if there's any minimal spend on each purchase. I haven't delved into the details enough as I don't even have the Google pay app yet.
no..... I can't even figure out the google pay thing but I want that offer
