Hmm what am I missing here? If I try to add another night, it wants to charge me the additional 7500 points?

ETA: I just tried rebooking and it shows 5 nights for 30,000!! Am I missing anything? I just book the five nights into Monday and leave that Sunday morning when I planned to? No issues?
Correct, just leave on Sunday without checking out.

The re-sale tickets for Hamilton are ridiculous. I choked down a singleton for myself when I saw it in New York in Feb., but until I pulled the trigger on the Chicago tix, I had been looking at NY for the fam for early June and everything is well over $500 for decent seats. (We are going to be there anyway because we are seeing both parts of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, so that would have avoided planning another trip, but I just couldn't get over that pricing hump. We might up spending more overall with the Chicago plan, but at least we'll get a long weekend in Chicago to go with the price tag of the show tix!)

Yes. The Kennedy Center shows are in Washington, D.C.
I paid face value for mine. NYC $199 in the presale. We are in the mezzanine so high up.

Your Chicago trip sounds amazing.

This is the Washington, DC at the Kennedy Center starting June 12th. NYC runs also at the Richard Rogers theater (*I only know that because I was on the website earlier!)

Editing to add: these are the face value tickets.
My brother, he lives in DC, claims he got two for face value at $120 each.

The cheapest face value tickets were $99, so he may very well have if he was quick enough when they went on sale. But, now, 2 weeks before opening night, not going to happen.

I called the KC this afternoon and I'll take my chances with the lottery.

My son texted me to ask if I'd bought tickets when they went on sale - guess he thought I was on it, lol.

I hope you get tickets...I hear it’s well worth the high ticket price. I wish I was seeing the original cast including Leslie Odom jr. and lin Manuel.

Just a reminder to everyone to sign up for any loyalty reward account promotions.
Hertz sent me an email with a new promotion which is making me do a "rental car run" this week. The offer is 1100 Hertz gold reward points for a single car rental by June 30th. 550 points for any rental and an additional 550 points if it's a Hertz local edition rental. I'm renting an economy car in my town for $35.00 all in on Friday. 1100 Hertz gold reward points is enough for a free 2 day rental.

Speaking of "runs", can't wait to try out Wyndham Bonnet Creek on points in August. I got 15,000 Wyndham points for a single stay at a local Knights Inn in my town last year during a promotion. I think I paid $50 total for the night. I didn't stay there, just checked in and immediately checked out. I got the points and booked WBC. Rates are $180 a night during my dates so good value, I think.

Why do I never get these Hertz emails? I have double checked the settings so many times. Can you share a registration link?

While I anxiously wait for my 7-10 days to be up and daydream about how to use 80K UR points, a (maybe dumb) question occurred to me. You can book cruises with UR points, right? I mean, they don't call it the Cruise and Tour department for nothing... And pricing should be similar to Expedia?

Slightly OT - Carnival or Royal Caribbean for first-time, young adult cruisers?

If you’re spending a weekend in Chicago make sure to hit at least one of Stephanie Izard’s restaurants.

Thanks so much for the recommendation! I welcome any advice on restaurants and activities (with the caveat that it will be Dec. in terms of weather).

Yes you can book cruises with URs. It seems the best thing to do if you don't have all of your URs ready at booking, is book the cruise direct through the cruise line and transfer it within 30 days to chase. Then you should be able to apply your points at the final payment date. It sounds like it may take HUCA many times before you find the right rep to help you though.

First time posting husband apply for a Southwest cc got approve but he didn’t have a reward account it says it would assign one do we have to wait to get the cc to get in the reward account Does any one know he should of done it the other way

Did he apply today? They are only offering 40k bonus points right now. Usually you want to wait, but that is ok. 40k is better than 0. If it was today, I'd have him hop on again tonight and apply for the other personal card. It is called a double dip, and you can now only hold both SW cards at the same time if you double dip them...and actually that is currently speculation. I'm not sure we have seen any actual DPs on it yet, but it is assumed to work like the CS family of cards in the same way. You could be our first DP!

I would have set up a RR account first, but it is no big deal. They will send him the info.

I have eaten at her Girl & the Goat, and Duck Duck Goat (her take on Chinese). Both were awesome. I can also recommend the Publican and North Pond (which has beautiful views even in winter). Uber and Lyft are your friends.

Has anybody here maxed their Freedom categories via Paypal with a spouse? I have 4 Freedom cards I'm planning to max out this way and I'm assuming I may want to stage them out over a few weeks to not draw attention to my account (i.e. sending $6,000 to my wife on one day, lol). Any thoughts?

Yes, you can book cruises but you have to call for them. Pricing at minimum should be as good as what you see on the cruiseline website. If you have any past guests discounts or regional specific pricing the should be able to get that as well. The rep I spoke with said they don't really do promos or other discounts themselves, just whatever the cruiseline is doing mainly.
I'm actively trying to get a cruise booked but am getting conflicting information about how to use UR points to pay. I got one rep on the phone the other week that said you can apply UR whenever your first cash payment is made, but they've been the outlier :) I can't get him back on the phone and every other rep I get on the phone (up to 4 now I think) says that UR's have to be used at the time of booking or if you transfer it from the cruiseline, at the time they take possession of it and confirm it is the only time you can use UR points. (as an aside to a previous post: I tried Melissa's extension today and got a different rep so I didn't get to ask her or my first rep, Leon, yet)
So if you have the UR you want to use when you're ready to book my saga is irrelevant :) But just thought I'd mention it in case you're in my shoes, where until I get my bonuses I have about $89 in points scattered across my cards right now which ain't making a dent in the port fees let alone the cruise fare

I can't help with the Carnival vs RC as I haven't been on either. I've heard Carnival can be hit or miss depending on the ship and the itinerary (some ships/crews are loved, some are not and can fluctuate with the itinerary) RC mostly can't go wrong, especially on the newer ships. Given a choice we'd go for RC but then again, even as young adults we enjoyed Princess so we might not be the best datapoint for ya :)

I was able to SM Chase and ask for my SW number. I don't remember how soon after I was approved that I asked though.

There’s a thread about this on today’s /r/churning DD!
