I love credit cards so much!

Only my DS and I home tonight and he hides in his bedroom all night. So my Wednesday night entertainment was reading @DisneyMandC honeymoon Trip Report. Only 3 years late for the beginning but only 1 year late for the ending! haha I read @amalone1013 a month or so ago. It is fun to read more about my friends here. I have to add that my stomach hurts from imagining all the food you ate! I can't imagine ever doing the Deluxe dining.

Gotta keep everyone on their toes! Love your new avatar by the way! Although I was getting used to the question mark.

Thanks! As much as it tickles me to have found it, I'm so not used to having it. I've been a question mark for years and years so I'm throwing myself off when I look through threads :p

But you're so colorful now, I like it!

There’s a thread about this on today’s /r/churning DD!
Yeah - and that's exactly why I posted the question here, lol. I was hoping for a real-world datapoint from a non-idiot, LOL.

The only person who shared a DP regarding a spouse, I find to be very unreliable in past dealings and comments. The other comments discuss using a friend. I'm probably going to do it either way and do it my own way on my own time, but was interested to see if anybody here had done it via spouse.

Has anybody here maxed their Freedom categories via Paypal with a spouse? I have 4 Freedom cards I'm planning to max out this way and I'm assuming I may want to stage them out over a few weeks to not draw attention to my account (i.e. sending $6,000 to my wife on one day, lol). Any thoughts?
I’ve been thinking too about how to go about this without drawing attention. We have two freedoms. I’m thinking about just sending $400-500 every 3-4 days.

ETA: I have a couple of aunts I could do this with too, and just have them send it back to me as a friend. Really anyone you trust would work, right?

Yes! Thanks for noticing, haha!

ETA: I was having FOMO over all the new avatars lately ;)

I love your new avatar! I loved your old one but this one is so cute too of you and your LO :)

I paid face value for mine. NYC $199 in the presale. We are in the mezzanine so high up.

Your Chicago trip sounds amazing.

I bought tickets for Hamilton in Chicago for my daughter this past February - got great seats on stubhub in the stalls for $220 each (and used an amex offer) - I think face value was like $575 each. These were bought in early december so about 2 months before the show.

I was monitoring prices for a while - and noticed that if you didn't want more than 2 seats together, there were often some great deals to be had about 7 - 10 days before a performance - particularly midweek shows.

By the way - both wife and daughter claim it is the best show they have ever seen.

Lol. You mean that idiot ronnie pickering?

LOL I love it!!! Unfortunately, that TR was a victim of the photobucket crash of 2017. I should really go back and fix the photos on it with Imgur or something.

And yes, we ate SO MUCH FOOD. I’m seriously not joking when I say I gained 7 pounds on that trip. It was an absurd amount of food, but we had a blast. DH and I had a charcuterie plate at our 3 year anniversary dinner just last month and were laughing because it was the first time we’d had one since we ate three different ones on our honeymoon!

My elite nights posted 1-2 days after my anniversary statement closed. Opened card on 5/18/16, the 2018 card anniversary nights posted to my Marriott account by 5/20/18.

Sorry - I meant the elite night earned from the $3k credit card spend. Those are kinda hard to track. I know when I hit that spend and check my account every other day. Still waiting . . .

Also, this has inspired me to start back up on my PTR again. I’ve been crazy busy at work the last month but will finally slow down starting tomorrow!

Thanks so much for the recommendation! I welcome any advice on restaurants and activities (with the caveat that it will be Dec. in terms of weather).

We were there last December, and I would recommend the Hilton that's right next to the theater. It's not super fancy and it's a little old/dated, but it has its own entrance to the theater so you can run upstairs to your room to use the restroom during intermission. As for restaurants, we really liked the Italian Village (right across the street from the hotel). Be sure to make reservations early - a lot of the restaurants near the theater will book up for the pre-show times.

hahahahaha I read barely any reddit....basically just the past 2 days skimmed, and I already picked up on this guy hahaha
Haha. My real issue stems a year or so back and some utter terrible bank bonus advice he gave some people on a thread. Basically I wrote him off - and some subsequent interactions have backed that up too haha.

Checking in from Atlantis. I’ll post my overall thoughts when I get home, but so far not impressed. I think I’m spoiled by Disney service. I’m sometimes overly critical and can dwell on negative things so I’m trying to be positive, but so far I would not recommend.

The room is dirty idk if it’s me being picky, but the All star rooms I stay in are cleaner.

We went to the water park and the life guards can’t be bothered. SO and I went down a tube slide and they kept sending people down right after one another. The light doesn’t go red it stays on green. Idk if it’s because I’m almost a lawyer, but we will not be going back on the tube slide. It is so dangerous if another persons tube slams into us.

We also went out to lunch and SO and I each ordered a cheeseburger. SO said he would be getting the same thing as me and his burger comes without cheese. I said oh he wanted cheese on his burger too and the waitress said no he didn’t say that.... SO is passive and said I’m sorry it’s fine and ate it as is, but come on even if he originally said a burger and not cheeseburger you take it back and fix it.

Really regret not going to World or something, but I can’t change it so I will try to focus on making positive memories.

Sorry to hear this (although I appreciate the honest report). We were in Atlantis for a day (as part of a cruise) about ten years ago, and if I recall correctly, we went to an aquarium that was pretty impressive. Not sure if that would appeal to you or not.

Thank you for your kind words. I didn't know about it either. I now take my cats to a vet that uses the PureVax vaccine. They also titer to check for antibodies to see if your pet really needs the next scheduled vaccine.

I am so sorry that your cats got sick from the vaccine. I had never heard that this could happen, or thought to research different kinds of vaccines. My husband is very much against our cats getting shots now that they are older (they have always been totally indoor cats), mostly because one of our cats truly hates to be put in her carrier -- it's a trauma for us and for her to take her to the vet, so I actually have let it slide for a few years.

That's funny you mention that. my coworker just got back from a cruise and today he was raving about how awesome the aquarium was at Atlantis. @speedyfishy, I would check that out. I really hope your vacation gets better! Everyone always teases me about going to Disney so much but then I hear things like this and I'm glad to be in my Disney vacation bubble.

@speedyfishy - I was literally looking at Atlantis dates and the Marriott site was giving me fits right before you posted about not being impressed so far. Maybe I will come up with another plan. The TripAdvisor reviews aren’t too great either.
I hope you have a better time tomorrow!

Anyone have a favorite beach destination that’s warm around thanksgiving? We’ve done Marco island several times. Extra points if southwest flies to said destination.
