How many days would DL newbies want to have? And do you know how hard it is to get a 1 bedroom DVC rental in Dec?

I think you can see and do most everything in 3 days, especially if you start at rope drop, make use of FastPasses or even MaxPass; 4 would give you more time and flexibility to slow down and enjoy everything (even multiple times).

As for DVC, there’s only the Villas at the Grand Californian. I’m not sure how availability is in December, but maybe @Calfan or @CaliforniaGirl09 can help.

I would say probably 3, but I'm far from a DL expert. We got MOST of DL done in one day when we went on a Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend two years ago. Did not do CA while we were there. I would highly recommend parkhoppers! It's waaaay easier to parkhop there than at WDW.

A agree, 3 full days is good. Definitely get parkhoppers and MaxPass!

I'll add my 2 cents even though it's the same... 3 day park hoppers and maxpass :)

How do you guys do everything in 3 days? lol I got the five day park hopper and stayed for five nights. Next, trip we are doing 6 nights and spending our arrival day in Downtown Disney.

Hahaha 5 days would definitely be too many for me! We got to DL about 30 minutes after opening and probably left around 10:00 that night, if I remember correctly I think we rode just about everything other than Haunted Mansion (closed) and Jungle Cruise.

I have probably asked this before and it has probably been answered, but as I read and learn more, it gives me other thoughts/ideas. This is my current situation. I am 4/24; two of those are Chase, 1 is Mattress Firm and 1 is JC Penney. I’m at 22% of credit card debt to credit card limit and my Chase credit card limits are 48% of mine and DH’s combined income. DH is 3/24 (and stupid, stupid, stupid I know) those are Fleet Farm (a local/regional business), Wells Fargo (for Ashley Furniture) and JC Penney. He is at 30% of credit card debt to credit card limit (because his limits are so low) and his Chase credit card limit is 16% of our combined income. Both of us are also together on a Chase vehicle lease that was opened in February. Not sure if that factors in anywhere.

So, can you provide advice on what I should do? We are really, really fond of the Southwest miles. If I tried for (and got) the SW business card, I would meet the requirements for a CP; granted, I would probably meet those requirements August/September ish and most of this year would be gone, but I’d still have all of next year to use it. I don’t know if I should try for a different card and then perhaps have DH double dip a SW card.

I’ll be honest…I want to keep this easy. Don’t judge, but I don’t want to get involved in some of the other things I know are done, i.e. Plastiq. I’m just not there (yet) and want to get some easy sign-on bonuses with maybe a single minimum spend at a time.

Hope someone can offer me some advice.

Lol maybe it’s because I like riding some rides over and over. We missed a lot on our trip I didn’t do any of bugs land, missed Luigi’s in cars land, and all the rides in paradise gardens. In DL we didn’t do Tom Sawyer’s island, the treehouse, or dumbo and didn’t go to ToonTown

It's kinda scary that I met the $1,000 MSR on DH's Ameriprise PRG card in just a few hours this morning...just normal purchases too...3 weeks of summer camp for DS10, fall soccer sign-up, cable bill, electric bill (paid one month in advance too), household stuff from Target...CRAZY! At least the MRs are going towards flights for this summer.

In other news...last week I got my first ever AMEX Platinum card (Schwab)!! Man, that thing is impressive looking and HEAVY! It came in a WOODEN box, wow. I'm really looking forward to using all the benefits. I already used the airline credit for $200 in SW giftcards and will start global entry applications soon. I fully intend on hitting up the Centurion lounge in Las Vegas in a couple months too!! I'm way over 5/24 (pretty sure I qualify for LOL/24 status), so I'm riding the Schwab 1.25x cashout train for the next year...woowoo! Thank you @SouthFayetteFan for your details about that on Reddit. I would have never known.

Bug’s Land is closing by the end of this summer. :sad1:

I know it is not the same card, but when I got my SPG biz I initially declined the employee card for DH. Several days later when I was setting up my online account it asked me again so I ordered it at that time. They both ended up coming in the mail the same day. So try online.
I was trying online. It required my 4 digit code. Will have to see later if I can do anything. I hope my own card comes in time!

Awesome! That’s a great train to be on. Cash can be fun in this game too :)

Amex doesn’t “match” offers.

Call Amex to complain and express how upset and frustrated you are that a card you don’t even have in hand yet or just go a few days ago, has been replaced with an offer of 25k more points. Ask what can be done as a “courtesy.” Escalate your call to a supervisor if you’re not getting anywhere. HUCA if they shuffle you off to their marketing department or say they’ll open a case for you.

You might get some “courtesy” points.
By any chance would you have the number? Thanks

I actually think 3 days is all my family can handle. I don't think you can do EVERYTHING in 3 days, but if you plan it right then you can do a lot.

DW just received an offer in the mail to upgrade her Amex PRG to Plat and receive 25k MR for $2k spend. (Note: she just downgraded from Plat to PRG 2 months ago)

I'm inclined to stick with PRG for now - 25k is not tempting enough - if it were 50k I'd be all in. If you don't use Uber, and you have got Global Entry, the plat seems really hard to justify esp if you have a CSR.

Do you know when end of summer is? I’ll be there at the end of August. I’d love to experience it once even though it’s kiddie stuff. I think Marvel Land will be way better.
