Did they just give you courtesy points or give you the increased offer?
You called? You got the courtesy points?
I called and they kept saying there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he also said I was only entitled to what I had signed up for and that they couldn't "switch offers." I said I knew someone who was given the extra points when they called about it. He finally gave me 10,000 courtesy points. He said they don't like to do it because people post it on blogs and then everybody calls in expecting it.

You got ‘em - you’re safe

warning: What will get you is senior year! Travel for college visits and travel for daytime events resulted in my teacher telling half her honors English class if we went to the district luncheon for CSF (think statewide good grades group) we'd be automatically flunked for missing too much class (we'd all had sports events, band events, college visits, etc. that had caused us to miss a couple weeks in total of that specific class, it must have been the class after lunch). If I'd had to take a single day of my senior year for a family vacation it would have been bad, there were just so many unexpected things that popped up especially in the 2nd semester (day before- oh, you're nominated for the rotary luncheon this month (me: ok... what is that?!), oh our school does get to participate in the district luncheon for CSF, oops on the band trip kids instead of half a day you're missing 3/4 quarters of a day of school because traffic accident...) stuff you really don't see coming but an inordinately large number of us were panicking over days missed by the time we got to graduation because of all these little things. It was obviously a bit traumatic considering I still remember it! (My parents almost maxed out days off earlier in my high school years, I even remember taking a whole week off once, but with college stuff senior year they stopped doing that and good thing they did!)
