I love credit cards so much!

Makes me want to consolidate my wife's and my UR points into just one of our accounts. I had wanted to keep our points separate so my wife could see the points from bonuses and maximizing spending accumulate in her own account. Since Amex already doesn't allow MR points transfers between spousal accounts, it seems like an easy change for Chase to implement if they're trying to put more controls on their program.

i moved them since Chase like changed the Sapphire without warning... :\

edit: also to mention, the new redesign of the chase freedom.

I'm keeping all points on the CSR I intend to keep. I feel like we're playing a bake walk with these points, one day the music will stop and all the points will stay where they are (and the loser will be the person who didn't move their points quick enough).

I kinda agree. I've been moving my points to DHs CSR and his CSP points to CSR. They just seem safer in one place together.

I also keep all points from all cards in one place...currently my CSR...but I may PC mine and plan to keep dh's CSR since he didn't get his until March 2017.

The last comment I saw on the Doc article said today they'd seen 2 people with CSR get immediate approval for CSP and 2 people same situation who went pending on CSP apps were denied in Recon. YMMV everyone! (If anyone rolls these dice do report back!) *approval doesn't guarantee you'll get the bonus*

Chase is turning into citibank... haha.

Hmm, good thinking! I feel like I totally got lucky getting approved. I wonder if he could be so lucky too. Seems like a lot of people aren't able to get that card.

If you get DH to apply for CIP, don't forget to have him apply through your referral for another 20k UR: https://www.chase.com/referabusiness/preferred

ETA: An email referral can take up to 7 days. You can generate a referral link by using the "Twitter" option, which will auto generate a message and referral link that you can copy, paste, send/tweet/post on FB/Reddit/email, etc.

I haven't been following this thread, just opened it today and now I have to go research what changes you all are talking about with Chase and moving your points around. I didn't get any communication from Chase that they were changing things.

The one Sapphire card per account holder was an internal leak. It wasnt annouced to the public, its an internal memo to chase employees.
As for the point transfer, that one was part of a survey chase asked their customers. This one is a bit more skeptical but i got 170k sitting on my 2 freedom cards. im not gonna risk it.

Big Chase Change: You can no longer get the sign up bonus on two Sapphire Cards with Chase if you've received a Sapphire bonus in the last 24 months. Existing card holders are not affected. Going forward new card holders will only be allowed to hold only 1 Sapphire of any type and may product change but not get an additional bonus. More info from Doc: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chas...pphire-card-e-g-csp-cardholders-cant-get-csr/
I'm a little confused by this.... I thought you weren't eligible for another Chse card bonus within 24 months anyway..(?) whats the change? and why are people sendng all freedom points to the other accounts?

After you double dip your travel credit PC and you might get a partial AF refund.

24 month rule was for the exact same card, now it's for the exact card and also the Sapphire Family (can't get CSP + CSR bonus now). Send Freedom points to CSP/CSR accts because they're worth 1.25x/1.5x min in redemption value and can be transferred to travel partners and can still be redeemed for cash if worst comes to worst at the same rate as Freedom points. Chase has sent surveys asking people how they'd feel about Chase stopping points transfers so that's why we move points asap.

Well, feeling really bummed that DW and I essentially missed out on at least 100k UR from two CSPs. We totally would've added our toddler as AU on our CSPs for 5k UR each, too. Resolved to have DW apply for CIP this week using my referral before anything else changes for a potential 100k UR there. The CIP has been extremely lucrative for us, since most of our largest recurring charges (e.g., rent, student loans, cell phone bills, utilities) and e-gift cards are earning 3x UR though Plastiq. If they keep coding this way, I'll earn well over 100k UR/year in just organic spending on the CIP. And if DW is approved, I can just switch over some of these charges without any interruption in how they code, pocket the signup and referral bonuses, and eventually product change one of our CIPs to CIC for the 5x categories. Fingers crossed.

ETA: Also transferred all our UR points to my CSR.

so I was all set to apply for the chase Ink preferred because I was thinking I was only at 3/24 but according to Chase I'm at 5/24, but one of them is actually my JCpenny's card when they switched over to their mastercard, anyone have any DP on whether, this is going to hold be back or not, or if there is anyway to get that changed back to when I originally opened the card many many years ago?
Did you check your credit report? Because it shouldn't have changed. Mine is still showing the initial date when I opened a Target card and it later changed to a Visa. If not, I would contact the credit bureau and dispute it since it is not a new card. All 3 bureaus were great about removing AUs for DH and my reports.

I was wondering if I could do that. You are saying keep it until the Dec statement has dropped, use the travel credit and then PC it? Has there been any chatter about if we will get our travel credit again on our anniversary date?

Last time I tried paying my mortgage with the CIP, it only coded 1x. Is it worth trying again? Which utilities code 3x for you?
