I love credit cards so much!

So I got the 10x from Chase for my Walmart purchase on one card. Just wondering if I should give it a try for my other Freedom card. After seeing that it took a bit of time as well as reading how others are having issues with it, I'm not sure if I place the order today if there will be enough time for it to be posted by the 31st. Would hate to have to sit with $250 of gift cards that I didn't get the 10x points for...
If go for it, but be willing to SM Chase to request your points if Walmart screws up the processing. You could always use your confirmation email as proof. Not 100% guaranteed but the odds of it working right in the end would be good enough for me.

Sorry I wasn't clear. The resort I am looking at is All Star Sports. I have not heard of the half board terms for Disney world.

Interesting that chase is using the term. I find it confusing and it makes researching dlp stuff a bit tricky but I've got a few more months before I book.

I will have to report back but I took advantage of the Chase Pay 10x Walmart Program on Five cards between myself and DS purchasing $250 giftcards on each eligible credit card. We will see how it works out, I purchased one set of the gift cards this past Monday, everything worked will with the 10x points when it posted, so completed the four other cards this morning. Fingers crossed, everything goes well!

I need some advice about closing recently opened cards. I opened a CSP in April and am probably going to pc it to a Freedom card, I do want to do this before the AF hits but is there any disadvantage to pc'ing it sooner? I also opened a SW Plus and Premier in late June and want to outright cancel these...is it worse for my credit score to close it sooner rather than just before the AF's hit for these next June? I am thinking about opening my next Chase card ( I am currently 3/24) and am not sure if closing a card or two right before applying for another is a disadvantage.

You'll need to keep the CSP for one year before you pc it to a Freedom. If done timely (currently within 30 days I believe), the AF will be refunded. It makes sense to keep the SW cards until you get your anniversary points next June. Just like the CSP, cancel timely and the AF will be reversed on those and you'll be able to keep the anniversary points once they hit your RR account. Regarding credit score, from a history standpoint, closing the cards will have a minimal to no affect since they haven't been opened long. The only potential issue that only you can answer would be credit utilization. By cancelling the cards, you will also be removing available credit from the denominator of the equation. This could cause your utilization to increase which may have an adverse affect on your score. Again, this is completely dependent on your particular credit situation.

I also rolled the dice on my last order this morning for my card, and I want to give my fiance's card a try so either he'll have to do it at work or I'll do it tonight. Fingers crossed! I think the confirmation email idea is a good one, I'd hope they'd honor that. Plus I'd think they could see when the card was originally ran. I use the text alerts when my purchase is over a certain amount and I got it for my order within 20 minutes.

Oops the fees are actually higher it would be about $300 more for me for the three nights. I called Disney they had no idea what the Half Board was so then I called Chase and she said it was Breakfast and Dinner at the hotel??? Pretty strange. For the price increase and me not being 100% sure it's the quick service plan I will just book a regular room.

It is the QSDP and Orbitz and Chase are both offering this on some value rooms. For our family, it adds way more than we would spend OOP so I would not pay for it.

I think it depends on what you order. Gift cards took 3 - 4 days to ship, and the payment didn't post for a day or two after that. Can you order something to pick up in the store? It's a bit more hassle (unless you are not near a Walmart, then it could be a lot more hassle) but then you don't have to worry about delayed shipping.

Do you remember where you saw something regarding a potential bonus increase for the CSP?

i think the chances are very slim. CSR has been a hit but it came at a loss with so many subscribers since most people who spend $450 on AF, chances are wont keep a balance. Chase has been cutting back internally, i dont think raising the bonus point is likely...

I would do it, but that's just me rolling the dice on it.

Why is everyone freaking out about the Walmart Chase Pay offer? Counting today, there's still a full week left in the promotion. The terms state that the purchases have to be made by 8/31/17. I get that Walmart charges can take a few days to post, but the statement details show "transaction date" and "posted date," and Chase counts the transaction date when awarding bonus points. This is the same way how Chase Freedom quarterly bonus categories work. I might not want to wait until the very last day to be safe. But if you make a purchase in the bonus category before the last day of the promotion, you'll earn the bonus points on that purchase regardless of when the charge posts.

By comparison, Amex Offers terms often include the fine print that a transaction has to post before the expiration date so always redeem those 3-5 days before the offer expires. Even when these transactions haven't posted in time, I've been able to get Amex to honor the offer and award me the statement credit or points.

For me personally, I just don't want to forget. We've had a lot going on lately and I've missed a few freebies, xt points, offers, etc that I had planned on doing. I know it's not the end of the world, but I might as well get 10x UR instead of 1x UR on planned spending.

The reason I would try to get the Walmart deal completed sooner rather than later is that Walmart.com has been known to cancel orders after leaving an order "pending" for several days. If the order you place on August 31 is cancelled, I don't think there's anything you will be able to get Chase to do.

Ironically, my charges have posted with Chase and the points are pending...but I'm freaking out because I was supposed to receive my 3 (ordered DH's 2 days later) and was supposed to receive my cards yesterday. Mail lady just left and still no cards. I'd honestly rather have the $1000 worth of cards (using at Sam's for disney gc) than 10000 Chase UR. So that's why I'm stressed out

Try contacting Walmart via online chat to see if they can get you a tracking number so you at least know where they are.

Thanks @gottalovepluto :) The FEDEX guy put it in a weird place and my yard man found them...shm... so freak out over, now just waiting for DH's to come. Guess it'll be like an Easter egg hunt tomorrow or Monday:confused3

On the bright side, have a $500 DGC coming from Sam's, will order the next one after DH's gc comes in the mail. Then I'll run to Best Buy to use my $30 off of $300 and our spontaneous November WDW will be almost paid off with a savings of around 8-9% when all is said and done. I know that isn't the best percentages for some but for me, I'll take it.

Have I thanked all of you lately for this awesome thread?

Mine were supposed to deliver 8/19 but got here 8/22 and I couldn't access the shipping info the whole time.

ETA I see you found them
