I love credit cards so much!

Another UR question :)

When I go to my "rewards dashboard", under "your activity" on the right side, it shows the $300 travel credit (from CSR). Mine says $0 received but I did book a hotel and receive that $300 credit back in October. So, does this mean I am now into the next calendar year and I can go ahead and spend another $300 and receive the credit for 2017?
I believe so. If you have had your December statement close, you should now be using your 2017 travel credit.

I am so mad... I didn't realize that it went by Statement closing dates for the $300 travel credit. I had used $120 so still had $180 to use. Bought an airline ticket for my husband and was credited the full amount. After reading here I called Chase and sure enough I missed the cutoff by 4 days so now we just lost $180 in travel credits.... I thought it just had to post in December to be used in 2016.

I'm sorry to hear you lost out on $180, @LynnTH.

When I read that travel expenses had to post by the close of December statement to qualify for the CSR travel credit, and with my family vacation not until later this month (and after the last statement of this year closed), I quickly set up a DVA and made a one-time deposit of $300. This credited as travel within 3 days!

Oh no, I would be upset too. I thought the same as you before looking at my 'dashboard' today and seeing my travel credit had 'reset'.

Same thing happened to me, isn't that aggravating? My statement closing date was 12/3. A charge on 12/1 for $121 and another on 12/2 for $57 didn't post until 12/4. Lost out on $178 for 2016. Now all $300 travel credit for 2017 has been applied and 2017 hasn't even begun!

Yes. Mine says the same thing. Your December statement reset the travel credit for 2017.

Was gonna apply for a CSR this month, but knowing of that issue of it being too close to 2017, im probably gonna apply in Jan/Feb... :D

My dh had applied in Oct but due to being an AU of two of my cards (which put him at 5/24), he was denied. One of those cards should fall off the 5/24 this month. But I was thinking the same, that waiting until Feb might make more sense. I want to make sure I can get the travel credit for two calendar years.

So wait? We're into 2017 travel now? If my husband's card had a hotel room and it posted in Nov, and the statement close will be next week, that's 2016, right? The credit posted, just checking to see if it's the 2016 credit!

If the charge posts to the statement which closes in December 2016, then it uses your 2016 travel credit. So you are good.

That's my plan too. Just hope the 100K sign up sticks around.

Just got my first $50 from a referral for the Freedom Unlimited! I posted the link on Facebook a few weeks ago figuring no one would click it, but why not at least put it out there?
Apparently someone did click it!
That's the easiest $50 I've ever made. I feel guilty!

Chase Freedom 2017:
Q1: Gas stations and local commuter transportation
Q2: Grocery Stores (not including Walmart and Target) and Drug Stores
Q3: Summer fun and more
Q4: Holiday and more

Q3, Q4 seems very general.... haha

Yeah, they need to be a BIT more specific with Q3 and Q4! LOL! Hopefully "and more" = wholesale clubs!

My points posted. My husband hit the spend on his card, both 2016 travel credits....

Now onto 2017 with 200k+ points and $600 in travel credits to use up :) And time to start planning when to do the Hawaii trip these points are for!

I'm toying with using my points for 7 nights at Universal (Royal Pacific) and tickets on Jet Blue for August. We've never done Universal.
