I love credit cards so much!

any reason why it wouldn't work with a travel agent? I'm hanging onto something like this as my backup plan if my car rental timing doesn't work out TC-wise in a couple of weeks:thumbsup2 I figured a down payment on a future cruise would do it if needed

It might depend on the TA. I booked BC through the 'labor day specials agency' and my rooms coded as travel on my CSR.

The IHG card is one of our new keeper cards. So, this is the first time we will get to use the free nights. I almost booked the Intercontinental in NYC. I told DH we could go do the touristy things like see the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center etc. But I think he knew as well as I knew that I'd be tempted into buying tickets to at least 2 shows with one of them being Hamilton regardless of the Stub Hub Hub prices. Of course, I'd want to indulge our foodie side and eat at some Michelin star restaurant too. All of that would defeat the purpose of a free or near free get away. So DH picked cherry blossoms in DC and effectively removed the temptation of NYC. Maybe next time  Thanks for putting the Palazzo on the radar. We try go to Las Vegas every few yew years for a long weekend so I'm glad to know Palazzo would be a good choice.

Hamilton will be in DC at Kennedy Center starting in June. Maybe the Cherry Blossoms will be very very late blooming this year...........

Target is shocked that people bought more than one??? We've been playing this game for several years.

targets been getting stricter and stricter... from when i started, reloading a redbird card with a credit card, then closing the loophole with buying a gift card with a gift card, then the 5% redbird discount couldnt be stacked anymore and now this...

not surprised at all though, business is business... used to be an avid target shopper but man, chase throwing in the 5% for Walmart, ive put all my spendings into walmart currently haha.

I've tried but Walmart continues to suck. Online orders with wrong items, long delays, other errors. Instore rude clerks & customers, can't find things, employees don't even know where items in the flyer are. Of course Target is not perfect either, but I'll shop there in a heartbeat over Walmart. Only using Walmart to abuse GC purchases of Disney GC

ETA. Spent another 20 minutes waiting in line to pick up my "ship to store" online order. Also bummed to find out 2 of my 3 online orders with Chase Pay didn't actually earn 10x.

Really, how can my restaurant charge from 11/30 not have posted yet?? I need it to post today so I can get the extra 20k Marriott points :( Shame on me for cutting it close, I guess.

Am I the only one that did not purchase Target gift cards yesterday? I've done it 2 years in a row, but kinda feel like cash is king right now. I'd rather have cash than gift cards any day. Anyone else besides me out there?

Try sending Chase a PM. They might credit you if it doesn't come through in time.

We're going down to WDW next Thursday (!) and then again mid January... so I got $1500 yesterday. It'll be for food and souvenirs. Since I'm pretty confident in them getting used soon I went for it. If my trip was farther away, I probably would have just got $600 - I still would have done it for 14.5% off, and if something happened with my trip I could have used it for groceries for the next two months. If I know it'll get used soon I'll pay a little ahead for the discount/extra cc points, but $600 would probably be about my limit.

met my first SPG 25k bonus... i didnt realize how much money i was spending on it, i should be done with part 2 in 1-2 months!

i think marriott would be next.
I am in the exact same boat on the card I got for my wife. We knocked out the first $6k way quicker than I thought, but with Christmas coming as well as paying off our trip in January I probably could've calculated it a little better. I was hoping the $10k spend would slow us down a little as wife goes under 5/24 in April...it's gonna be a long 4 months hahaha!

Since I regularly shop at Target, I got some. But I can't afford to tie up huge $, so I got $250. Plus with Target possibly cracking down on "abuse" I didn't even consider multiple purchases.

I'd give it a couple days just to make sure and then SM Chase, that's messed up if they shorted you points & didn't give you the full 3,250 for $325 in purchases. (Also, double check to make sure you didn't purchase something at Walmart that you forgot about over the last month that was a part of your $325.)

I didn’t. We don’t have a trip planned til 2019 to wdw (just back from cruise/land stay in oct. I may try to do a short weekend trip at some point but not sure. Didn’t feel like partaking in this deal.

Good friend has a large business expense coming up (I think it’s three nights in a hotel/six rooms but she has plenty of other business expenses). She’s going with her family of five to Paris for a few days next year on their way to Africa. Any good sign on bonuses that would help get them a nice hotel in Paris that can accommodate five? Probably a business cards.
