Went to pc my CSP to a no fee Sapphire and apparently they don't exist anymore. Now I'm assuming I have to wait until my 1 year anniversary of opening the CSP to pc it to the Freedom. How is the AF reimbursed in this case?

The AF is reimbursed quickly after you make the change. It is no problem. I had to do it earlier this year. I tried to do it a week before the AF hit, but they would not let me. I just waited till the AF posted and sent a new SM. It was taken care of that day and I think the AF was reimbursed that day or the next. No problem. Just don't wait till it is close to your close date on statement and I would think you will be OK.

My husband has a Delta Gold AMEX card and I am an authorized user.
I am going to apply for my own card.
Should he drop me as the authorized user before I apply for my own account?

I tried once more to get Chase to match the Marriott 100k offer... they asked for an invitation number. Nope, don't have that... Guess I'll hold out hope it comes back publicly, but that seems unlikely after the targeted email offer. I miscalculated how long I had for min spend, for some reason I was thinking it was 11/5 but I was off a month and it's 12/5, d'oh.

In other news, DH picked out some tires... from Costco... which doesn't take AMEX... when I was planning on using tires as part of the SPG biz minimum spend. :sad2: Seems like they might have them somewhere else where they TAKE Amex for about $100 more.

I did a $25 Amazon egift card and got 1063 points.

Thanks! Going to try mine tonight when I get home- not allowed to install Chrome extensions on my work computer.

Anyone know when next year's Chase Freedom categories get released? Was hoping it would be soon since Discover's came out.

Not yet. I doubt we'll know for another month. They set the bar so low this year that my hopes aren't very high. Really wanted 1 quarter or warehouse clubs.

Ok, it sucks that MORE is only available for the desktop. I typically shop from my iPad. Hardly, ever do I use my laptop. I hope the mobile app arrives soon.

There is an iOS app. I downloaded it and that's what I used.

Also, my husband got a Chase Freedom Unlimited to replace the Slate that he has had since 1999. He refuses to pay annual fees on credit cards. I think he'll probably be ready to get a CIC next spring. So, we are making progress.
It's a step in the right direction for sure! But, I think you'll get him there! It takes time for someone opposed to new credit cards or annual fees to come around to this game, getting my father to get the CSR under the 100,000 point offer was like pulling teeth, he just slipped in under the 100K deadline. "Why do I want a Chase card? If we have to have a premium travel card what about Amex? They're the best you know." OMG- he didn't even have any premium Amex cards, well he had one business rewards card and was redeeming amex points at like $0.75... He mostly came around after he got free flights for the fam to Hawaii earlier this summer, that finally did it. Guess he had to experience it. (Hilarious part? Mom says he'd talk to people about finances and all of the sudden start gushing about how great the CSR was, how awesome the sign-up bonus was, how Chase is kicking Amex's rear, etc... :rotfl2:) Your DH will make it!

Thanks so much. I'm still confused about timing. Say my AF hits Feb 1st. I have to wait until then to sm Chase to pc to the Freedom...once that is done I can sm them again and request a reimbursement of the AF. This has to all be completed within that one month billing cycle. Is that right?

The refund of AF should be automatic. I pcd my CSP to Freedom partway thru the year, refunded $8.

No he doesn't need to and you actually might want to keep it open (just plan on not using it) for the potential of available AMEX offers on your AU account. If he has one and you are getting your own make sure you have him refer you. That way he gets the referral bonus.
