I love credit cards so much!

I am trying to transfer the CIP rewards to my CSR account. When I try to add my personal accounts to my business account page I am getting a message to call customer service. Am I going to need to link these accounts to do this and is there a reason I might not want to link them? I remember reading someone needing to unlink for chase pay but that may no longer be an issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I spoke too soon. Now that I have CIP points, I tried transferring them to my CSR but
So has anyone else had issues transferring points recently? Logged into my CIP account this morning to transfer my 89000 points to my CSR pooling account to book our next Disney trip. Tried doing the transfer 3 times, but I keep getting the message "an unexpected error has occurred." That's it, nothing else. Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem. Do you guys know if an SM to Chase can transfer my points for me?
I had the same problem yesterday and did SM Chase to move them for me. They said to contact the online technical specialists at 877-242-7372. I haven't called yet to see if they can resolve since there are no points to transfer at the moment.

The SW cards earn you 10,000 points referral bonuses for each new cardholder who apply through your link: https://creditcards.chase.com/credit-cards/refer-a-friend. However, I believe the current 60,000 points signup bonuses on the SW Plus and Premier cards are better than what a new cardholder would get by applying through a referral link.

When I sent the refer a friend to my mother and friend they got the 40,000 point application. They then sent Secure Message to Chase and both got the 60,000 point with the $2,000 spend and got it. I got 10,000 points for each of the referrals.

That's great news, thanks for posting. Do you happen to know how long it took for them to get the application offer and if it had an expiration date? My DD is going to try to apply on 10/1 to take advantage of the 60k offer but finish the spend after the 1st of the year. I might be asking too much here lol, 60k instead of 40k, ability to finish the spend after the 1st of the year so the CP is good 2018 and 2019, and 20k referral bonus for me but worth a try.

It's kind of a known issue that seems to happen to a lot of people. Happened to me. I tried to transfer my CIP points to my CSR, but got the same error. I keep my personal and business accounts separate. I had no problem transferring my CIP points to my wife's CSR, then transferring from my wife's CSR to my CSR. You should be able to SM Chase to help you move the points, too.

Thanks again Lain! This workaround worked for me. I transferred to DH's CSR, then right to my CSR. Strange how it goes right through on some transactions and errors on others.

I want to say it took a little while for the offer to go through the email but I would expect that if you emailed soon she could just get the offer and then apply around 10/1. i wouldn't expect the email offer to expire before then. Unfortunately I didn't realize I could have sent referrals for both the Premier and Plus. I could have maybe gotten another 20,000 points. Still learning.
This thread has been an amazing source of learning for me. Thanks everyone for sharing!!!
I just applied for the Chase Hyatt card with plans to use points toward an Aruba trip in February. Planning for mother and husband to also get this card and transfer points. I'm seeing only one transfer from friend/family per 30 days.

Ooh, I didn't know about this work around. Will have to try this once I have some points to move. Thanks for sharing @Lain.

If you're planning on doing a referral and SMing Chase to match the 60k offer by 10/1, you might not want to wait till the last day (10/1) to do it.

I'd typically suggest waiting until 10/1 to apply to give as much time to hit the minimum spend in 2018 and have the 60k points post in 2018, giving you the CP through 2019. (DPs report you have anywhere from 90 to 115 days from approval to meet spend.) Since if you apply under the 60k offer, it's attached to your application; and as long as you apply by the deadline, you qualify for the 60k offer even if you're not approved until after the offer expires.

But if you (or your DD) are applying through a referral link that has a 40k offer attached, you'll need to get the card(s) approved while the 60k offer is still going (on or before 10/1) so you can SM Chase to match the current (60k) offer. Fingers crossed you (or your DD) get auto-approved, but you may have to be prepared to talk to Chase recon (e.g., move around credit, or verify identity), and 10/1 is a Sunday so the recon dept. may be closed.

I have a question about my husband's CSR. We applied and got the card in May. May 26th got our first $300 travel credit. Statement closed on June 2nd including the travel credit and annual fee. When should I be thinking of putting a charge for the second travel credit to post and when should we be thinking of requesting a product change? I haven't quite gotten my brain wrapped around the timing of the credit/and annual fee. Also what card would be the best option to product change to? My CSR will be a definite keeper for me.

We haven't been able to figure out how to do this. DH is having trouble setting things up for this promotion. Any tips?

To disconnect your Twitter account, log into your Twitter account and from the main drop down menu, go to "Privacy and settings." Along the left hand side of the screen there will be lots of options. Scroll down and click on "Apps." One of the apps will be called, "Social Media Rewards by Chirpify." Click the revoke access button. This disconnects your Marriott rewards and Twitter accounts. You can now add back the same account or a different account in the same exact way that I described in my previous tutorial post.

@wendow are you all back home from WDW safely? Hope your trip went well!

I was just going to ask about @wendow and her family. Hope they're all home safe in Denver and away from Irma.

While @wendow was away, she might have missed: Priority Pass Adds Timberline Steaks & Grille to Denver International Airport.

Thanks for asking about us! We got one of the last flights out of MCO yesterday afternoon. We moved our flight up and so glad we did b/c our original flight out was cancelled. We still had a great time despite the stress that Irma added. Now I am beginning to plan DLR for 2018 :) I need to go back and read all the great hotel rec's I received.

So, DIA finally has a PP lounge? Awesome! Not sure when we will fly next but I'll plan to check it out when we do.

Ok so what is the benefit from transfering ur from a freedom to a sapphire or ink account?

Is the freedom a benefit if you apply for the csr or csp?

What is the most sign up that the ink preferred has been offered? Wondering if I should go ahead or wait.

Does anyone think the csr or csp sign up bonus will be more? I know I should have applied last year but wanted the sw cp so did that business card instead.

Yikes- did you miss the change over from dec stmt cycles to account anniversary for your travel credit to post? That happened right around there- if you're under the old system you get a new travel credit when you statement closes in Dec and you could easily double dip. Gonna be trickier if you're on the new system. If you don't know SM Chase and ask them on what date your $300 travel credit resets.

Citi matched my AABusiness card from 60K to 75K on my first SM! Definitely try if you're still in the 90 window. (Also reports on DoC I think that personal has a 75K offer as well.)

Freedom cards can only redeem cash or gift cards. By transferring to a Sapphire/Ink, you can move those UR points to one of Chase's partners. aka United, Hyatt, Marriott, etc. a good example to use after that is like, travel to asia from the west coast cost like 35k, which is around $350.
If your talking about us moving Freedom points to Sapphire for storage, the reason is that there was a survey that basically said what would you react if Freedom points stay with the Freedom and cant move to the sapphire/Ink line. This will cut earnings in half to transfer to partners. Most of us have moved points over monthly now fearing this may happen but most speculations is that it wont happen.

Not sure what your getting with in Freedom a benefit when applying. I mean, its a great card to use along side the CSR/CSP.
Ink Preferred's highest offer was 100k. You needed to apply with a inbranch manager though. It should still be around.
CSR highest was 100k, CSP highest was 75k. Both i doubt will reach any higher for awhile since Chase lost a ton of money with the 100k offer.

@calypso726 Don't you live in South FL? Everything ok for you guys from Irma? You may have posted about your situation but since we just got home and I haven't been on much, I just wanted to check on you.

Thanks, but DH did that and it didn't work. No matter how many times he revokes access, when he tries to reconnect either with his current account or with a new account it won't let him get past that Link to Twitter page. It says, "This member id may not be valid or you have already been connected to #RewardsPoints. Please confirm that this is your Marriott Rewards ID. If so, please logout from the Your Account link above and connect with the social account that you have already successfully linked, and then add additional social accounts." So frustrating. At least we got an account set up for me.

Thanks for the responses. That makes sense now why I've been seeing many post about transferring ur. Why do you need to apply in branch? Is there a benefit vs just applying online for the CIP?
