I love credit cards so much!

I'm no expert in AA miles but Keep in mind that a Citi Personal AA offer will add to your 5/24 count. You could consider the biz card which would keep your 5/24 unblemished.

Also - were you aware you can use AA miles at 1cpp towards Disney hotels?

is this part of the gravy train thing ya'll keep mentioning? I haven't paid attention b/c we only fly SW, but Disney perked up my ears...

Ha, I did the same thing yesterday! AKV resale. I hear everyone say they wished they did it sooner, and I always say it too. The new restrictions coming pushed me to do it. Now to pass ROFR...good luck to you! We might be neighbors soon :)

Thanks to @striker1064 and others for the advice!

Congrats...hope you make it through and I hope it isn't a long process for you...seems like Disney has been taking their 30 days to make their decision.

I saw this posted in some other threads and figured it was CC and discounted Disney gift card related:

"Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to Introduce New Payment Card Policy Beginning Feb. 27"

https://www.wdwinfo.com/news-storie...uce-new-payment-card-policy-beginning-feb-27/

This sounds like it’s going to make paying room charges with gift cards a mess. I barely remember to go to the front desk the night before check out to pay off all the charges, now it sounds like I’d have to go daily, if not more to prevent the charges from going on the cc on file. I know the cc charges can be refunded if paying with a gc instead...it just seems like it would be a hassle to have to do that each time.

I guess I don't understand
I understand...yet...I don't understand. :worship: I don't think there was a hold before but now it seems like there is? Isn't a room paid before you stay in it, thus bringing your hold back to $100. Has no impact on me, but may with people that use those things...um...what are they called?? Oh...Debit cards!

The less they reverse, the better. Mine got screwed up before. Since then, I tend to go every two days and bring my balance back to $0 with a gift card.

I had to go to recon for my CIC today. I'm just 1 DP, but here are stats as perhaps a what not to do, lol. I was told too many new cards and too much credit (I didn't lower it, though it was below 50% income).

CSR 9/9/2018
CIP 9/20/2018
CIU 11/4/2018
CIC 1/11/2019
Apparently 4 cards in 5 months gets sent to recon :P Congrats on getting approved tho!!

Ya, I’ve had issues with refunds too. Spent a good 45 min once at the front desk trying to sort everything out. Definitely don’t want to have to deal with that all the time. Sounds like under the new system, even every two days wouldn’t be enough if you charge a lot to the room everyday, like we do whenever we aren’t on the dining plan.

I need some help deciding if I should keep my SPG personal, my one year is up. Not sure it's worth keeping since I won't get the free night until it's too late to avoid the fee. Haven't put much spend on it lately. I also have the SPG biz that will be coming up on one year in march. I can't decide what to do!
You and me, girl, in the same boat :) As usual lol! I have the spg pers up this month (for dh) and his spg biz in March and then my spg pers and biz right behind those. I spent some time looking at resorts today that we could use the free nights at. There are lots of lovely options but most of what comes up on the blogs are int'l locations. That just isn't the season of life our family is in right now. I'm leaning towards cancelling the cards but I'm not wanting to get on Amex's bad side so really trying to find a valuable use for the FN certs so I can justify keeping the cards open for at least another year.

Well Dh decided we are getting an Airbnb gift card with the staples offer. We didn’t get the 30% chase offer but that would’ve been nice to pair with this RMN offer

ETA: jk Dh decided not to do it lol. We’re indecisive today
I pulled the trigger on a Disney GC. At this point it doesn't look to have tracked for me. What is it with me & Staples & RMN?!?
