I love credit cards so much!

So I just learned on GrubHub you can do pick up to save the delivery fee. Tons of local places are in my area (but I’m MetroBoston so not sure what you have). Our local pizza place is on there so I can pick up and get the $10 credit. Where it says “delivery” on the top bar click “change” then there will be a tab for pick up.

Btw I love this card. A keeper for sure!!!!!

Oh that's great to know! I don't live or work anywhere that I can get delivery.

She won't be talking with the actual insurance co. The agent we use sells several different companies so they'll be able to answer her questions without contacting the insurance co. We're aware that just asking can cause rate hikes, but since the ins co won't know unless a claim is done there shouldn't be an issue.

Also, I do think the claims stay with the house as well as the person that made the claim. It was brought up when I first insured my house in NC that there had been a roof claim years before from hurricane damage. That had nothing to do with me but was still there as something that had been done with the house. I would think due to the 2 flood claims on your house the next person to insure it had to pay a higher rate because of the likeliness the ins co would see that it happens again.
Maybe it varies by state because nope here it’s the insured who has a record, not the property. And the person I talked to the very first time, when I never filed, is also a multi company agent. She still recorded it in my file, which apparently stuck.

I thought Kroger worked? I haven't had luck so far but I'm hoping it's user error.

When you say Metabanks how do you know that it's Metabank? Is it a Visa or something else? Does the card say Metabank somewhere on it?
I’ve only done s+s so it might have been your experience I thought of with Kroger! Seems like it should work just no idea how there specific POS works. The Metabanks say it on the back of the gc in small print they are Visa or MC and only sold at grocery stores or online (gc mall, etc). If you got the WM route you need those. Otherwise the others are ok at most grocery stores I think. I’ve been getting the Vanillas at Bjs and Walgreens (freedom 5% right now)

What amount do you purchase at one time? Is there a best number for maxing what you get for the fee? I am sorry, I have never bought a MO before.

I'm sorry for the million questions...on the GCM site, which design do you choose to make it look like a real debit? I was glancing at them and they all seemed to have very gifty designs.

Thanks for all your help! I need to get Ibotta I guess. And I had no clue MOs were that cheap. Was expecting it to be a couple bucks each. Now the profit is starting to make sense in my head.:teacher:

I will usually purchase 2 at a time (just switched to this) and ask for separate receipts. That way if they look, and some have, they will not see two different card numbers there. I am more comfortable purchasing from the younger crowd as they seem to care less. I have been stopped by the older crowd before. Only at certain stores though.

I try to choose a basic design that drowns out the gift area and the amount. I haven't done this in several months as I have been getting them fee free from BJs. They have quite a few designs to choose form.

S&S MOs are $1 for $500 increments and I think Walmart are $.88.

I haven’t run into this yet. I tend to look for the younger teens when they are working they don’t seem to care. The machines are kind of hidden by a large desk. One woman did comment that I swiped and not chip and pinned and I just said it was an old card

This! I like where the desk hides the machine.

When's the last day to get the rose gold card? I thought that specific color would go away at some point this month.

Nov 9th but I am sure it has been answered already.

Did the bonus points from the SW RR shopping portal thing post? The one that ended 11/18? I see points for my purchases but not the 500 bonus yet. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it.

I just got an email 30 minutes ago that my 3000 points posted. Funny that the purchase points haven't posted yet from giftcards . com (tagging @speedyfishy )

Small print near the end of the paragraph on the back. They issue both MC & Visa.

We're back from our trip to DLR and San Diego and I haven't even started to get caught up yet, but I'm starting to work on dining reservations for our June trip to WDW (lost track of time with the holidays and missed the boat on the six month mark), and I'm totally overwhelmed with trying to decide which park to go to which days this far in advance! How do you guys make those decisions? Do you use a crowd calendar? TIA!

See if you can get it covered under warranty or something. I had a power issue that fried my new Tivo and my dishwasher. When I called in about the dishwasher the lady I got was super nice and did it as a warranty repair. I was still in my return window with the Tivo so I returned it as not working. Wrong, maybe but it wasn't working and was plugged into a surge protector along with the tv and dvd player that didn't have any problems so I can't say for sure that the power was the problem. It could have been a coincidence.
I bought it at Costco around Thanksgiving so I am probably going to just take it back. The only problem with that is finding an adequate replacement. There were so many to choose from then and now their inventory is practically zilch.

Crazy about the dishwasher! You never think about power surges affecting them.

I just opened a Chase checking and savings account to get the intro bonus. I initially funded them with my debit card and then deposited checks to each via the app to meet the minimum daily limits to avoid fees. I placed an external transfer to help meet the savings minimum since mobile deposit will not allow that much money in a month and now that I re-read the fine print it states "deposit."

Would my transfer from an external checking account be considered a "deposit?" I really wanted to avoid going to the bank if I could and was planning on making a second transfer this week. Am I reading too much into it, or should I just go to the bank one day and deposit enough and take my transfer money back?

Okay Hilton free night people....I'm debating taking the 13yo to Chicago for her bday for Hamilton. She saw it in NYC with my mom and is dying to go again. Her bday is St. Pattys and she's wanted to see the river green. I'm looking at the Waldorf to cash in on the free nights coupon.

Can I book now and hold it but if I decide to use those free nights for the BF and I in Feb, could I cancel and get the voucher back? I know when you book with points you can cancel and get the points back. But can you with free nights too?

I had this dilemma 2 years ago when we went. I decided to just pay the AP rate. I thought about cashing out URs to cover the cost, but decided not to in the end. It depends on what AP pass you are buying. When I did it was $10 more for the seasonal APs than the 3 day pass. Had planned on just buying one, but at that price I upgraded all of us and we got another trip out of them.

Thank you! I am trying to convince DH we should consider upgrading all of the tickets to AP’s, so we can return again. This might seal the deal with him.

@PolyRob or anyone else who has been thinking of DVC resale...have you seen the news about more resale restrictions? Huge thread on DVC purchasing board. Now I am back to being glad I bought this summer...

OH WOW! I had not seen this yet. How crazy? I think this is going to hit resale hard. All the other things weren't as major, but not being able to stay in a new resort? It will also discourage people from buying direct and adding-on. I shouldn't be shocked, but can't believe its finally happening.

I don’t know if Universal is still offering it or if you can upgrade tickets but when I purchased my APs in Nov (that we’ll be activating at the end of the month), they were offering 3 or 6 extra months depending which AP you purchased. We purchased the 2nd to the highest level but might upgrade when we get there to the highest.

Also, when we went at Thanksgiving and used an AP rate at SF, we were never asked to see our APs. I think others have had that experience of AP not being verified. I was fully prepared to activate my AP, if need though.
