Ah, did ya'll notice the annual fee is higher on the PRG page now? Listed as $250.

Yup. Glad I applied for the offer with the first AF year waived last week. I also enrolled in the dining benefit.

Thanks.just coming back to update...

@Alexle2007 @calypso726 @GlamMistress ...thanks for the DPs. What a difference 2 hours makes...called in and the CSR was totally helpful. Getting my rose gold card in 7-10 days and also added DD as an AU. Now to find a label maker so she knows to switch dining/Publix spend to that card and away from EDP. I have a feeling my EDP will be pc'd or just cancelled since I primarily use it for groceries and gas and I have a 3xMR gas card in the biz gold.

Thanks again!

You’re welcome. I need to have DH cancel his EDP too. I will be cancelling my ED no fee card to make room for another Amex credit card. Between the BBP and this one, there is no reason for me to keep the ED even at no fee.

oh I want that rose gold card but I'm 2/24 and still have to hit Chase biz card(s) and maybe SW for the CP

Wait for a better offer.

Unfortunately, you missed the train on the 50k MR and first year AF waived offer. The current offer is 25k MR, up to $100 in statement credits after getting 20% back on $500 spend in the restaurant category, and a $250 AF not waived.

If it makes you feel any better, my wife is 2/24 and we went for the PRG before the old offer was pulled. Her app got the bonus denial pop up, so she's not getting her own card (or the old bonus) for now, and will just have to go back to pillaging Chase until she can get back into Amex's good graces.

I will note that if you're interested in the Rose Gold metal card, it's supposed to be a "limited edition" that'll be available only until 1/9/19. My wife will also have to settle for Rose Gold on her AU card for now.

So I'm thinking that the 4x on dining and groceries with the updated Amex Gold might just spell the end for our blue cash preferred and Amex Everyday cards - need to free up some Amex slots for future opportunities.

If i have this right - keeping the BCP, maxing the $6k grocery category at 6x points and paying the $99 fee means an effective 1.667c of fee for each $ spent on groceries. Therefore reducing my cashback earn to an effective 4.33%. As I value 4x MR higher than 4.33% cashback, then I think the BCP has got to go.

Amex restricting the Amex offers to one per person across all cards has certainly changed the keep/close decision process on these cards.

Since you're considering the AF on the BCP, the Amex Gold's AF is being bumped up to $250, but at least it's offset by a $100 airline credit and $120 dining credit to Grubhub, Seamless, Cheesecake Factory, Shake Shack, and Ruth's Chris.

True - but I was coming at it from the viewpoint that I was keeping the Amex Gold anyway - so the AF increase on that card was not relevant to the decision to keep or close the BCP.

Not even sure I will get that much use out of the new dining credit - maybe $20 - $30 per year. Probably means DW and I splitting the check if we eat at Ruth's or CF.

Haha. You're not going to swing by the Cheesecake Factory or Ruth's Chris every month to buy a $10 gift card? That's what I'm planning to do -- or a slice of cheesecake. Nom nom. I guess it's a good thing my wife isn't getting her own card. She wouldn't bother.

My problem with it would be... I don't like Cheesecake or the Cheesecake Factory :duck:

Looking at Nashville hotels again for Friday night... I'm very tempted to book the Fairfield downtown/gulch area on points. It's 35k, but for some reason it's coming up as $850 that night! Think of my inflated value!

Has anyone successfully gotten the AT&T credit on their biz Amex? How long does it usually take? My bill posted on 10/1 and I immediately got the congratulations email but nothing has posted yet. My Exxons usually take 2 days to post, just did the Starbucks and it took 1 day.

ETA - nevermind posted within minutes of me posting here.

:offtopic: I know I can get a quicker answer here than the discount board...thanks in advance....
Is there any way I can look up AP room discount availability before buying my AP? I am trying to decide on the timing of my purchase. If it helps me with a room for my dec trip then I will buy now. If not, I can wait...Thanks dischurners!
