I love credit cards so much!

I've made my Citibiz AA (9 mos old) the card on my Masterpass account, linked it to Plastiq. I've made 3 Plastiq payments so far and all of them have coded as a purchase. One of them is a partial mortgage payment, but I won't know until the payment is processed by my mortgage company how they will end up processing it.

#1 - I think it's fine to use for MSR. Well timed for the Masterpass promotion.
#2 - I would be too, and since my partial payment is pending I don't have any advice on this other than it will depend on your mortgage company.
#3 - To send ACH, you need the routing number and account number of your mortgage company which I can't imagine they would give to you.
#4 - See above, I think check is your only option.
#5 - That might be close, especially since you can only send $250 max each time. I submitted my first partial payment on 7/24, and it won't be delivered until 8/2 (because I made a manual entry for the mortgage company since I would like to make payments on my new CIP and wanted to check if this will work first*).

You are probably going to need to call your mortgage company to see how they handle partial payments and do they limit the number of partial payments. I haven't called myself; I decided to make a small payment, in the memo field I put "partial payment" and when it gets delivered I'll log into my mortgage account and see what they did with the money.

* I realize MC allows mortgage payments thru Plastiq and this might not mean that my CIP will work, but it was a fee free way to get my doctored mortgage company name into Plastiq to start.
I just tried adding my Citibiz AA to Masterpass and it says “not available for your card”. :scratchin

I have never used an AMEX offer before but want to use the Samsclub.com one.

Will it work if I order a Sam's giftcard or only third party?

I'm trying to decide whether to drive 2.5 hours to OKC to the nearest Chase branch to open a checking account for the $300 bonus. I did it last year, but can't decide if I should again. I tried opening the account online but since my state (KS) doesn't have a Chase branch, it won't let me. If they ask why I'm wanting to open a new one when I closed one 8 months ago, I'm not sure what I'd say though. I tried to talk DH into opening one also to make it more worth the drive, but he's not interested. I can leave early in the morning and be back by 12 or 1, which isn't bad, would probably take about $45-$50 in gas. When I think about the time invested in terms of swagbucks, it seems worth it...

You can try buying a code on eBay for like $2. Idk if that will work for you. I used to get the mailer codes all the time when I was in NY but I haven’t gotten them recently.

Tough call. I feel your pain, they have such great bonuses but our nearest one is over four hours away!

If you are comparing invested time to Swagbucks it is definitely worth it!

Welcome to the thread! @disneymagicgirl gave you some good information.

Let me throw out another possibility - often Chase Bank (which is the one that issues the Disney Visa card) will offer bonuses for signing up for their checking or savings accounts. You could get a $300 sign up bonus for opening a Chase checking account and making one direct deposit (which for many of us consists of transferring money from another bank account). When you choose your debit card design, pick the Disney themed card, and that debit card will come with most of the benefits (discounts, etc.) that the Disney Visa card does. And it doesn't show up on your credit report.

I received my most recent sign up bonus offer in a Valu-Pak coupon mailer envelope, and Chase makes it available periodically. Some people who live in states without a Chase branch find they can't open a checking account. Also, usually you need to park some money in there to avoid monthly fees ($1500 min bal in the one I have right now) and you need to keep the account open for 6 months.

We are all about the free money here! :goodvibes

The other option for the Chase checking to keep it fee free is to keep direct deposits going to it. (I think all the accounts I've seen with a bonus have that option, but I'm sure it's probably not all) Hubby split his DD so $250 a pay went to the Chase account, which gave him the $500 DD per month to avoid the fee and then since we were "done" with the account now we left the min balance ($1,200 + $300 bonus) and transferred anything else out. Hubby changed his mind after the bonuses posted and decided he didn't want to move money every month so in the end he decided to just park it. But the DD is an option if you don't want to park quite so much (I'd prefer that money anywhere else, but he did the work for the bonus and it's his pay so if he doesn't want to work any more I can live with that :) )

An update to my quest with Chase Cruise and Tours: Krystal called me back today and the reservation I made directly with Disney had been successfully transferred to Chase. I said I had a gift card to use and wanted to use all of it and then pay the rest with UR's. Doing it that way was not a problem at all. So while I am sad to say goodbye to 200k of my precious UR's, I am so happy to not pay any money out of pocket for this October Disney trip! Thank you all for your help and suggestions.

Oh and @Lain thanks for the information on Amex Biz Plat. I will need to contemplate over the weekend I think. $10k in such a high MS that truthfully it scares me a little!

I have never posted on this thread so excuse me for my ignorance. I’ve tried reading up quite a bit but it’s all pretty overwhelming to me. So here’s my story. I do have the Southwest credit cards, both the personal which I opened this past October, and the business which I opened in April and I was able to earn a companion pass this in May. I’ve already taken advantage of several flights for this year with a companion and plan to do so next year as well. Now I’m ready to apply for another Chase credit card. My husband has his own business and I am his office manager so I was thinking the Chase ink business preferred card perhaps? We usually fly Southwest but we are planning an overseas trip to Europe next August for a Disney cruise out of Dover, England. I don’t have any other Chase cards. So I need suggestions on what Chase credit cards to apply for and what order to do them in. Thanks for your patience with this credit card rewards newbie.

Ok, bouncing some ideas off you all.

Amex cards have high MSRs that can be tough to meet. You can't pay mortgages, car or student loans with Amex via Plastiq. But you can buy $500 MCGCs with a 1.19% fee at grocery stores along with your usual shopping.

Plastiq has the Masterpass promo for fee free payments up to $250 each until 9/30/18.

Can't you load $500 MCGCs into Masterpass and make $250 payments towards your mortgage, car or student loans? Rinse and repeat until the promo is over?

If you can list all credit cards with dates issued in the last two years, even the ones that you have cancelled it will help us with a plan. Likely CIP is the a good start won't count against your x/24 number. Do you have any ideas for which airline you would like to use for the flights?

I've been going back and forth on applying for the CIP, just pulled the trigger, 30 day status message, used a support link. Cross your fingers for me, this would be my first business card, didn't think I wanted to get a business card, but now planning a trip for May, still in early stages of planning but thinking San Diego, Disneyland, possibly Yosemite and San Fransisco... just thinking of the redemption of the URs swayed my decision. Currently, hold the Sapphire Preferred, anniversary will be early January so probably will upgrade to the reserve for the better redemption rate, travel reimbursement and TSA precheck.

Welcome..There are a lot of great people here..I’m relatively new....found this thread in April..opened my Chase Ink Business CIP in May...met the MSR, then referred my husband for the CIP...we now have over 120,000UR and eating for my husbands 80,000 to post.
Like you we have the SW Companion pass...what I like about the Chase UR are I can transfer them to SW when I’m low on RR points....
If you list all credit cards you have opened or are an authorized user on in the last 24 months...and do the same for your husband...you will get a lot of great advice
