I love credit cards so much!

I just read on reddit I think, or somewhere, that the temp number is for that brand only. That makes sense because my spg temp # wouldn't work...thats because could only use it to book spg hotel. Same for hilton. I didn't read the fine print on that screen.

Then it would be a recent change because I remember @calypso726 paying her DVC dues with her Hilton Aspire instant number as soon as she got it. Unless that's the trick, do it in the first 5 minutes of opening
The only thing I read on the Hilton one was you may not have access to the full credit limit until you get your card.
Oh, I found where I was reading that, Hilton offer and benefits terms from the AmEx page:
"If you are eligible for Instant Card Number, you will receive an instant account number that you can use virtually anywhere American Express is accepted and a physical card will not be required. You may not have access to your full credit line to use anywhere the Card is accepted until after you confirm receipt of your physical Card."

But that's on one of the personal cards, I don't recall seeing it on the Biz one. Maybe it's a goof and biz cards weren't supposed to get instant numbers and that's why it doesn't work?

no idea..I just know it doesn't work..... so I'm waiting

anyone? anyone know about the cardmatch thing? I did some other reading which isn't really clear on it..... if it pops up,can I safely apply? or does it 'miss' things.... Like no CSP app since i'm over 5/24 and I have CSR.... yet there it is..... of course I'd LOVE to do it....

I know I should pay more attention, but this thread flies sooooooooooo fast. Do we have a bank account bonus primer or cheat sheet somewhere?
C'mon PAY MORE ATTENTION!! :rotfl2: JK :) I've thought about putting one together for us actually so I'm happy to try to put something together and maybe put it on the reddit page where we're accumulating such things if people are interested? Life is getting busy for me (in a fun way :) leaving for NOLA Fri!!) so I'll be swamped with work when I get back next week but maybe the next weekend or so I can put one together if someone here hasn't already done so (which is totally cool too, I'm not the only who hits these here).

I took the Marriott Nights and Flights leap! Cat 6 with 120k to AS. Although now I'm staring at that certificate seeing the expiration date one year from now going "OMG I didn't even think to ask if there was an expiration on the cert!"... So, does travel have to be booked by one year from now or completed one year from now under the current rules? (I know we have no idea what the future holds)

(And I am SO excited for these AS miles!! So many awesome options! And to my fellow solo travelers this is where it shines for us as we only need award space for 1 and enough miles to cover just 1 ticket!

From my understanding Cardmatch means that you qualify for that card, according to your credit report, they don't take anything else into consideration.

There are lots of DP on extending that an additional year, but according to the rumors the certificates will be turned back into points. But until Marriott confirms this we really don't know.

I realize this was pages and pages ago on this thread, and of course I'm too lazy to go back to look to see who actually posted it, but I wanted to thank whoever pointed out that face value tickets to Hamilton in Chicago are still available. I saw Hamilton in New York a couple of months ago, but I really wanted my kids to have the opportunity to see it too. (For some unknown reason, DH is adamant that he is NOT interested in seeing it. Whatever...) So I just bought three tix for the end of December to see Hamilton in Chicago! We had talked about going to Chicago anyway, since I've only been for work, and DH and the kids have never really been. We're planning a long weekend Thurs. to Sun. for the end of Christmas break. Tix are for a Sat. matinee.

For those of you that got the Marriott Personal, Business & SPG personal this year. And are at 32 Marriott nights and 10 SPG nights (2, 5 night stays). Does that mean we will have 42 Marriott nights once the program combines? Will we only be 8 nights short of Platinum Elite? If so, have any of you figured out the easiest, most cost efficient way of getting those nights?

I have to book 4 more nights this year, I'll make sure to stay at Marriott properties but I still need a cheap way of getting to 50.

it be a pretty wicked deal if this happens.
Right? I would love points instead of the cert but that’s just me. I’m in the camp that doesn’t think Marriott will screw people over with a minimal amount of points, I think they’ll issue out the proper amount to cover the cat you booked in the new program. But who knows?

I don't know either. I think I read it on reddit last night, that the rep told the guy that is why his hilton wasn't working, and then others chimed in that they had same experience with SPG, as did I.

A bit OT, Anyone used Amazon Prime Now to POP? (Hey! I am meeting my CIC MSR!) Going to order 3 cases of water and two 11" fans for our 11 day stay in a few days. Do you just order when you get off the plane/on DME? Is there any problem with ordering when we depart so its for sure to be there in case 5:30/6 is too late? We have a direct flight later in the day so land around 5:30, plan to drop the carry-ons and head to MK while our bags arrive. Not sure yet what we'll do with the fans, prob try to pack them if they don't fit anyone here going to be there on the 12th and want a deal? :cool1:

Me too. After sleeping on it for a week I am going to get one today as well. It will wipe out all my SPG points, but leaves about 30k in DHs account. I hate spending points, but I could use the SW points, and can find a use for the marriott cert or points (even better.)

Ok, thanks.

Also, forgot to note that for the direct deposit requirement for Chase, there's other ways to make yourself eligible even if you don't work. I used a push from M&T (which cost me $3, but for the $300, I could deal with it :)) to meet the DD requirement since I was lazy to go in and change my actual work DD. Do any of these DPs (via other bank hubs) from DOC work for you?

I used Prime Now last August to POP and it was a breeze. I placed the order before we boarded and set the delivery time to roughly 1 hour after we land. You can either meet the delivery guy somewhere if you make a note, but it's much easier to just have them leave it with bell services. No charge if you send it there (vs others being charged when they had it sent to the front desk) and just make sure there's a note in the delivery instructions to do so.

I'm really hoping this happens too, I don't need 7 nights at one hotel.

Thanks for the tip! How did you enter the delivery address? I was thinking "my name - Res#" under Name and then Pop Century under address 1 and then the street address in address2?

Also did they handle cold items? Was thinking some fruit for DD.

We did Amazon Prime Now to BC. Super easy. I just used the address from the resort boards for each resort. First line was the resort name. Second line c/o my name & conf # and then followed with resort address.

We ordered a ton of cold items...milk, lunch meat, cheese, yogurts, fruit, veggies...everything was stored in insulated bags. Bell services keeps it in the fridge until you pick it up.

Waaaahhhhhh!! I want one! I want one! Why does SPG take so damn long to transfer points between spouses.
